The Scientists

-3rd POV-

"The subject has fainted from exhaustion." The green haired girl behind the desk gave notice.

"At least she is alive, the surgery is a success. The second MANTIS is born. Klein, how is her body? Any side effects." Mobius couldn't take her eyes off the tube, as if they were glued to it.

"The only side effects are the change of eye color, and the longening of her ears. With how exhausted she is, it is expected for her to wake up after three days."

The green haired girl, now known as Klein said.

"It was so cool when her eyes glowed yellow! I wonder if she will be able to throw energy beams everywhere like that Goku!" One of the dark-brown haired girls exclaimed.

"Nuwa, control yourself. Were still in the lab of Dr. Mobius." The other dark-brown haired girl sighed.

"But Fuxi, didn't you see how cool that looked?!" Nuwa replied with stars in her eyes.

"You know about Goku?! Are you perhaps one of my people?! Ku-hahahaha!" Veldora started to float and went in front of Nuwa.

Nuwa stared at Veldora, her jaw almost hitting the floor.

"That's so cool! How are you floating like that?! And you know about Goku? Do you perhaps read manga?! Can you throw energy beams and make your hair longer?!"

Nuwa rained a bunch of questions on Veldora. Fuxi seeing Nuwa lose control of herself. Punched Nuwa's head.

"Stop causing trouble! You stupid-Nuwa! Can't you see we're still in the middle of the surgery?!" Fuxi finally snapped.

Veldora who was just about to reply to Nuwa's questions was taken aback by Fuxi's sudden anger.

"And you! You wanted to involve yourself with the surgery. So at least help us with the aftermath!" Fuxi pointed her finger at Veldora and yelled.

"O-okay! Who do you think I am? I am the best scientist in existence! Ku-hahahaha!" Veldora replied with a tinge of nervousness in his voice.

While they were still arguing, Kevin gave the Herrscher core of HIMEKO to MEI.

"Here, MEI. This is the Herrscher core of the seventh." Kevin said, glad to see MEI.

"I see, thank you Kevin." MEI took the core with a protective glove resistant to Honkai energy.

"We had a recent supply of solium. I'm gonna get busy making another divine key." MEI turned towards Kevin to hug him before going. But stopped after sensing the cold emanating from him.

"I'll be on my way now." MEI looked at Kevin one last time before she left the lab.

Mobius finally taking her eyes off the tube glanced at Veldora. "Just what are your genes made of? Nevermind that, just what are you?"

"Hmm? I am the Storm Dragon Veldora!" Veldora replied with his signature smile.

"A dragon, huh? Kevin did say you weren't human. Mind letting me inspect you?" Mobius looked at Veldora's body like a pervert.

"You can inspect my physical body all you want, but don't involve me in it." Veldora replied back pointing at his clone.

"For now~ after I'm done with your "physical body" your real body is next. And are you perhaps something like a spiritual lifeform? Since you keep saying "my physical body"."

Mobius questioned Veldora.

"Close, but no. I will leave it to your imagination." Mobius pouted and continued.

"Are you sure you won't lay on my bed? It can hide you from the rantings of the higher ups."

"I'm not afraid of some foolish humans who don't even know their place." Veldora replied, turning his face towards the body of the pink haired girl getting taken out of the tube.

"Besides, I will spend my time teaching people. Ku-hahahaha!"

"It's not that simple, the higher ups are constantly pressuring us to deal with you. We either need to fake your death, or do something to control you." Mobius exclaimed.

"And how exactly are you going to control me?" Veldora subconsciously let out some of his aura.

"I don't have a good history with being controlled. Last time I fought against my sworn friend. Do you know how painful it was?" Veldora stared at Mobius menacingly.

Mobius, who were a professional at dealing with angry people thanks to her dad. Kept a straight face.

"Then we either need to fake your death or you need to gain some achievements after joining fire MOTH. The higher ups would stay silent as long as they get their recources."

Mobius took a deep breath as she continued. "I will do the paperwork for you to join in exchange for the physical body you have given to me. Deal?" Mobius extended her hand at the still floating Veldora.

Veldora retracted his aura and shoke Mobius's hand.

"Fair enough, you have gained my respect. There aren't many people that can keep a straight face witnessing my aura. Even if it is a fraction of it. Ku-hahahaha."

'That was scary...This guy has problems. His mood swings are worrying too...' Mobius thought seperating her hand from Veldora's.

"I will send someone to show you the room you will stay in. Dealing with the higher ups may take time." Mobius glanced at Klein.

"Klein, be a dear and show Veldora his room." Mobius ordered Klein.

"But Dr. Mobius, I don't know where his room is." Klein replied without taking her eyes off the computer located on her desk.

"He doesn't have a room, just give him one of the empty rooms." Mobius intensified her gaze.

"Fine, follow me." Veldora, Hua and Klein went out of the door.

"HIMEKO, Kevin you two stay here." Mobius glanced at HIMEKO who was about to leave with the others.

"Even though you are not a Herrscher, you still need a check-up. Maybe after being a Herrscher your body might have suffered some changes. Come on lie on the bed." Mobius directed HIMEKO to a metal bed.

"And Kevin, do you have anything to share concerning the surgery?" Mobius questioned Kevin.

Kevin, who was standing on some ice. Started to explain the details of his and Veldora's fight.

"Hmm, I see. Fuxi, Nuwa, inform me when Elysia wakes up. I will be busy experimenting with Veldora's physical body. Kevin, you can leave."

"Understood!" Fuxi and Nuwa said simultaneously.

When I was in the middle of writing it, I had something's to do and I came back after some hours. So the chapter might be a bit weird.
