Using money

Over the following one week, Nancy lived like a queen in her own bedsitter. First before doing anything else, she sent Kshs 13,000 to her mother in the village. Her aging mother thanked her daughter a lot and even made a prayer for her over the phone saying, "My God give you more and more and enable you to get more…"

This was as Kaka experienced temporarily insanity over what he found out was his own withdrawal from his accounts but could not even remember doing it. Worse, he had temporary amnesia and could not even recall Nancy's face! he only knew he was in the company of a woman but could not remember if she was tall or short, dark or light skin, or any detail. Reporting to the police for him was futile as there was no case there since all indications were, he withdrew the money for his own use.

Nancy cleared her rent and also placed her daughter to nursery school. The school was an expensive one. It also had a bus which would pick them around the estate in the morning and drop them at the evening with parents or their guardians waiting for them.

Nancy did online orders for dresses, expensive jewelries, shoes and other items. Some were to be shipped Germany and others from India. Her orders amounted to almost 100,000. She had an expensive taste. She also ordered clothes and shoes for her daughter.

During the day as her daughter went to school, Nancy would wake up, cook breakfast, eat and go to sleep. She would wake up later and walk to a restaurant to eat. She would then go back to the house and watch movies until evening before going to pick her daughter.

Nancy for the few days that followed lacked nothing. She had all the money to eat whatever she wanted, to drink whatever she wanted and even sleep all day with no worries. But soon, the money was getting finished and she began to worry. She just did not want them to get to a point of lacking money.

Nancy one evening logged in to her Facebook account. She found that so many people had missed her updates. She did not reply to their messages but went to her email and realized her items were to arrive the following day in Mombasa airport.

"Aw! My sexy dresses are arriving finally!" Nancy said to herself.

Suddenly, her door was pushed. She stood there waiting for someone to come in but no one came in. She went to check who it was.

It was her friend Daisy standing outside with a smile.

"You mean, when you get money you forget even your friends?" Daisy asked.

"Oh! sorry, I am so sorry, please come in." Nancy told her friend. Daisy got inside the house.

"Will you allow me to pick my daughter? I know the bus is almost." Nancy said and quickly stood up to go. She adjusted her dress which went slightly past her knees. She had worn no pantie. The dress was slightly transparent and Daisy could see her mount clearly.

"Wrap yourself a little bit more." Daisy said.

"Whoever will be looking at me, what will he be after?" Nancy asked and walked outside. She went all the way to the gate and found the bus had just arrived. Her daughter came running towards her mother as soon as she stepped out of the school bus.

As Nancy leaned forward to hug her daughter, her dress was blown by some wind revealing her buttocks. The daytime gateman looked at Nancy for a while before quickly focusing elsewhere.

Nancy picked her daughter and walked with her back to the house.

"Mum am hungry!" Lydia said as soon as she got inside the house.

"I cooked some chips and sausage for lunch, eat them before we make supper." Nancy told her daughter. Lydia served herself and sat on one coach to eat.

"I need 2,000." Daisy told Nancy.

Nancy did not even say anything. She reached for her handbag and got out the money. She handed to Daisy and told her, "I know you also save me a lot when you have money, here. Take it."

"I will refund you next week when we get paid." Daisy said.

"Don't worry, what are friends for?" Nancy said, "Tomorrow I am going to airport to pick something."

"Did you get a rich Mzungu?" Daisy asked Nancy.

"I wish I could." Nancy said and laughed.

"It is just that you are not serious on getting one." Daisy told her, "You have such a nice ass, I envy you!"

Both girls laughed.

"Stop flattering me, you make me feel like a lesbian and I am very straight." Nancy said feeling shy.

"Just go to high end clubs where they go and I am sure you will get one." Daisy said.

"The problem is, they want to own you." Nancy said.

"True, he wants you to be having just him." Daisy said.

"Anyway, how have you been?" Nancy asked Daisy.

"Been good, just busy." Daisy replied.

"Me too." Nancy said and focused her eyes on her laptop that had just indicated it was running out of battery and needed to be recharged.

Daisy walked back to her house leaving Nancy busy with her laptop. Nancy focused on an old friend online who had always wanted to meet him. His only name on Facebook was Kim Kim.

NANCY: I feel so bored this evening.

KIM: What is the problem dear?

NANCY: Never mind, even if I tell you, you will not be able to solve them.

KIM: Just tell me and let me decide of I can solve your problem.

NANCY: Ok. The thing is, my daughter who is 5 is very sick right now as we speak. My house got broken into and the thieves stole everything in my house including my laptop; I am chatting with a friend's laptop. As if the devil was not done with me, my daughter woke up with fever, she needs to go to hospital and I have no money.

KIM: Oh! sorry, am so sorry. Don't you have NHIF?

NANCY: I stopped paying when I lost my job last year.

KIM: Ok, may she receive healing in Jesus name.

NANCY: I am scared, she is too hot I feel like she is dying.

KIM: Right now, I may not be in a position to help, but let me send you some Kshs 2,600 that I have on my M-pesa. Please take her to hospital even now. It is not good for a child to be so sickly and be left unattended.

NANCY: God bless you, you are so kind.

KIM: Give me your number please.

NANCY: Use the one I had given you.

KIM: Oh! ok. I had almost forgotten I have your number. A few minutes and I will send to you.

After 4 minutes, Nancy received 2,650 from Kim.

KIM: Conform received.

NANCY: Yes, received, let me even take her to the hospital now, I will update you how it goes, I am so grateful.

KIM: Ok, take her now.

Nancy logged off. She looked at her phone, laughed and told herself: Oh! my, God bless men with more money!
