With a grin, Wayne took it and pulled out a stack of parchment along with a sky-blue quill. To Hermione's astonishment, the quill began to write by itself, copying her homework. "What kind of quill is this? How can it write by itself?"
Wayne comfortably leaned back in his chair, stretching lazily before explaining, "This is my latest invention, the 'Ghostwriting Quill.'"
"It can be used to copy homework, and even if it's a thesis, the teachers won't find any issues."
"Really? I don't believe you," Hermione's face was full of skepticism as she watched the quill rapidly produce line after line of text. After comparing it to her own homework, she realized that the quill didn't just copy it verbatim; many sentences had been cleverly transformed, looking different yet conveying the same meaning.
A foot-long essay assigned by Professor McGonagall on Transfiguration was copied in just five minutes. Hermione read through it, and unless she had seen it with her own eyes, she wouldn't have believed this was just a rip-off of her homework.
"Want one?" Wayne waggled another identical quill in front of her.
"I don't need one." Hermione proudly lifted her chin. "I will never copy someone else's homework."
Wayne, in a magic trick-like manner, pulled out a large handful of quills. "What about these?"
"This is the Dictation Quill, which will accurately record whatever you say."
"This is the Grammar Correction Quill, which can fix errors in your writing."
"This is the Book Copying Quill, which can be used to copy books without missing a single word..."
"And this is the Filler Quill... It can expand a hundred words to a thousand, making it a master of filler content."
Gulp! Hermione swallowed hard.
Unlike the previous homework quill, these were incredibly useful. She wanted every single one of them!
"Want them?" Wayne looked at her like a big bad wolf tempting a little rabbit.
Hermione nodded eagerly.
Wayne's mouth curved into a slight smile as he casually said, "Oh dear, I practiced some spells last night, and my shoulders and arms are sore... If only I had someone to massage them for me."
In response to the quills, Hermione clenched her silver teeth softly and obediently got up, walking to Wayne's side, placing her small hands on his...
On his shoulder, the little girl gently began to massage. Wayne also showed a relaxed expression. Although Hermione wasn't a professional and didn't have much strength in her hands, the enjoyment of having an adorable little girl helping to massage was more than enough to feel good.
"Is it enough yet?"
"It's only been a little while, just hold on for a bit longer."
"My hands are tired."
"Hang in there, it'll be over soon."
Half an hour later, Wayne finally released the already exhausted Hermione and handed her a few quills.
"You're such a jerk."
As soon as she got the quills, Hermione angrily bit Ron's shoulder. Seeing him wince, she couldn't help but smirk, letting her little fangs show.
"Let's see if you dare to boss me around after this."
"Miss Granger, you're repaying kindness with cruelty!" Wayne rubbed his shoulder, grinning at Hermione, who was sharp-tongued. It did sting a little!
"What are you talking about? I don't understand." Hermione quickly stuffed the quills into her pocket, grabbed her homework, and skipped out of the classroom. "I'm going back to put my books away. We'll meet at the castle gate in a bit!"
"Just wait until you're in my clutches next time," Wayne murmured, watching the little witch's retreating figure.
At exactly two o'clock, the two arrived at Hagrid's hut, only to find they weren't the only guests.
To their surprise, Harry and Ron were also there. Their faces still bore the marks of their injuries; Ron had one eye swollen larger than the other, while both of Harry's eyes were blackened, and his mouth had a cut.
Hermione had been busy with the map and her homework and had completely forgotten about Harry's duel with Malfoy until she saw their bruised faces, and in a fit of anger, exclaimed, "Did you really duel Malfoy?! What if you got caught? How many points would Gryffindor lose? Professor McGonagall would go crazy!"
The more she spoke, the angrier she got. Ron couldn't help but mutter, "Well, we didn't get caught, did we? Besides, Malfoy was going, so if we didn't show up, he would just mock Gryffindor anyway."
He was somewhat loyal and didn't reveal anything about their encounter with Wayne. Hermione wanted to say more, but Hagrid quickly stepped in to mediate.
