CHAPTER 58

After leaving her grandfather's room, Penelope starts walking in the corridor alone. Her nanny is probably in the kitchen and preparing for her snack and Butler Gil is doing his other duty. But before Penelope can reach her room, she sees a sparkling item on the ground. When she picks it up, Penelope sees that it is a small white gem and it perfectly fits in her small hand.

The white gem is so pretty. But Penelope doesn't like what's inside of it. There are specks of black dust inside the gem and she thinks it is ruining its beauty of this gem.

Before she can inspect it more, someone suddenly grabs the gem from her small hand that Penelope also lost her balance in the process. Her knees hit the floor but the person who suddenly appears in front of her did not even try to help her. When she lifts her head, Penelope sees her uncle Ronald again. This time, he has an anxious look on his face.

"Why are you holding this?!" Ronald asked in a harsh voice.
