The King (continuation)

"We're here boss..." Moses looked out the window when he heard his assistant say this. He had fallen asleep and didn't realize the aircraft had landed. He quickly fixed his tie as he stood up, and turning to his assistant he asked "Any information on our lady yet?"

"Yes sir, got her home address and work place address. Hopefully we should be able to find her in any of these two locations. I'm sure if we can find her, we can get her to take us to her friend" his assistant replied. He acknowledged this with a nod and stepped out of the aircraft. He walked to the BMW waiting to take him into the city and got in, while his nine man squad had dispersed to the other cars in the convoy. Soon they were moving towards the Bellsview City of the State and in less than an hour, they had arrived in a suburban area of the city. He looked through the window of his car and saw his Assistant and two other of his men get out of one of the other cars. They walked quickly into a building and shortly after, his assistant worked up to his car and tapped on the tinted window screen of the car.

"Yes..." Moses said after winding down the window screen.

"Going by the information I just received, it appears that Mellissa has moved out of town shortly after our last visit. The neighbors say she was involved in some sort of scandal that involved the police and had to run out of town before they got here. And it also seems she moved on the very night of the incident and may never return to the city again" Moses knew what his assistant meant by the scandal but he remained quiet. Handing him a folded piece of paper, his assistant continued

"And sir you might need to take a look at this" Moses stretched out his hand and collected the paper. He opened it slowly and as he looked at it, he found himself staring at a perfect sketch of himself. "Wow! this artist is good" he thought. He handed the piece of paper back to his assistant.

"It seems our lady has a perfect image of you in her mind, because this is a spitting image of you boss. She must be from a rich home too because her family, through the police have placed a bounty of five million naira on you sir. I will recommend you lay low so no one sees you" his assistant added. Moses nodded with a smirk on his face "Put that in a frame for me. I need it on my office table by Monday" he instructed while winding up the car window. He smiled to himself as he watched his assistant shake his head while walking away to the other car. Five million naira for anyone who could give the police information about him? What a cheap offer. No one in his entire staff list was paid less than 10 million naira monthly and that would probably be the domestic staff and drivers. However he didn't overrule the fact that the family must be rich to be able to make such offer but not rich enough to challenge him, even though he knew he deserved such reaction from them. So she was rich? No wonder she had rejected his offer even after increasing it. But he had also encountered rich models, heiresses and other pretty ladies who threw themselves at him. Why did she still reject him after seeing the handsome face of a man who had offered so much just to have her for one night?

Now that their only hope of finding the mystery girl had escaped from the city, there was no point remaining there. He resolved to send a private detector into the city to see if they could find her. He knew his heart will never know rest until he is able to find her and make it up to her; he would do and give anything to find her. He only wished when he did find her, she'd be able to realize that he was under the influence and forgive him. He picked up his phone and called his assistant

"We're going to Green Bay City"

"Sir, do you mean you're going home to your dad?" his assistant asked with concern. He frowned and rubbed his forehead, he perfectly understood the poor man's worry. "Yes, we're going to my dad's"

"Okay boss. Do you need me to send a message ahead?" he asked on the other end.

"No need for that. If he doesn't accept my presence or if he is not available, all the better" and he hung up.

His assistant was always shaky around his home especially his dad, this was why his father called him "a jelly fish" because of how panicky he always was. The presence of his father's gang members scattered about the premises Ak-47 rifles in their hands made it look like a war zone. But his father needed these men around because they had to be on guard to defend the family from attacks. His father had spent his entire adulthood stepping on toes both individuals, other Lords of the underworld and even the government but he was so powerful that it was difficult for any of these enemies to lay hands on him. Although Moses was out of the public eye as his father's son because his father hardly went anywhere with him, or introduced him to anyone as his son, he had made sure to provide him with body guards to guarantee his safety. According to Mr Flinn, one can never be sure of who the target will be and when the strike will take place so even though his son hated the idea, he made sure his order was followed.

Moses didn't like going to the White Castle (as his father's house was called) because it was so toxic in there. From his tyrant Dad, to his cunny and pretentious Step-mother and his mischievous Step-sister. Coupled with the fact that it looked like an Army base in there with so many guns and ammunition, but on this occasion, his father had ordered him to come home for days now. And since his planned mission to Bellsview City had been aborted, he decided to seize the opportunity to pay the old man a visit. He had no idea what the reason for the sudden invitation was, but he knew it must be really important for his father to have demanded his presence.
