Chapter 14 Father figure on market!

The duo left the premises in Ed's car. He had secured his mate in her baby seat at the back, yes she was now a big girl but he didn't trust these things (cars) since for the time he had been around now, he had seen how disastrous they got. Not knowing who exactly to blame, either the car or its driver, he didn't want his mate to suffer any injuries and that's why he'd have preferred to run here.

Despite his inhumane speed, he had never clashed aganist a tree or made an accident for running so fast since it was more like second nature to him. It came just like breathing. He also had never heard and vampire making an accident for the matter, humans were just very clumsy! With the exception of his mate!

The journey to the mall wasn't quite though. Clara suggested that they played her favourite songs and they did the sing along' since it was quite the distance from the palace to the city. Ed had also been planning on moving out of Jes' castle and move back to their penthouse, his mate had to go to school, make friends, socialise and not become some caged butterfly. He wanted her to grow curious about the world and in those times as she explored, he wanted to be part of each of them.

When she found her passion, he wanted to know of it all and do everything in his power to make it come true!

But.....there was the danger! He breathed heavily and his mate's voice reached his subconscious mind. Ed is everything alright?" Clara asked after hearing Ed sigh heavily. He just laughed, this girl was way to observstive of even the mundane things he did.

Finally reaching the city that was bustling with life thanks to the fact that it was spring break now, alot of children were out with their parents, in their cars, on the sidewalks, in shops! The ambiance was great that Clara stretched in her seat to over look the harmonious environment.

The sun was high up, shinning brightly and the light cool breeze kept blowing.

Wow! Ed this place is beautiful! There are people everywhere!!" Clara said as she fumbled with her seat belt once they were at the parking lot where they planned to leave their car and walk around.

Division C of country M was more of the children's section, specifically in the country. It was loaded with children stuff from clothes to the toys and all children stuff. Ed stopped the engine and got off the car towards his mate's door.

Not bothering with his surroundings, he didn't notice how many people gasped at his beauty. Ed rarely came out during the day, his years in sleep surely runined his happy go self as he was now better accustomed to being up at night like his kind many of whom he had encountered were either made ones or they hybrids.

They'd always look at him in shock and fear whenever he found them feeding on humans and many contemplated fighting or running for dear life since it was forbidden and the power he emanated was not one to be triffled with.

He didn't want the humans to get hurt, nor did he want his kind to die of starvation hence most of the time, he'd compel them to believe they have drank the blood and are satisfied. That way, they'd go away not feeling conflicted at the turns of the events.

He unbuckled Clarabelle's seat belt and helped her out of the car with a huge smile. Unknown to him, he was being watched by the curious feamle humans who hadn't seen such unearthly beauty that it even best the international standards at beauty!

But not his mate! Clara had sharp eyes that the moment Ed carried her over on his one arm as he liked the car, her vibrant blue eyes which shone under the spring suns caught all those women looking at Her Ed!

The pair were eye catching because of their vibrant features, deep blue eyes and blonde hair and Ed's purple eyes with soft light brown locks which for the matter, he hadn't cut in centuries! Hence his hair elegantly fell over his shoulders past his mid back and the clothes he wore, though being simple Jean pants and a white t-shirt, spoke of royalty while on his body. Not that he could help it, he was a great prince afterall and that had been imbedded in him for over two hundred years and now was over two thousand years so he found it really hard to just wake up and embrace change! Old habits die hard!

Is it possible for a five year old to glare? Yes! Coz that's exactly what Clarabelle was doing now, her big blue eyes were drilling holes into the faces of those women who however found her insanely cute!

Little girls and boys stopped in their tracks as each admired the pair, wives forgot their husbands at the bewitching beauty of the man and his unusual eye colour as he scammed his surroundings left people breathless!

Ed had sensed his mate's sour mood since she was literally clinging onto him and if he were human, he'd be chocking right now, not that he wasn't! Her hold on him was tight that he was forced to stop in his steps and catch what was making his mate distressed since she had been excited throughout the whole journey but that spark had now died and turned gloomy!

Seeing the handsome man with the cute little girl standing and looking around with a frown, some brazen women who opted to catch the eyes of the dashing purple eyes beauty made their way over spotting the biggest smiles they could. They were two ladies in their mid twenties dressed to kill!

Clara who had her face over Ed's shoulder was the first to see them and her hold tightened around him possessively! Poor old Vamp didn't know his mate was killing every woman alive that was staring at her Ed with those eyes!

Feeling her hold on him tighten, Ed grew more concerned and tapped her shoulder lightly. What's wrong princess?" he asked in the softest voice he could conjure. His mate was distressed and he felt his beast side snarl at him to find the source so they could rip it to shreds! But he was out and he couldn't act recklessly!

Do you not want to go to the mall anymore?" he asked but Clara shook her head a big pout gracing her lips.

Um, Excuse us!" Ed turned to the source of the voice and saw two human females smiling at him? Do they know what they are smiling at?

What would you do if you went out to mind your own business and pizza was brought over to you with those toppings filled to the brim?

Clara brought her face at the crook of his neck and now could look at the women who wanted to steal her Ed's attention from her! She was his princess!

Oh my God! What a beautiful girl you have with you! Marina cooed. She's so beautiful, jist like a doll! Is she your daughter?" she acted coyly as she moved closer to have a better look at the little girl who was dead locked on the handsome man.

Why wasn't she letting go, kids would be super excited to come out and play! If she left to play, she'd have a chance to charm the man! Damn! The little girls is so beautiful! Mist have been her mother's genes since she looked nothing like her father except for the striking beauty! She had to do a double check with herself as it seemed the man had really hight standards in beauty concerning women.

Well, yes, he did! Anyone below his mate's beauty, was a no show for him!

Those annoying women kept being all coy with Ed that Clara wanted to tell them he was a monster and he'll eat them. That'll scare them away, right?!
