Chapter 28: Reciting

Jahin's POV

I could not sleep so I woke up at 5 am and did some work. I could not concentrate either, I needed to know if Haya was okay. I can not live with the fact that she is with that arrogant old man and he even dared to lay a finger on her.

Does he even know who I am?! I stood up from my seat pacing up and down my home office fuming with anger. I grabbed the landline phone and called Morris, I needed someone to talk to and since I have no friends he is the only one I trust.

When I met Morris I was driving, he was on the street holding a board stating that his wife was sick and he badly needed employment. I felt a sudden connection to him because what he was doing is something not every man would do...I doubt even I would do that, most men let their pride take over every single thing in their lives that they forget what is important.

I decided to give him the job of being my driver since his Curriculum Vitae stated that he had experience in driving buses. Morris is my driver, my assistant, and my loyal friend. He makes sure everything is under control and he is also like my father. He and I are very close and although sometimes I treat him like he is merely an employee to me. He is honestly not, he is way more than that. He is family.

Luckily Morris's wife Martha survived her sickness and is now working for me also. She is in charge of basically looking after the house, she provides it with a homey feeling and also makes sure I am fed. They both do not have kids which is sad because they would have been the best parents ever. Sometimes I catch them calling me their son, which makes me very angry because I do not want them to call me that. I do not have parents.

"Morris comes to the house," I said as soon as he picked up.

"Okay give me 5 minutes," he replied and hung up the landline. They live at the back of the penthouse I built them a cozy small back house and a small garden. Martha likes growing fruits and vegetables so I thought it would be nice if she had space where she did what she liked doing...also the vegetables would not look good if they were a part of the main house's garden.

"What do you need sir?" Morris stood there clearly still very sleepy.

"Go pour yourself a coffee. I am about to tell you something very important to me, I need you awake and in your right state of mind." I replied.

After about 10 minutes he came back refreshed and holding two cups of coffee. He sat down on one of the opposite chairs of my table and put the tray he was holding in front of him. Martha made us both coffee since you said there is something important you want to talk to me about, he smiled excitedly at the father and son talk we are about to have.

I looked at him and smiled at the corner of my lips trying my best to hide how amused I was by how much he took this seriously. I do not remember my dad paying attention to anything I said let alone even want to listen to me.

" Reciting 21st-century style

She and I would get high on Sunday nights

She would make me look at the moon and point out constellations

I loved the universe, all its norms but I was connected more to the dimensions

Her eyes made me see how it is the simple things more than the complicated ones

Eating toasted bread with a lot of butter and the tea she made became my favorite meal

I was on a quest to know how she was able to be so kind and welcoming to everyone

My bitch never had bad intentions she would always say hi

Now I feel like I do not know her, how could she be so different

Like "I am so pretty why should I give a fuck"

I do not understand Morris I feel like I have lost the only one

-B " all the words came tumbling out of my mouth I could not stop myself.

It had been such a long time since I had been so creative with my words. I missed this, how Haya brought out the best in me. The last time I wrote anything was years ago when I wrote her a goodbye letter since then I have not written a single thing except business-related emails.

"I did not know I am in the company of the wonderful William Shakespeare. Who is this lady you are so passionate about Jahin?" Morris replied being sarcastic.

"Her name is Haya, I fell in love with her back in high school years ago. She is the most beautiful girl you will ever meet, she is quite silly too. The way she thinks and talks is so different from what you will hear all the other girls in my bed saying. She is so thoughtful and she always shows everyone respect. I have been unable to forget about her since the day I left...no one has been able to replace her and no one is going to." I said sitting down on my chair and drinking the coffee Martha made.

"Wow, you mentioned earlier that she has changed and you think you have lost her. What does that mean, when did you see her?" Morris replied stun by everything I said.

"She is the girl we followed yesterday," I replied feeling embarrassed that he had to see and hear that horrible side of her.

"What?! I thought the girl we were following was one of the supermodels you take to five-star hotels." Morris exclaimed.

I felt my pulse racing at the thought of Haya being like the plastic girls I f*** any day. I mean she does look stunning effortlessly but she is nothing like any of them, not even close. She is further away from all of them, she is what they are always manifesting.

"Never," I replied.

"How are you able to praise her so much even after what you saw her doing yesterday?" Morris asked.

"I do not know Morris that is the reason why you are here," I replied standing up from my seat pacing up and down the room.

"Talk to her," Morris said and I almost fell unconscious.

"You do not understand, I left her without any explanation years ago. How do you expect me to face her Morris?! what am I even going to say to her?" I replied.

"You made a mistake and she also made a mistake. The only way to fix this is if you both swallow your pride and talk. When I say talk I say sit down and catch up. Tell her how you feel hopefully she also feels the same way." Morris replied.

He is right, I did hurt Haya and she has hurt me too. We both still do not know the whole story behind our actions so now I guess I have to find a way for the both of us to meet. It has to look like a coincidence.
