"That's good to hear. Um, is there anything you're having trouble with?"
Was this the sixth time he had asked that?
He kept repeating questions about whether he had anything he wanted to do, any inconveniences, or anything he desired.
Damien was well aware that he wasn't in a position to make many demands. Moreover, it was only the second day since he had come to this mansion—he had spent the first day just sleeping in the bedroom—so he didn't yet know what he might be lacking or what would cause him trouble.
"Yes, for now, I'm managing just fine."
So, he could only respond like that.
"...That's good. Um, is there anywhere you would like to go?"
How many times had he asked this?
If he could go anywhere right now, he would ask to go home… but, well, that was probably impossible.
He had a feeling he wouldn't be able to return to Earth, but that was just a hunch.
He didn't feel ready to give up, but it seemed that this had only happened once in the last 800 years.
It was hard to believe that there was any technology left that could return him to his original world.
He wanted to ask about what had happened to the Earthian who had come here long ago, but he preferred to delay his despair for a bit longer.
"Yes, for now, just being able to rest my body here is enough."
At least he had learned that they were willing to take him somewhere, which was a small victory.
That said, there was no point in continuing to talk about this.
Damien was growing increasingly impatient with Theo, who showed no signs of getting to the main topic.
Maybe he should take the initiative and bring it up himself…
"Um, then, is there something…?"
"Theo,"
Theo looked at him with a puzzled expression as he interrupted him for the first time.
For now, he didn't seem angry.
In that case, he decided to keep going.
"Theo, I have something I would like to discuss as well. Is that alright?"
"Eh, um, yes! What is it? Please, tell me anything!"
Hmm? What?
He had expected him to look curious or, at worst, to get angry, but he seemed genuinely pleased and was leaning forward with interest.
That was unexpected, but at least it was not a bad reaction.
He decided to proceed.
"Excuse me for a moment."
He said this as he moved his tea set and plate aside, clearing a space in front of him.
"Damien"
This time, Theo looked genuinely puzzled about what he was about to do.
For now, he set Theo aside and placed his school-issued bag in the opened space, taking out each item and briefly explaining it.
"This is a textbook… It contains materials used for studying. There are modern literature, mathematics, history, chemistry, and health education."
"Here are the notebooks. I took notes on the teacher's explanations while attending classes. And this is a complete set of stationery."
