The next day, I got up early and went to my yard and did the exercises.
After meeting Hermione yesterday, I'm sure magic is real. So I want to exercise and don't want to be a wizard in Harry Potter. They are rather lazy in my opinion, even though when I watch or read Harry Potter books, I find very few of them fat, I think that is related to magic.
After doing a little exercise, Edward went home and immediately took a shower.
After dressing, Edward immediately went downstairs and went straight to the dining table.
Arriving at the dining table, he saw his parents, it seemed they were waiting for him.
"Morning, Mom, Dad!" said Edward while sitting in his place.
"Morning, Ed!" said his mother happily, while his father nodded at him.
When they finished breakfast, his mother asked anxiously
"Will they come?"
"Mom, what are you worried about?" said Edward.
"Of course I'm worried" said Mrs. Williams, rolling her eyes. This is the first time she will deal with magic especially when it comes to her son.
Edward just shook his head, actually he was worried, only he didn't show it on the surface.
"Mom, I will be in the room, if there is something just call me" Edward stood up and walked to his room.
When he arrived in his room, Edward began to sit on his bed and start meditating. This was his habit, but this time he was completely immersed in his meditation and began to feel something around him.
He doesn't know what that is. Even though he couldn't see it but he could feel it in the form of light and had many colors, they are like magic. YES MAGIC!!!.
Here the magic that I feel is quite strong, I don't know how it is in another place. But I'm sure in a place like Hogwarts it's definitely stronger. I can't wait to go to Hogwarts.
When Edward was still in meditation, suddenly his mother's voice was heard from outside his room.
"Ed ... !!!, Ed ... !!!" shouted his mother.
Edward, who heard his mother's yell, woke up from his meditation. and immediately opened the door to his room.
"What's wrong mom?" said Edward.
"Someone is looking for you" answered Mrs. Williams.
"who is that?"
"Maybe from Hogwarts, she is dressed strangely"
When he and his mother arrived in the living room, Edward saw someone talking to his father. The tall black-haired woman with an emerald green robe stood there and she had a stern face.
Mr Williams, who saw his son and his wife coming, said to the woman
"This is Edward, my son" and said to Edward, "Ed, this is Professor McGonagall, she's from Hogwarts to meet you".
"Hello Professor McGonagall, did you take me to Hogwarts?" asked Edward doubtfully. He already knew the answer but he pretended not to know.
"Ah, hello, Mr. Williams. I did not take you to Hogwarts, I came here as a guide to introducing Hogwarts and magic to students' families" said Professor McGonagall.
"So, is magic really real?" asked Edward enthusiastically.
"I've heard your story from your father and you're right, that magic is real" said Professor McGonagall with a small smile on her mouth.
"How...?" asked Edward doubtfully
Seeing Edward's doubts, Professor McGonagall knew he wasn't sure, she had experienced a situation like this before and just by showing magic in front of them they began to believe, with that she took out her wand.
Mr. And Mrs. Williams was suddenly surprised to see Professor McGonagall, pulling out a stick from her robe, Edward who saw it also focused his gaze on the stick.
Then suddenly Professor McGonagall pointed the stick at the chair and with a swish and flick, the chair turned into a cat.
Mr. and Mrs. Williams, who saw that, had their mouths wide open
"How...???".
"Magic" said Edward softly, and have a surprised face.
So this is magic, and this is only a small part. Seeing it directly really feels different, I can't wait to go to Hogwarts.
Hearing Edward whisper, Professor McGonagall continued
"This is transfiguration magic. One of the magic you will learn while at Hogwarts" while directing her wand to the cat, and the cat again turned into a chair.
Seeing that, Edward still had the same expression as his parents. If not, then it will be suspicious.
After a few minutes, Edward saw his parents silent and began to worry.
"Mom, Dad, are you okay?" asked Edward suddenly.
"yeah, it's just ..." said his mother who had not recovered from her surprise, while his father had begun to calm down.
"Are there many of them who can do magic out there?" asked Mr. Williams.
"No, only those who are born with magic can. And more of them came from magic families, only a small proportion were the same as Mr. Williams who came from a muggle family. And they are all over the world" answered Professor McGonagall.
"Muggle?" said Edward pretending to be confused.
"Muggles are people who can't do magic" said Professor McGonagall.
"I don't like that word" said Edward whispered, but no one heard it.
"But how have we not known them all this time?" said Mrs. Williams, who has regained her composure.
"We have The International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy, it is a law that protects and hides the existence of magic from the wider world" answered Professor McGonagall patiently.
Hearing Professor McGonagall's explanation, his parents looked at each other and nodded to Edward.
Seeing his parents, Edward understood and said with a smile
"Thank you Mom, Dad!".
Mr. And Mrs. Williams also smiled at their son. They also previously did not believe in magic, but eventually believed after seeing what happened now. That's why they let their son go to Hogwarts, where their son can learn magic, and meet people like him.
Seeing them, Professor McGonagall was also happy, rarely seeing muggle families who quickly adapted to magic.
Seeing the time to leave, Professor McGonagall suddenly said
"Mr. Williams, it looks like we have to prepare your supplies for school".
"Where will we buy it, Professor?" asked Edward, even though he already knew the answer.
"Diagon Alley".
