The sun was shining bright when Sun He woke up the next morning. He looked next to him and Gu Liwei was nowhere to be found. Sun He winced at the pain behind him as he tried to get up. Remembering the reason behind his pain, Sun He blushed, a smile hanging on his lips. He slowly stood up and headed to the bathroom to freshen up. The door to the bedroom opened as Sun He was putting new clothes on. He looked behind him and stiffened at the sight of Gu Liwei's half-naked body standing in the doorway. "Did you sleep well?"

Gu Liwei's voice sent a shiver of pleasure down Sun He's spine. Sun He nodded before he awkwardly turned around, hoping Gu Liwei would not realize how much of an effect he had on him. Gu Liwei stared at the half-naked man in front of him and at the marks on his body that he had left behind and felt himself getting aroused. He went up to Sun He and embraced him from behind. One of Gu Liwei's hands fell to Sun He's waist soothing the pain Sun He had been ignoring while his lips nibbled on Sun He's ear. Sun He sighed and gave up on getting dressed. He turned to face Gu Liwei who smirked at the sight of Sun He's arousal. When Gu Liwei's tongue caressed the tip of his shaft, Sun He briefly wondered if he had been starving him before losing himself in the throes of passion.

-----------------------------------------------

Sun He felt complicated as he watched Gu Liwei leave his apartment with his luggage. Gu Liwei was leaving for a work trip to City N and would be gone for close to five weeks. Over the last few days, Gu Liwei had been like a starving beast. He had taken Sun He in almost every crevice of his apartment; even the kitchen did not survive their antics. Gu Liwei had spent almost every waking moment at Sun He's, only leaving to go to work or to get more clothes from his apartment. Sun He had been scared at first, because he thought they were moving too fast, but his happiness had outranked his fear and he had slowly gotten used to Gu Liwei sleeping next to him. Sun He was happy that Gu Liwei was leaving as he could finally get a break from spending all of his time in bed. He knew also that he would miss Gu Liwei terribly. Sun He sighed regretting that they would not be able to welcome the new year together.

Gu Liwei had been a constant in his life. They had celebrated their 100th days anniversary a month ago. Gu Liwei had surprised him with flowers, and a romantic dinner. After dinner, he had swindled Sun He into allowing him to give him a sensual massage. That massage ended up with both of them being coated in a mixture of oil and other unspeakable fluids. They unfortunately had to get rid of Sun He's sheets.

Sun He was at first not used to not having Gu Liwei next to him. Although they contacted each other daily, it really was not the same. Sun He felt more and more lonely the longer Gu Liwei was gone, so he called Tang Jing, and arranged to meet him at one of their favorite bars. Sun He had not seen Tang Jing in a month. Between Tang Jing's irregular work schedule and Sun He's work and new relationship, they had not had any time to hang out with each other. Sun He was looking forward to meeting with Tang Jing and thankfully Tang Jing alone, as Cao Zhiqiang was conveniently gone for a few days.

Sun He met Tang Jing outside of the bar and they hugged before heading inside the bar. After they ordered their drinks, Tang Jing faced Sun He examining him from head to toes.

"You look good. Seems like Gu Liwei is treating you well."

Sun He blushed at the thought of how 'well' Gu Liwei had been treating him and took a sip of his drink to cover up his embarrassment. "How is engaged life?" Sun He retorted in kind.

Tang Jing chuckled and grabbed Sun He's head, their face almost touching. "Zhiqiang is fiercer in bed now more than ever. What about Gu Liwei? Is he good in bed?" Sun He blushed and pushed Tang Jing away from him. His friend really had no filter. He ignored Tang Jing's questions about his and Gu Liwei's sexual life and downed his drink. He had a feeling he was going to need more than just one drink to deal with Tang Jing tonight.

Tang Jing laughed at Sun He's blushing figure and mercifully diverted the conversation to other topics such as gossip at his job, and Sun He's desire to open up his own studio. Tang Jing asked him if he actually planned to open his own studio or if he will continue working at Qin Jiang Media for a few more years to gain experience. Sun He explained to Tang Jing how tangled he was about leaving his current company. He had been with Qin Jiang Media since his junior year in college. He had interned there and worked as an assistant for a year before being formally offered a permanent position as a lead graphic designer. Sun He had dedicated more than six years of his life to Qin Jian Media. He liked his coworkers and his supervisors. The company had always treated him well, which is why he was unsure if he should leave. He was scared of experiencing failure after venturing out on his own. All the what-ifs that came with opening his own studio made him hesitate. However, he felt that his creativity might be stifled if he were to always work within the guidelines of not just the clients but also of the company itself. By opening his own studio, while he still would have to follow the wishes of his clients, he could be more fluid with his creativity and he could offer his clients more than he is currently offering them now. Most importantly, he could choose his own clients. He had been doing freelance work for a little bit over three years and he admitted to himself that he enjoyed that more than working in groups for a single project. While his current clientele might not be as big as Qin Jiang Media's, Sun He believed that one day he would get there.

"Go for it!" Tang Jing exclaimed. "If you spend all of your time thinking of all the what-ifs, you will never be happy or satisfied with anything in your life." Tang Jing knew that Sun He was always overthinking everything. If Sun He did not overthink, he would not be Sun He. Tang Jing had seen Sun He struggle with figuring out his major, although from afar as he had moved abroad since their junior year in high school, only to return to China two years after they had both graduated from college. At that time, Sun He was hesitating between a graphic design and an art major. Tang Jing had proposed that they would let faith decide Sun He's major, to Sun He's astonishment. Tang Jing told Sun He that he would write the majors that Sun He was struggling with on different pieces of paper. Tang Jing would shuffle the papers before choosing one at random. The paper that Tang Jing had chosen was graphic design. Tang Jing recalled how relieved Sun He had been when he read the major to him. Sun He's expression had made him that his decision to trick Sun He had truly been wise. That day Tang Jing had written graphic design on seven pieces of paper before reluctantly adding art on the last piece of paper. Tang Jing knew Fang Cai was the only reason why Sun He ever considered art. Fang Cai had told Sun He that he would be a great artist and that he should develop in the entertainment industry after graduating. Tang Jing had scolded Fang Cai so many times in his mind. Sun He was great, but Sun He as a great artist? Tang Jing would not have been a top agent if his vision had been as skewed as Fang Cai. Tan Jing never regretted his trickery as Sun He truly loved being a graphic designer. He literally glowed whenever he was working on a project and even when talking about his job.

Sun He thought about Tang Jing's advice. He knew he was letting his fears control him. He had explored the pros and cons of both his options as advised by Gu Liwei. He had thought about what would really make him happy, however he still could not make up his mind.

"Sunsun"

Sun He's conversation was interrupted by a grating voice next to him. He felt dread thinking about the only person who had ever called him "Sunsun" and did not dare look. While Sun He thought about what to do about Fang Cai next to him, Tang Jing had already gotten up.

"Look what the cat drag in! A cheating scum." Tang Jing looked at Fang Cai's pretentious smile and felt the urge to punch him. He had wanted to go beat Fang Cai up when Sun He had told him about how he had cheated on him, however Sun He and Cao Zhiqiang had held him back. It had been more than two years and Tang Jing still felt as disgusted as he did the first time he heard about Fang Cai's action. Sun He grabbed Tang Jing's hand, scared that Tang Jing might get them in trouble. He looked towards Fang Cai who he had not seen since the last time he had walked into the wrong box at the gay club. Fang Cai had not changed. He still looked the same as he did two years ago: arrogant.

Fang Cai's smile dropped and he ignored Tang Jing. "Sunsun, It has been a while since we have seen each other. How have you been these past two years?"

"How do you think he has been, asshole? You cheated on him. Was he supposed to be all fine and dandy?" Tang Jing answered for Sun He, grinding his teeth.

"I am not talking to you, you jumping peacock." Fang Cai gritted, turning his attention from Sun He to Tang Jing.

Tang Jing's anger flared up and Sun He, who sighed unhappily, pulled him back. "Fang Cai, stop insulting my friend. We all know who the jumping peacock is and it is certainly not Ah Jing. We have nothing to do with each other. Can you please leave us alone? We are trying to have a nice night." Fang Cai stared at Sun He and the hand that still held Tang Jing. Why was Sun He always so caring and protective of Tang Jing but never him? Why was he always taking Tang Jing's side?

"Go along, Dog Fang. You are not needed here. Don't you have some diseased holes to stuff?" Tang Jing piggybacked, sneering at Fang Cai. Fang Cai felt his anger build up. He stared at Sun He's uncaring face and Tang Jing' mocking smile and exploded.

Sun He heard Tang Jing scream his name, confused. He felt Tang Jing grab his body to prevent him from falling. Sun He felt disoriented and he could not hear anything. The pain in his cheek hit him all at once. He saw Fang Cai's contrived and guilty look and Tang Jing's horrified face. Only then did Sun He realized that he had blocked Fang Cai's punch for Tang Jing. Ah, I think I am dying, Sun He thought before he fainted.
