Chapter 14

[A/N:I am not changing too much here because,Peter needs to be ready for the war and Hadrian stepping up to kill Maugrim just seems wrong. Also,in the second movie I know book readers will find Peters behaviour to be out of character, but for me it makes sense.I mean Peter is the High king,so the thought of him becoming arrogant is possible after all when he returned back to england,he is treated as a boy rather than a man.

Then traveling with Susan to another world,I was thinking about A dicovery of witches.

After the third movie,I will follow the books.Since it is easier.]

Peter with his sword still drawn in his hand went with the Aslan and Hadrian to the eastern edge of the hilltop.

There a beautiful sight met their eyes. The sun was setting behind their backs. That meant that the whole country below them lay in the evening light—forest and hills and valleys and, winding away like a silver snake, the lower part of the great river. And beyond all this, miles away, was the sea, and beyond the sea the sky, full of clouds which were just turning rose color with the reflection ofthe sunset. But fust where the land of Narnia met the sea—in fact, at the mouth of the great river—there was something on a little hill, shining. It was shining because it was a castle and of course the sunlight was reflected from all the windows which looked toward Peter and the sunset; but to Peter it looked like a great star resting on the seashore.

That was Cair Paravel, which was a spectacular citadel.

Hadrian always found this view to be amazing, while Aslan spoke up"That is Cair Paravel, the castle of the four thrones. In one of which you will sit, Peter, as High King."Peter does not answer, while Aslan continues"You doubt the prophecy?"

What Aslan didn't tell was Hadrian had much higher authority than Peter. After all Hadrian being his adopted son had previlages like no other.Just like how Jadis and Tash, had authority over certain beings,Hadrian was also going to be allowed an authority soon. When the time comes.

Peter sighed and replied"No.That's just it.Aslan, I'm not what you all think I am."

Aslan spoke up"Peter Pevensie, formerly of Finchley. Beaver also mentioned you planned on turning him into a hat."Aslan then chuckles and added"Peter, there is a Deep Magic, more powerful than any of us that rules over all of Narnia. It defines right from wrong, and governs all our destinies. Yours... and mine."

Peter shook his head and said"But I couldn't even protect my own family."

Aslan replied"You've brought them safely this far."

Peter muttered"Not all of them."

Hadrian who next to him said"It's not your fault, the witch already had claws on your brother. She is very manipulative."

Peter was still not sure, while Aslan nodded agreeing with his son and added"Peter, I will do what I can to help your brother, but I need you to consider what I ask of you. I, too, want my family safe."

Peter felt slightly better,he knew if someone can help Edmund,it was Aslan.

While at the Witch's Camp,a dark valley all overshadowed with fir trees and yew trees.

Edmund is gagged and bound to tree as the Ginarrbrik walks around him and taunts him"Is our little prince uncomfortable? Does he want his pillow fluffed? Special treatment for the special boy! Isn't that what you wanted?"

Edmund was really regretting everything, he really wanted to return to his family and apologize to them for everything.
