Honestly your first instincts was to smack him one for talking to you like that. You were sick and tired of the whiny asshole. you'd never been able to do with whiny people well. Especially ones like him born privileged. 'Please don't, I know he's being a little difficult right now, but Jaune isn't a bad guy, he's just...angry at what happened.' Pyrrha begged.
Especially ones who flouted and cheated to get somewhere you had worked yourself into the dirt to get to for over ten years. When Pyrrha first told you about a few things about her friends to act as proof, and Arc's biggest secret with Pyrrha, you'd been so furious you'd torn a tree from the ground and tossed it into the distance. You'd wanted to tear him in half and drain him fucking dry.
You sighed internally, 'Alright..but I'm not just going to let him act like the world owes him something.' you replied. You weren't going to simp for this fucking buffoon.
'..Thanks.' Pyrrha murmured quietly before falling silent.
"You'd know all about lying wouldn't you Arc?" you replied simply before turning your attention to Qrow, "Any more questions Qrow?"
You felt Jaune's anger simmer and become indignant as he took in what you said. Qrow, having picked up his flash took a swig of it before waving his arm at the blonde, "..A few, but I'd prefer if you could placate him for now, he's gonna end up attracting a horde of Grimm at this point."
..That wouldn't actually bother you. More strength for you, and after seeing how absurdly strong that loon ball Tyrian was, you knew you needed to get even stronger, quickly.
You sighed and turned your attention back to Arc, meeting his eyes with your own. "What!?" he growled at you, fronting up aggressively.
You wondered if the idiot knew how much he looked like that fool Cardin right about now. All bark and no bite. The only reason he even had the confidence to front up to you like this, is because his team and Qrow were here and he felt safe that things wouldn't come to blows. Or at least, that they'd be on his side.
"I'm saying that Mr. Forged Transcripts would know all about lying?" you growled back, fur bristling with your rising ager, "Your lucky I didn't beat your ass for spitting on everything I worked so hard to achieve just because you're a spoiled brat."
The blonde staggered back as if struck, "..S-she told you?" he stuttered, looking at you wide eyed, as if the world was about to fall apart around him.
'My god why is he so damn fucking dramatic!' you raged internally. There was like nothing fucking manly about this guy at all! You seriously questioned why Pyrrha ever liked this putz, he had no fucking substance!
Was she seriously that lonely because of her fame it made her latch onto and fall in love with...this thing?
'....You're a bit biased on this front...though not totally wrong I guess.' Pyrrha quietly input. you felt a wave of embarrassment from her, and worry for the blonde. '..Besides, I've moved on anyway...there's nothing for me with Jaune romantically. There never was, I was just blinding myself to that fact for so long.'
"..Eh, this is getting kind of heavy, I don't like it..it's ruining my buzz." Nora groaned, pressing her head against your shoulder. Honestly, you idly had to marvel at how easily she accepted things as they were and just persevered..her and Ren alike on that front really. They were way more mature than blondie. Much more manly!
"Yeah, she did," you shrugged lightly at the blonde, "The big secret between the pair of you, she was sure it would be enough to convince you. Now shut the fuck up Arc. I wasn't fond of you to begin with, the way you constantly goofed off in classes and barely applied yourself while annoying the shit out of Weiss annoyed me enough. But learning this has made me lose what little respect I did have for you. So shut your fucking whining and stop acting like the world owes you something."
Arc bit his lip, and his eyes went watery. 'He's not going to cry is he?' you gaped at him.
"Can we stop arguing please?" Ruby stepped up between you both and held her hands out to placate you both, "..I believe you Cobalt. You came to save us against that guy Tyrian, despite being a Grimm now and knowing we might just attack you."
Ren nodded, "It is logical Jaune," he said, standing up and patting Jaune sympathetically on the shoulder, "It's alright to be angry about things, but try not to take it out on the wrong people okay?" he comforted his blonde friend.
Jaune nodded listlessly for a moment before sighing and wiping his eyes, "..You guys are right." he admitted. The blonde turned towards you and bowed his head, "..sorry Cobalt."
...Well, at least he had the stones to apologize like a man.
Before you could reply, Qrow clapped his hands, hard. He drew all the attention back to himself, "Now that this sappy-fest has been taken care of, how about we get some grub?" the huntsman grinned at you all.
Ruby sighed, "Not yet Uncle Qrow, there's still something I want to know," she replied, "You seem to know a lot about what's going on. Why did this Tyrian guy want me? Who's this lady he kept talking about serving."
Qrow sighed. And know just what he's about to begin explaining. Salem, that bodacious wet dream grimm queen that sauntered into your head. Your curious exactly, to what he knows about her and if it could give you an advantage in dealing with her.
