Chapter 72

All of them were seated comfortably with tea, biscuits and fruits in front of them on the table. Nyx sat like she owned the place and was just watching the show.

"I have finished the task you asked of me and I believe I have proved myself by changing the world. Now I believe I deserve to know why I was summoned here and the way back home." Naruto spoke as he sat straight and looked at Gaea with unwavering gaze.

Naruto didn't act any differently in front of the primordials while Diana, Donna, and Hippolyta were awed by their presence. It was an honor to them especially Hippolyta. Gaea was the person that kept this world safe from threats too big to handle. It was not the Olympians that kept others at bay especially since their powers had dwindled while Gaea remained in power like the old days.

Unlike the retarded children, she was never tempted by the words spread by Darkseid to tie their power to faith.

It was because they got weak that Darkseid dared to invade earth and he has done so in multiple universes but his avatar was always limited in power because he didn't want Gaea to intervene.

Gaea trusted the heroes to handle the invasion at such levels and they had done as she expected.

On the other hand, Raven felt her powers react to their presence as Trigon wanted her to kill them and open an entrance for him from the blood and bones of the Primordials, Titans and Olympians.

Her father was a universal conqueror beyond the level of majority beings in the Multiverse and not even Nyx was his match.

He had been barred from entering new dimensions through the team effort of countless cosmic beings. He was being on the levels of the Anti-Monitor and Specter.

As such Raven held Naruto's hand and calmed down her instincts while Kara acted the same as Naruto.

"You are correct in your assumption, my child. I brought you for a reason and left you alone to see, whether you were capable enough for the task." Gaea replied with a warm smile on her face as she indicated for her guest to eat the bounties of earth that she made personally.

"I am honored but, isn't there anyone else that you could have chosen."

"No, there isn't. You are the only that could solve this problem. I will explain so please listen carefully. This Universe is in great danger from a being that surpasses all of us in power and even demons like Trigon as not its match.

Our Universe has faced many crises before and survived one way or another and this crisis is worse than the previous ones by a factor. The threat will cause the Multiverse to disappear completely. Since I got this knowledge, I have been in contact with other higher beings to resist such a threat. From this we found you, you are deeply connected to the crisis.

There are only few chances of passing through the event successfully and they all come down to you. We are not sure how you can make a difference, but it is what we have found.

The threat is a universe itself that is consuming all other universes and many universes have disappeared. We only have a decade left to prepare for it before it consumes our universe." Gaea explained in a serious tone to impress upon them the horror of what they were looking at. This was slightly similar to what Anti-Monitor had done but none of these children remembered what had taken place as several universes had combined to form this current world because of that crisis.

Listening to these words even Nyx had a serious expression as the threat was just that dangerous for them.

Naruto and the group were shocked at what they had just heard. It was beyond their expectations by a thousand times. Naruto had expected something grand but what the fuck.

"Okay, I got your point about this threat that is going to kill us. But, how am I relevant in such a conflict?" Naruto asked as he just couldn't see it. There was no way ten years were enough for him to attain such power even if it was possible.

Kara thought back to her talk with adult Naruto. He mentioned the crisis and training but never said anything about confronting it.

'Why didn't he say anything?' Kara was confused now. She knew Naruto would never leave out details necessary for their survival.

"I see, you have finally arrived at this point." A person that they never expected to see appeared in this domain shocking all of them.

Kara was the only one who had seen him and they all turned to face Adult Naruto from the alternative future.

Naruto looked at his counterpart who looked just few years older than him but was supposed to be 100 years old. The man was a Universal Conqueror with a strict personality.

He wore casual clothes to this meeting and made a chair to sit while looking at them like they were his guests.

Gaia and Nyx were very much aware of his powers as they couldn't even muster up the desire to fight him.

"Why are you here?" Kara asked and broke the silence as Naruto was lost in trying to analyze the man.

"It's time for you to understand what you will be facing in the future. All of our survival hinges on the battle and just as you concluded, I have not faced the crisis yet. But it will soon arrive and I am like the final shield for this Universe. You must be wondering why Naruto, it is because the universe that coming for us has a counterpart for everyone else and Naruto is the only one that can enter the world. Not just Naruto but also people that only exist because of Naruto. It is the reason why he is the only one that can stop it. Of course not alone, since the counter parts would rip him apart if the other beings of the universe don't give support. He won't be going alone as I will also join to protect my world." Adult Naruto explained calmly with a small smile on his face as he looked at them.

His words finally shed some light on this mysterious crisis and made them understand why Naruto was chosen.

"Okay, I can enter the world but how am I supposed to stop the culprit." Naruto asked the question on everyone's mind.

"I don't have answers to every question, so we will only learn after trying it out. We can only prepare ourselves to the best of our capabilities and hope for the best." Adult replied as he got up and walked closer to Naruto and placed his hand on Naruto's shoulder.

"You have been doing well kid. I am impressed, better than my powers at this age. With that I bid you adios my friends and let us meet on the dawn of the battle for our survival." With those words the man disappeared like he came.

"With this I believe everyone has a clearer picture of our mission. We need to get Naruto to higher stage before we are hit." Gaea said as she looked at them and Nyx.

"How do you plan to do that?" Naruto asked as he turned around with a curios look.

"We can't inject you with enormous power directly and risk you getting rejected as well. So the only thing we can do is, let you beat different powerful beings to absorb them and help your abilities reach a new level. I will awaken your genes from your ancestor. The Otsutsuki are powerful species that travel across different Universes and devour planets.

They have been blessed by the Universe but their pride and arrogance has kept them from utilizing their full potential. Regardless, they are still one of the strongest forces in the Universe. With that potential, you can grow faster and inherit new abilities." Gaea explained gently with an expectant expression.

For Naruto this was some heavy stuff. Doing genetic manipulation with the help of an unknown woman that could easily fool his senses was a risky thing.

"Give me some time to think about it. We have years to prepare so just give me a month." Naruto decided not to be hasty about it. He didn't need Gaea's help to become stronger. He had other means as well.

"No problem, I will be waiting for you patiently." Gaea didn't show any discontent and placed her hand on his face before giving him a kiss on his forehead.

"My blessing will help improve your power over nature." Gaea said as she sent them back to Earth, making her the sole person in this domain.

Nyx had slipped by with excitement on her face that had been enhanced after seeing the Adult Naruto. She could feel her presence on him.

That man must have conquered her like he conquered his Universe.

"I want to play with you so much!"
