2245 - final break - one year later, youth rooms, Sunday night-

Caesar sat on his bed with a datapad in hand, Victoria in the bed to his far right. Her hands moved vigorously across the pad making final adjustments. 'Where'd he get all of this?' Thought Victoria. She had spent the last 15 minutes drawing camera angles and filling in their rotational speed along with mode types.

'I'm done.' Victoria said, messaging Caesar through the datapad. She smiled, glancing at his head with star-struck eyes before shifting them back to the datapad. In front of her was a massive yet incomplete blueprint. It covered everything from the youth dormitory and its many security measures to the underground school. And the main lobby, its stairways...entrances and even, the medical center.

She watched while he drew the final stairway, leading into floor d2 before adding a rough sketch of Kai's description leading up to server room 01.

'He's done!' Thought Victoria. She looked up to meet his eyes. He could see the giddiness plastered on her face, feel her thoughts. As she waited and guessed how'd it happen...They all were like this. Figuring out Caesar's plan had become the closest thing to fun these kids would have.

*DING! DONG! THE DAY IS OVER! IT IS TIME TO SLEEP!* When the A.I's voice sounded off. The recruits laid in bed, watching as their glass cages rose from the ground.

2300 - bedtime-

The lights dimmed but the kids stayed up. Their eyes stayed trained on Caesar, whose figure slowly faded into the night. 'Ready Samir?'

'Just say--.' Samir stopped. The lights flickered on before flicking off. Everybody watched as their cages came down and the guards charged in. Samir stood with his eyes trained on Caesar. His psionic energy flared, separating Caesar from his shadow.

He rolled out of bed as Samir's psionic energy congealed around his shadow, giving it a semi-physical form. Samir forced the shadow to pull its blank up to cover its faceless features. Just as the guards strolled past their beds.

They raised their batons, prompting Samir to hop back in bed. Just as a dark green light flashed within the corner of the room, attracting everyone's attention.

"Nothing's there?" Whispered Lokee.

He knew Caesar was involved but assumed he was in bed. They all did, because like Caesar. Samir refrained from discussing anything related to his psionics, although he couldn't help but wonder how Caesar knew. '…Only the psionic teachers and scientists should know.'

Caesar's vibrant lime green psionic energy had turned baleful and dark. His eyes glowed with the same vibrant yet, ominous lime green light. The dark baleful energy coated his body and datapad in a thin reflective shell. Slowly trying to infect his mind. Trying to enrage him as the surrounding light bent around its armor. And yet bits of it seeped out through his glowing eyes!

'Shit! My eyes.' Thought Caesar, shutting them rapidly. For a moment, he thought back to the days where this ability was perfect. Now, it was crude...the light, his eyes, its efficiency.

'I can't even call this cloaking. It's more like a side effect or maybe a blend. Cloaking manifests psionic energy around my body--if regular people can't sense psionic energy. Would the recruits have sensed my cloaking? In theory, yeah. So...' Caesar paused, stopping just inches from the door.

His head turned back to the children. 'Their shivering?' Thought Caesar, he could hear their teeth clattering and feel their emotions shifting to one of fear and dread. An eye cracked open, alerting Caesar of the exit and the kids to Caesar.

Some kids screamed then shot back towards the guards. They held them tight, unsure of what they had just seen.

Caesar stepped to the side as more and more guards came sprinting into the room. With pistols drawn and safeties off. Caesar leaned against the wall, slowly exiting the room.

The generators kicked in and the cages rose. The kids separated from the guards, but the incident still lingered, although most would not believe their tales.

Caesar's eyes cracked open with the hope it'd suppress their glowing light. 'Samir's shadow lasts around 30 minutes. If I can get to the server room before then, I'll have a shot at winning. But still, what do I do after? I mean whoever's running this place must be powerful, scary power.'

---Caesar pov---

No, I can't be thinking about that right now. I just gotta focus on the task at hand.

Ok, the hallways are clear, but the guards will be making their way out of the dorms pretty soon. At the same time, the camera system and motion sensors should be off for a few more moments.

But according to the blueprint, I sensed two breaker boxes. One was hidden behind a panel on the far side of the dormitory, the other near the dormitory entrance. Yet both run down through the same powerline! On the far side of the dormitory!

That powerline also runs through the academy above, the floors below, and everything else on this floor. It'll cost a lot of energy. But It has to be overloaded, or they'll know a recruit did all of this!

Let's go! Down the hallway take a left. Now follow it with a right.

Fuck, the guards are beginning to leave the rooms. So I'm almost out of time...take a left then a right; almost there.

"Section 1-5 are on! 6 thru 10 are next!"

That's good. If the guard's not lying I'm gonna make it.

"Section 6, on."

Doesn't matter. I'm almost in section 9.

"Section 7, on."

Shit, already! Damn! That was faster than I thought.

"Section 8, on."

Fuck, fuck, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK, FUCK!

"Section 9, on."

I can see it!

------- Pov over---

Caesar reached the panel as a few of the guards began to leave the room. His hands slid onto the metal panel, while his armor faded and a dense stream of his energy passed through the metal then into the powerline.

The energy split traveling up and down the powerline. The first stream shot up the pipe before stopping at some sort of node or regulator. A portion of it split right, stopping at another regulator. Caesar's pupils dilated, his energy ran wild prompting the two streams to go further than intended.

Rage seeped further into his mind, threatening the control he gained under Suki's guidance.

'Almost there!' Yelled Caesar, pulled his attention towards the second stream. Splitting from node to node, going further and further down the powerline. 'HoW DeEp DoEs ThIS GO!?' Thought Caesar, watching his energy, spread like a virus.

'Block.' Thought Caesar, with what little control he still retained, Caesar disabled power across a portion of the massive facility by adjusting the regulator's settings.

When his hands pulled away from the panel, the remaining energy ran rampant across the pipeline, disabling more regulators while overloading others before quickly fading away.

"Section 10--POWER'S FAILING! POWER'S FAILING! THEY'RE DEPLOYING ARMED MARINES AND FIREBATS! ALL GUARDS STAY IN THE KIDS ROOMS! THAT'S AN ORDER!" yelled a guard. He sprinted into the room and then blocked the door. While telling himself, 'If any of these monsters attack, I'm shooting them!'

Caesar grinned ear-to-ear, cheating as he thought. 'Hahaha. Yes, I did it. That should buy me more than enough time. All I need to do now is telepathically order the breaker box to shut down before moving to the one at the front. Along the way, I need to repeat the process to keep most of the academy shut down.' Heading back down the dormitory corridor.

His head bobbed left and right, as he followed the downed powerlines to the next breaker box. 'If what I'm sensing is right. Then like the last box, this box should connect the floors above and below. It also connects to a third of the main lobby's systems.'

After shutting down the breaker box, Caesar left the dormitory...his smile as wide as ever. 'I've already burned through a massive portion of my reserves. But It's all worth it!'
