Chapter 38 The consequences II

The scene outside was yet to be fully registered by anyone within the hovercraft. 

Outside, within the skies above the Nuit family house.

Small ships big enough for one person to fit into, that look like darts could be seen coming out of the X carrier ship and flying towards the Neutral countries darts that are doing the same, red laser beams leave the tips of the dart looking ships, and impact the light blue honeycomb shielding of the opposing dart looking ships.

The rest of the carriers from opposing countries are currently just staying neutral. 

Currently, the Neutral carrier is more damaged than the X countries carrier, as the Neutral countries is just a proxy used between all the countries, therefore their weight is not backed by military supremacy, but the knowledge of if the Neutral country is attacked, and the balance broken, the rest of the countries will gang up on the offender.

In a bid to keep the status quo, the countries that created the Neutral country, made sure the military technology will always be a generation or two behind the rest of the countries, therefore the outcome of this battle isn't very hard to grasp.

Despite knowing this, the butler still went through with his masters orders, as a servant of the house, it's his job to follow through with his masters orders, and despite knowing the risk of his butler, who is like a grandfather to him at this point, the master of the house, still ordered his butler to attack the carrier, which is superior in every way.

This decision, although based on anger, was not completely irrational, as what he is doing is forcing the hand of the other countries.

At worst, it will just make the Dune family have a bad outlook within the eyes of the other countries, as in the eyes of the other leaders, he should just sacrifice his daughter to ensure the world remains peaceful for as long as possible, simultaneously, he is showcasing the unstable variable known as the X country.

Within the meeting room underneath the pentagram school.

The Arly family head's lips twitched in anger, a singular question kept playing within his mind over and over again.

'Just why? Did I go wrong somewhere? My ancestors never mentioned this problem before.'

The Dune family head sent another message towards his butler, then he spoke out loud, questioning the X country leader.

''Are you planning on destabilising the peace?'' 

Another leader interjected before any drama could happen.

''Tell everyone to stand down, this is ridiculous, we are losing sight of the main objective.''

The Arly family head snorted in annoyance, within his mind he began to question if the methods his family inheritance are so proud of are truly the right way.

''I have long since order the vice captain to replace the captain.''

The Daralis family leader, the only matriarch within the room, a person who has shown no interest whatsoever while been here the whole time, and the only one to not be seen as equals despite being a point country, this has nothing to do with her gender, but family heritage, spoke out with interest.

'''Did he?''

Out of everyway she could have asked that question, she asked the question in a way that has many meanings behind it, but everyone in the room is smart, so no manipulation of this scale cannot be hidden between them.

Unfortunately, everyone in the room, misunderstood Miss Daralis motive behind the question, in true she was just plainly interested, so she asked the question, but as she has no respect for anyone in the room, she failed to correct her manner of speech before speaking out loud, this resulted in a glare been directed at her from Mr Arly. 

 ''He was locked up for treason.'' Mr Arly revealed to everyone gloomily.

He will definitely have a re read of all his family inheritance once this is over.

Miss Daralis laughed in his face uncouthly.

''What, this doesn't even make sense, how could a person ordered by you be arrested for treason? Aren't you just making this up?'' Mr Johnson said, the leader of the Tang country. 

Mr Blight just shook his head with a look on his face, that indicated a 'told you so'.

Mr Goldson, a family ruling over the Fengue country, and also well renowned for having a monopoly over selling technology, just smirked arrogantly while looking at Mr Arly.

The Dune family head's expression was… Well, expressionless, he was just waiting for the verdict, but no matter what, he knew his daughter would be safe, that's all that matters in this moment to him, hence the reason he can remain calm currently.

Seeing the expression's on the faces of his fellow leaders, Mr Arly, was truly thinking about making huge changes within his military.

Too bad it's already to late for such a decision, as currently, his country is facing an attack from spiders they were previously suppressing, while he is here trying to get down to the core of the matter, after all he is a leader of his country, therefore it's only right, he has someone to blame for the current destruction of his capital city, with this thought in mind, he made a decisive decision, to sacrifice the lives within the carrier, to be able to have a chance of capturing the culprits.

''It's best you order your carriers to just take down mine, after all, we cannot allow the cause of all this to escape, what if another shockwave happens, releasing those calamities, what's happening in my country right now will happen in yours as well.''

The faces within the room became more solemn, after all, what he said made a lot of sense, but the thought of the family escaping was something completely unthinkable to them before this, hence their lack of approach so far.

Unfortunately, this lack of approach, would be what allows the hovercraft to escape, because while they were all having this conversation, a while back Mr Dune sent a command to his butler.

Back within the carrier, a few seconds after the message was sent to the head butler from the leader of the house.

A hologram popped up with a gesture from Salia, before Salia could speak anything, the butler spoke first.

''Enter into a cloaked state, take your friends and hide within the great mountain's no country has sensors in that area, don't worry about the hovercraft been traceable from the carrier, as I'll deal with that. Stay safe until the master has a way for you to come back, the replicator within the hovercraft will be enough for your survival within the great mountains.'' As the butler spoke, his voice was soft, and he was wearing a small smile. At this moment, to Salia, he really seemed like a grandfather, not to mention the look in his eyes, really made her wonder if he know this would be the result from the beginning.

Before Salia could ask any question, the hologram dissipated.

Without wasting any time, Salia made a gesture, the hovercraft entered a cloaked state, unable to be tracked by any of the carriers with their current technology, only a land based sensor is capable of tracking a cloaked craft, and no land based sensors at percent near the great mountain's, as no human life lives there.

After Mr Arly made his decision to everyone in the room, above the skies of the former Nuit family house. 

All laser batteries from the carriers activated, weather it was over kill or not didn't matter, all that did is that they did something, after activating, the night sky lit up, with a multitude of orange lasers, all directed at one carrier in particular, the scene was truly one of awe, if one was to look without contexts, all they would see is a carrier a few hundred meters in size, having laser beams going from one end of it to another, from 3 different directions as the other countries at the point surrounded the X carrier. The carrier looked like it was self detonating, and the light beams were escaping from within it through cracks, with that scene in mind, below the clear starry night sky, the carrier exploded into a bright red fireball, the fireball came crashing down onto the Nuit family house, one last bit of spite from the captain…
