Game Of Thrones: House Dustin

How the hell did it come to this?! - A young man is reincarnated in the Game of Thrones world as an only son to House Dustin in the North but there is always more to every story. This is a small side project that I thought about. This is strictly for fun so dont expect correct dates and all that stuff investigated. I will just write what I want. Can't guarantee stable updates. Again. It's for fun and I have another story for now. Don't even know if I will follow the canon or not. I didn't watch or read GOT except FF's so don't get angry if I make mistake. EDIT- This is strictly for fun. If you are a person who can not understand what’s written above and expect accuracy and whole background, save us both some time and don’t read it. Every review stating how unrealistic it is will be deleted. Go feed your ego elsewhere. Disclaimer: All publicly recognizable characters, settings, etc. are the property of their respective owners. Robert rebellion time 3

We managed to find Iron deposits close to the newly reclaimed parts of land near the hills and cliffs.

That is really something I needed and the smiths are already working in shifts around the clock producing the designs that I gave them of our soldiers new armor.

Each soldier will have the same equipment. I decided to make it unison.

Infantry: Gambeson, chain mail and big chessboard pattern of orange and black overcoat with a warm, yellow cape with furs underlay and fur collar that is easy to take off before battle. It's more to keep our soldiers warm and look awesome! Bascinet crusaders helmet with the cross slit on the right cheek.

For weapons we will go with spears, a bit bigger yellow heater shield reinforced with metal and our black axes with crown Coat of arms on them, one handed sword and a dagger.

This will be something that all our infantry soldiers will have.

Next archers. They will only have gambeson, chain mail armor and overcoat with my house colors and the same cape as infantry. For close protection swords. Barbute helmet with a T opening in the front and the cream of the crop Iron wood longbows with normal arrows. Two quivers with them at all times on the sides of their hips. We even made leather belts, thick socks, gloves and other gadgets for each branch of our army with embroidered small Dustin house Coat of arms. Need to make sure everything has our brand on it! Every occasion is good to brainwash them whenever I can to inspire unconditional loyalty.

Don't want to finish with a pointy end of a sword sticking out from my chest like the ex king did. Courtesy of the one and only golden boy Kingslayer.

Maybe we can get some Summer Isles bows but I wouldn't count on that, they don't sell it outside.

Now the fun part! Cavalry! My mom specializes in horse breading and riding. Not at the Dothraki level but close enough. Like my house words: Day and night, ready for war!

I will try to get as many good horses as I can for them. When I'm finished the Eyrie won't be the one with the best cavalry.

If I manage, then gambeson, chain mail and overcoat in my house black yellow chessboard pattern colors for the rider and the horse, with a yellow standard fur underlay cape with a fur collar for the rider and additional plate armour for each rider.

I know it's expensive but I'm able to afford it.

They won't be fast but will roll over everyone like a tank! Some plate armor for the horses at the front for protection against spears will help. Good horses are expensive!

Heater shield the zelda type reinforced with metal and our Coat of arm's axes with black crown. Long sword and wooden lance with an iron tip is a must for the first charge. Bascinet crusaders helmet with the cross slit on the right cheek to make it more sweet looking, and all the additional gadgets are ready for them!

Light cavalry is basically infantry on a gambeson and overcoat coated hoarse with the difference of using long swords. No chain mail for the horse here as they need speed.

We train scouts as well. No, they don't have my house colors. Everything for them is black and dark green or in snow environment they get standard for our soldiers but white color cape with a hood.

They have gambeson and leather armor, bow with one quiver, and I will have to check if I can make a retracting telescope later on, 2 short swords and a dagger or normal one or two handed sword with two daggers. For them it's more of their preference, it can be small axes or throwing knifes, I don't care, they are not there to fight.

The biggest difference for them is training. We use experienced hunters and trackers for that and I showed them some camouflage techniques from my world so they really are incredible.

I think that you can only kill one if you spot him early on when he's riding, but when he starts his thing then you can forget it.

Even my mother was impressed when she walked in the middle of them in the forest while on inspection and didn't know it until they stood up.

After that she taught the instructors how to make the horse lay down when spying or how to handle them easier.

Just to be sure that everything is identical I ordered some horse bags and for normal soldiers shoulder bags with their names and Our Coat of arms on them.

Like that they could put all the important stuff in it like weapon maintenance kit, first aid kits that I designed for my men until we have actual medics and the things they usually need on the road.

I meet with Lord Rodrik Harlaw. He came with one ship as did I after I warned him secretly about Reach ambush.

Noble word given means a lot, especially from an old house of the North as mine and now he owes me one.

He was unconvinced and hostile at the beginning after seeing me. Our men even drew swords at one time, but after I told him that I know about their rebellion plans he got serious and we started our one to one conversation.

Apparently Lord Greyjoy started plotting it right after they came back from the previous fiasco. Crazy man.

When I told him some of the things of what I knew he believed me.

That was exactly what the Greyjoy planned.

Our deal was simple. He will protect my ships near Iron Islands and sell us shipbuilder thralls and when the rebellion happens I will help him store his wealth and people for safety.

Curious why he agreed? I gave him my word and after the ambush information that he originally did not believe he owes me, other things is he suspects how much income I have on a monthly bases from all my endeavors and trust me enough, it's comparable to some high tier houses in Westeros, maybe even Lanisters after their mines got dry but... I started not long back and my business is still growing and I'm investing!

He asked me to do one more thing for him. Raid House Drumm of Old Wyk during the rebellion. Why them? The answer is simple. They are rich and old rivals to House Harlaw he won't even bother to push the Greyjoys away from their plans as they are all crazy. I can keep everything and everyone that I grab during the attack, he just wants them weakened.

Didn't the Drumm's have a Valyrian steel sword? Well it looks like Christmas will come early!

Unfortunately there are some problems with the other Houses on Old Wyk, but we will plan everything before the raid. For now he can just start to prepare for it by placing his people on the inside.

As per him trusting me and me trusting him, knowing about my 'dreams' he won't start anything and the deal is sweet for him as well.
