Igniting The Flames of Purpose

I walked down the sidewalk with Asura following close behind me. The people kept staring at us, but at this point I no longer cared. The only thing I cared about was finding the reason why Asura won't let me have space. I stopped walking and Asura stopped as well.

"Why..did you stop?" Asura asked and looked at me.

I turned around and kept my hands in my jacket pockets. I looked at her. "Why is it hard for you to understand I want some alone time?"

She tilted her head then blinked. "Did I do something wrong?"

I sighed then turned around. "No. You didn't, but I just wish to be alone for a bit."

"Why so you can brood and become more angst?" She asked then held my arm. "I walked all the way over here to meet you. I don't want to waste this opportunity."

"Well no one asked you to come here to see me." I replied, with a slightly annoyed tone.

I pulled my arm away from her then walked forward. "I just want some space. Too much has happened in a span of a few days and I need time to just think."

"Oh..okay." She said and watched me walk away.

I sighed and walked into a alleyway then leaned against the wall then felt my phone buzz. I took my phone out of my pocket then answered the video call. "You realize you can show yourself in the open right? No one is worried about a Cupid floating around."

"Yeah just floating around, but I only float around you." Kyu-Pit replied.

"Why? Because Shiro told you to? Out of all the people in this world, you randomly chose me? No there has to be a reason why you just floating around me, why you chose me. At first I didn't think too much about it, but now that I'm looking at it...No one else is playing this supposed Game of Lust. You'd think there would be games happening at every corner, so why are there no contestants? I'll tell you why, the Game of Lust was intending for one person to play against the whole world. Now tell me why did you two choose me?" I asked.

Kyu-Pit stayed silent. She just looked at me then spoke. "The Game of Lust was just a thing to make love a bit more fun, but it wasn't enough and didn't hold as much impact if people had the choice to play or not. Shiro got with the Goddesses and decided to make the ultimate Game of Lust. A game that combined previous mechanics from the Destiny Harem Era and the Current Era. A game that can only be played by one person. A game that never ends, but a game that you can end at any time. This Game is a strategy and a game of chance also."

"What do you mean mechanics from the Destiny Harem Era?" I asked.

"You have 10 Destiny Harem Women you can date. Gloria, Whitney, Akira, Chelsey, Krystal, Faith, Chloe, Naomi, Aubrie, and Ashley. Each girl has their own mechanic that you need to figure out. For example, Akira has a happiness mechanic. The happier she is the higher the chance she will fall for you. Chloe has the Amnesia mechanic but also a Hypersensitive mechanic. If her amnesia activates and you answer wrong her hypersensitivity will activate. If her hypersensitivity activates there is a chance her amnesia will also activate making her forget what she was upset about." Kyu-Pit started.

"That doesn't really explain anything." I said.

"I'm getting there. The eight Love Traits are also something that only happened in the Destiny Harem Era, but ended in the Esoria Era. Those traits no longer mattered and that's where Bond Percentage came through which was changed around to the Status mechanic in this game. The Love Traits are very important now and will require you to strategize how you upgrade those stats. The only mechanic taken out was the Rank System." She explained.

"What do you mean rank system?" I asked.

"There were four ranks: Boyhood, Manhood, Kinghood, and Godhood. Those only existed for Sex Demons that no longer exist. Luckily there are many ways of increasing the level of your Love and Personality Traits. One way is to simply talk to women and react. Another way is to do certain actions that will increase that level such as taking certain showers or baths, watching certain things or doing certain actions such as dancing or drawing." Kyu-Pit said.

"What's the point of this game?" I asked.

"The whole point is to do what other men couldn't. Have fun. Yeah there will be times where you must fight or kill, but this game is intended for you to have fun. Have sex, grow as a person. You don't even have to go after every woman, but if you want me you have to go after certain women." Kyu-Pit said.

I looked at the sky and Kyu-Pit appeared beside me. "Is there not a way out?"

"You can end this game at anytime. If you wish to end the game now, then so be it. End the game now. If you wish to continue then stop your bitching and get out there." Kyu-Pit smiled and looked at the sky. "Like Lustie says sometimes, make me proud, superstar. Besides...aren't you the same man who says he has nothing else to lose?"

"I have nothing else to lose, except those that I care about. At this stage of my life I have everything to win, but I don't know if I have the motivation to win it." I said.

Kyu-Pit looked at me. She landed on her feet then pulled me to her. I blushed, looking at her then she kissed my lips. I blushed even harder. She pulled back then let me go. I stumbled back.

"Wha-wha-what are you doing? Why did you.." I started then my Lover Finder beeped.

"You just received the Kiss of Love. Receiving that kiss from me will boost four random Love Traits to level 10 and boost your Magic Power Level by a random from 20 to 80. You can only receive it from me once. Luckily for you the four Love Traits that leveled up are the most important to the women you are after. Does that motivate you?" She asked.

"I mean...yeah it did motivate me. I'm just in shock." I said then looked away embarrassed then heard a scream. "Hm?"

"What's wron-"

"Shhh!" I said then closed my eyes, hearing the scream again. "It's Asura!"

I ran off and Kyu-Pit turned invisible then followed me. I followed the sounds then looked around. I went to the park and saw Auguste then grunted. I glared at him. Asura looked at me.

"Leon!" Asura cried out.

Auguste looked at me then smirked. "Ahh it's you again. If it isn't the murderer. Fortunately you aren't my target so just get out of here while I deal with this one here."

I summoned my sword then dashed to Auguste without hesitation. He stood up and threw Asura at me. I caught her then Auguste appeared behind me and thrusted his sword at my back. My flames blocked his attack then I kicked him away. I dashed to him and jumped up then slashed downwards. He blocked my attack then grabbed my ankle then slammed my back against the ground. I grunted and he tried to stab my neck. I caught his arm and struggled to push the sword away from my neck.

"Why are you trying to hard to save her? She's a villain. You killed her once and now you're protecting her? She took over you, used you. Who's to say she won't do it again?!" Auguste smirked as he pressed the blade against my neck.

I pressed a fireball against his face and it exploded, blowing him away. I stood up and my eyes shined orange. "She isn't what she used to be. Yeah she used me before, and yeah I'm still pressed over it, but that doesn't mean you have the right to kill her!"

"Leon.." Asura looked at me. "What are you talking about? I never used you...I don't understand."

"Don't worry about it." I said then blocked the attack from Auguste then punched his stomach and he groaned then stumbled back.

"Nngh...he's stronger than before.." Auguste coughed.

I grabbed his face then slammed him against the ground then raised my sword to end his life. I looked at him then grit my teeth then stabbed my sword into the ground next to his head then my sword vanished.

"He didn't kill him.."

"Yeah...I thought be would've killed him."

"Why did you spare me? You had enough time to kill me.." Auguste looked up at me.

"Killing isn't who I truly am. Plus.." I stepped on his stomach. "You aren't even worth the bloodshed. Now listen closely, scum. Never come near me or my friends again. Stay away from them all, better yet if I even catch you trying something...I won't hesitate to dirty my blade with your blood on it."

Florence was in the crowd watching then noticed the ending scene. She smiled and noticed me getting my foot off Auguste. He stood up and scoffed then walked away.

I walked to Asura and she looked a bit sad. I held her arms and tried to cheer her up. She looked at me then gave a slightly smile.
