Chapter 16: A Decision to Make.

After having a proper discussion with Victor and Thea... I'm torn with a decision to make right now... Because, they speak about Mystic Nature Gem and it sounded like it was the best thing for us to get. Not only that it would give me the best Gem to make a weapon, but also the best gem to upgrade my ship too.

"System, gives me information regarding Mystic Nature Gem."

[Mystic Nature Gem is one of the few gems that can be stated as one of the best conduit of energy in the entire Galaxy. Being one of the best conduit for energy means that Mystic Nature Gem is a very good material to create equipment and engines due to how well it creates and send those energy. Even a small Mystic Nature Gem, can fuel a small ship due to how good they are. Mystic Nature Gem can be found in any mine, but are quite rare to find due to how hard for the Mystic Nature Gem to be made. There are way to create Mystic Nature Gem, but that information is currently unavailable with the level of ships right now.]

The system explained to me like that.

Upon reading it, I can see why Victor and Thea hype the gem up so much, because it seems like it is indeed better than Dark Abyss Gem. But, that's why I need to make a decision right now...

"Do I look for the Mystic Nature Gem immediately and risk not having the capability of integrating such thing and waste my time... Or keep on looking for Dark Abyss Gem and utilize it?" That's the dilemma I'm facing...

Right now, we're heading to a Trade Ship where Dark Abyss Gem can be found. A ship where Victor and Thea are familiar with because they often went there to search for materials... There are potential of encountering such rare materials, as stated by Victor. But, I am just not sure if we are able to get it and utilize it properly...

"Hmmm... This is quite the pickle..." I muttered to myself, before I get interrupted by a knock on my door.

*knock knock* "Captain, this is Victor. I'm here to inform you that we are entering a red zone controlled by a space pirate."

Hearing Victor say that, I went out and then meet him outside. "It's alright. Continue with the journey. I'll prepare some weaponry in case they detected us."

"Understood. Thea is keeping an eye out right now and ready to cut them if they get too close."

Damn, Thea is ready to fight already? She's really feisty. But, that's good. It guarantees our safety with the Vice Captain of Mother Nihility spearhead ready. But, we cannot reveal our weapon immediately like this...

"Tell Thea to stand down and utilize the cannon in the ship. We cannot let anyone knows that we are actually strong. Let them come to us if they do managed to detect us through the Advance Stealth System."

"Okay. I'll tell Thea and prepare the laser immediately."

Victor went back to the cockpit and I immediately go toward the Armory.

"Well, if they do managed to see through my Stealth System... Then I'll just blast them with a brand new weapon then." I muttered with excitement as I grab a clothed Laser Launcher...

I pull on the tie that's keeping the cloth on the Launcher and then revealed a slick and lengthy with Dark Abyss Gem in the middle, going through the entire length of the Laser Launcher. On top of the Laser Launcher is an advanced Optic that is perfectly lined with the energy that's going to be launched...

"What should I call you? You know what, I'll make your name as simple as I could. Dark Ray, that's what I will call you. Once I upgrade you once again, then I will give you a proper name. For now, that's what I will be calling you." I decided to name my Laser Launcher as Dark Ray because I can't really find a proper name for it just yet.

Once I upgrade it to Mystic Nature Gem, then I will be calling it different name...

I put Dark Ray on my shoulder and then grab a greatsword and a broadsword that was used by Victor and Thea and then bring it to the cockpit...

"Here's your weapon if they managed to get into the ship. We never know what might happen right?"

"Ah, thanks for taking it for us."

Both of them immediately put their weapon where they belong... We then sat on the cockpit and then look at the mothership of the Space Pirates...

I don't know which space pirates it is because it's the first time I went around this area...

"This Space Pirates Legion is called the Deep Scavenger. They are one of the most dangerous Pirates around because they utilize an advance weaponry and also autonomous drone to launch an attack from afar. They also are an organized Space Pirates with an overlord continuously reaching out to every one of the ship and making sure that everyone communicate with each other properly. The Overlord of the Ship, is rumored to be a former Commander of a Legion in an Interstellar Ark, hence why these lot are feared..." Victor explained the situation we're in right now.

Based on that information, we're definitely in danger. If our opponent really are that optimized to become a pirate. Then some scuffle is going to happen soon...

"Are you confident that you can take them on if they circle us?" I asked the two.

Then immediately, Victor and Thea smiled. "Naturally. Fighting a legion of pirates is something we're doing every time we went out here..."

Alright then. I guess I found what we're going to do.

"Gaidos. Turn on all the engines. We're making a ruckus by going really fast."

"Understood. Turning on all the engines and putting it on maximum speed."

"Wait, Captain... You're really going to create a ruckus? Isn't the point of a Stealth Ship is to go safely?" Asked Thea, raising a good point that makes me couldn't help but smile.

"Well, I would like to test out my new weapon, you know?"

A decision has been made and it was to create chaos in a space pirate area. Not the best of decision, but definitely something that I am confident that we would came on top.

As soon as we speed up, a few spaceships immediately turn their engines and immediately chased after us.

"Okay, it's time to rumble, I guess." Victor awkwardly pull his sword and we all go toward the entrance...

"Gaidos, turn off the Normal Engine and slow down the Dark Abyss Gem Engine. We're baiting them in."

"Understood. I also aimed the cannon toward the chaser. I will be waiting order to shoot, Captain."

"Shoot when I tell you to shoot. For now... Let us handle it manually."

I didn't do this needlessly of course. I also want to see how well I can work together with Victor and Thea... If we can work flawlessly and cover each other weak point, then we're set for a long journey.
