Frost's Greed (Marvel)

Everyone follows Xavier, the idealist. Everyone worships Magneto, the extremist. None dare to disrespect Apocalypse, the militarist. But what about the final of the big 4. The one who has lost their students at every turn. The one that walks down the darkest path and is unwilling to put their faith in none outside of their circle of trust. The one that cares not about how humans view mutants nor about the infighting of others. Whose only true care is for the students. This is not a story about her but about a student of hers that believes in her ideas and teachings. Not about peaceful coexistence or mutant supremacy or survival of the fittest. To strive for a brighter tomorrow, even if they have to make it through the blackest night. This is the story of one boy following learning how to be a mutant in a world that hates him under the teachings of the White Queen. He will go from an inexperienced kid to one of the most important mutants in the world ------------ I'm guaranteeing this story for a year, averaging a chapter per day (major holidays may get no chapter or more chapters.) This means that this will be my longest and most secure story, and hopefully the best, on the site. *Warnings! Warnings! Warnings!* - This takes place in an AU of Marvel. So while most things will remain similar to what most people are familiar with, there will be some changes (Some characters being mutants or mutates, etc) - He will start off weak power-wise. He will become very powerful eventually but not for now. He must earn the crowd's favor. - This will be a harem.

Issue #5

Jack sliced through a beam of pink energy as he gasped for breath. He looked around and saw that there was only half of the original Ul'irs remaining.

"*heavy breathing* I haven't been this worn out since that night I spent with your mother. You really take after her," Jack taunted his opponent once again

"My mother was killed by Belasco over 150 years ago. By human standards, you look no older than 20 years. How is that possible? Ul'ir questioned

And just like all of his other insults and taunts, it went right over the demon's head. Jack shook his head.

'I'm wasting such good material on him. I should hurry up and kill him before I use up the rest of my one-liners.'

The smile on his face disappeared as Jack got serious. Jack's wings emerged from his back and he took towards the air.

Over a dozen beams of energy were shot at him but Jack was able to fly through them without much issue. Using his [Flash Precognition] Jack was able to see the future for 5 seconds. Within those 5 seconds, he may as well have had the eyes of a god.

As Jack flew through the beams, he cut down several more Ul'ir clones/illusions but no matter how many he cut, he was unable to find the true body.

"That's enough, boy. Let's end this."

All of the 'corpses' of Ul'ir raised from the ground and started floating in the air. The injuries that they had all sustained had disappeared without a trace. All of them raised their black staffs as clouds began to appear overhead. Purple lightning began to gather as the thunder roared.

Jack saw that his efforts over the past two hours had gone to waste and that the sky was darkening but did not think too much about it. No matter what Ul'ir did, the end result would be his death that day.

'Let's unleash my power and see what I can do.'

Jack started pulling the [Dark Ice] from within himself. He didn't summon it as ice though. He kept it as raw energy. A black miasma encased his body. It started out as just seeming out of his skin and covering it like a second layer but soon formed a large sphere around his body.

'What is that? It is absorbing all the light? Truly fascinating. Too bad I won't be able to dissect you anymore.'

All of Ul'ir's clones combined into a single body that was standing near the edge of the courtyard. As much as he wanted to act like this battle had not drained him, that would have been a lie.

To use such a level of clones and transferring his soul between each one was very draining. Also having them all cast the same spells as his main body added to that stress. If not for him pulling mana from the core of his castle to reinforce himself, he would have died long before.

Using the remaining power in the castle, Ul'ir cast his final and most powerful spell. This is what he was saving as his trump card to kill S'ym, the demon that was most likely to take over Limbo of the 4 inheritors.

"Rednuht elp..." before Ul'ir could finish his spell, Jack's own power erupted

The cold energy exploded outward and covered the entire courtyard before the castle. The interior of the castle was soon covered with miasma. Ul'ir that had let his guard down faced the full brunt of it and was frozen solid before anything else.

When the miasma disappeared, the entire castle was covered in ice and absorbed all the light that approached. This truly made for an eerie sight for anyone that saw this from afar. And Jack was flying in the center of it all.

"*heavy breathing* Damn! That really took a lot out of me," Jack exclaimed while he looked at the work he accomplished

Jack was about to rest when he saw that Ul'ir was still in one piece even though he was frozen. Flying over, Jack stabbed into his chest and ripped off his head. Once he was in the Dark Zone, he was sure that he killed his target.

Jack looked through the various abilities and skills that were available but there were only two that caught his interest.

[

- Demon Magic (Master): The user's skill with using demonic spells has nearly reached the peak and they are within the 100 strongest users of them

- Demonic Magical Potential (SSC): The user possesses such a large and potent amount of latent magical energy in their body that they have a chance to become Sorcerer Supreme

]

Jack was impressed by both of these skills and couldn't decide which one he wanted. One would allow him to have an impressive magical reserve while the other would provide him with a source of infinite knowledge.

After thinking about it carefully, Jack chose the potential. Since he was inside of Ul'ir's castle, he could go through the demon's resources and increase his skill level of [Demonic Magic] through natural means.

What Jack did not know was that of the 4 successors to Belasco, Ul'ir had the weakest magical potential. The other 3 were all SS level while he was only SSC. The only reason he was able to match them was due to his impressive knowledge when it came to Demon Magic.

After the orb entered his body, Jack felt warmth over his entire body. It felt comfortable. But after a few moments, the heat became unbearable. Jack fell to the ground as he grasped his chest.

'Shit! This happened right after you got the [Magical Potential]. It must be something with it. I can't spit it back out but I need to survive this!'

[Demonic Magical Potential] was very different than normal [Magical Potential]. The demonic variant was more powerful yet violent so it needed a demon's body and soul to control it.

Jack thought through the various things he could do but there was only a single answer to him. [Fusion]. He had to turn the ability that was incompatible with him into a power that was natural to him.

Jack tried to combine [Demonic Magical Potential] with [The Hellforged Beast] but the success rate was 0%. He then tried to fuse it with his other abilities by themselves but the final result was too unstable and the success rate remained 0%.

'Shit! Combine [Telepathy], [The Hellforged Beast], [Dark Ice], and [Demonic Magical Potential]!'

Just as Jack was expecting another failure, he got a different notification.

[

Fusion of (X-Gene) Telepathy (Level 3), (Fusion) (Mutate) The Hellforged Beast, (Fusion) (Mutate/X-Gene Hybrid) Dark Ice, and Demonic Magical Potential = (Fusion) (Magical/Mutate/X-Gene Hybrid) Spirit Of Black Frost

Chance of Success 100%
