The sky was fiery red, the charred ground as dark as coal. Every so often, an explosion would happen. Blowing dust and oftentimes mutilated corpses into the air. After a particularly heavy barrage of fire, a nauseating gas with a deep green hue would be released. Merciless slaughtering anyone not prepared, and those that survive would be forced to see their brothers in arms die. As the green grasp of death itself begins to recede, a horrifically scarred body of a man is revealed. With a quiet voice, he asked " Why god? Why have you forsaken me as such? Have I and my brothers not bled enough for you? Or have you forsaken us after all this time? After all of our failures?". The only answer he received was the sound of artillery and gunfire passing him.
After a short while, the sliver of life which he still had begun to escape his body. Second, by the second he walked closer to the omnipresent and encompassing presence of death until finally, he was right in front of it. " Finally, I can be reunited with them." He mutters before falling into the sweet embrace of death.
A sudden flash of light drew the soldier's attention as he suddenly found himself on the white floor of an office or rather what he thought was an office. Sitting behind a desk sat an imposing man. Staring down at with neither anger nor satisfaction, merely looking down at him with clear disinterest."This will be the last and only chance you shall get, understand? " Behind the desk said. Before the soldier could even mutter a word he was tossed into the eternal abyss.
