Chapter 13: New Blood for the Luna Pirates

The sun hung low on the horizon, casting a golden hue across the sea. The wind whispered through the sails, and the Luna Pirates continued their voyage toward new horizons. With Kid now on-board, the crew was stronger, but Thorfinn knew they needed more—more skilled fighters, more specialists—to take on the challenges that awaited them.

"We need a sniper," Thorfinn said one evening, his eyes scanning the vast, empty sea. "Someone who can hit targets from a distance, provide cover when things get messy."

Enel, standing beside him, crossed his arms. "I've heard rumors of two snipers—Rock and Scotch. They're known for their accuracy, but they're also infamous for their reckless behaviour. They don't exactly play by the rules."

Thorfinn grinned. "That's just the kind of people we need."

The Luna Pirates sailed for days in search of the two snipers, and eventually, they found themselves in a small port town. It was a bustling, chaotic place where pirates and bounty hunters gathered to sell stolen goods, make deals, and plan their next moves. Thorfinn had a hunch that Rock and Scotch were somewhere in this town.

As they docked, Thorfinn turned to Rasa. "You know the lay of the land. Lead the way."

Rasa nodded, her sharp eyes scanning the streets. "I've heard the two of them frequent a tavern near the edge of town. Follow me."

When they entered the tavern, the atmosphere was thick with tension. The patrons, a mix of sailors and criminals, eyed the newcomers warily. At the back, two figures stood out: a tall, lean man with a long rifle slung over his shoulder and a shorter, stockier man with a crossbow. Their eyes locked onto Thorfinn's crew as they walked in.

"That's them," Rasa whispered, nodding toward the two snipers.

Rock, the tall one, stood up first, his rifle resting on his shoulder like a walking stick. His piercing gaze swept over the crew, sizing them up. "So, you're the ones looking for us," he said in a voice as cold as the sea. "What makes you think we'd join you?"

Scotch, the smaller man, leaned back in his chair, his crossbow resting across his lap. "We've got our own crew, kid. We don't need anyone else." His voice was gruff, but his eyes showed a glimmer of interest.

Thorfinn stepped forward, his gaze unwavering. "We don't want to control you. We just want your skills. The Luna Pirates are building something new, something better. And we need the best snipers to make it happen."

Rock raised an eyebrow. "The Luna Pirates, huh? Sounds like a bunch of kids playing at being pirates."

"We're not kids," Thorfinn replied, his voice hard as steel. "We're a force that's going to change this world. And if you join us, you'll have a chance to be part of something bigger."

Scotch snorted. "Sounds like a lot of talk to me. You want us to follow some wet-behind-the-ears kid?"

Thorfinn didn't flinch. "Come at me then. Show me what you've got. If you can beat me, you can walk away
