Chapter 43: Drawing Straws

“So, you plan to sail the Spindrift toward the Hercules, keep going southwest, reach Aquarius Island, turn right which according to the map is north, and then what…look for a rose bush?” Barlow asked, face twisted in skepticism.

Seeley, Asher, Mandi, Orlando, and Barlow stood huddled around a massive map of Tucunia.

“Well, the rose bush probably stands for something. We know that roses aren’t a native flower of Tucunia, and these uninhabited islands are unlikely to have a rose garden on them,” Seeley explained, pointing a finger to a huge area on the map where they think the Charm of Tucunia sank.

The only problem was that they didn’t know how long they had to go after Aquarius Island to find the wreck. They tried to match her grandmother’s intricate topographical map to the less detailed dive map they had of Tucunia, but the space was too vast.

It was clear that the last piece of the puzzle, the one that Dr. Monroe had to have, showed them the general area of where to go.
