CHAPTER FOURTEEN

After exchanging contacts,Xiang Ke handed Li Yanshu a paper colored gold. At first,she thought it was a wedding invitation but it wasn't.

It was an invitation to the school reunion party and Li Yanshu was invited.

The City D schools hardly organized a reunion party and when they did,they did it based on invitations and only well-known people who left a trail of memories in their school are invited.

People like Li Yanshu,Xiang Ke and others.

"You're invited to City D school reunion party. All of the people we know are going to be there, it's going to be fun. Will you go?".

Li Yanshu demurred for a bit before nodding"I will".

"I'll give u a call and tell you the address. The reunion is taking place on the saturday weekend,if you need to go shopping, I'm your guy, i'll take you to where all the famous brands are and am sure you'll love them".

Li Cola was getting bored and impatient and Li Yanshu could feel it,she agreed to Xiang Ke suggestion and left.

The security guard didn't stop to question her,thanks to her brief explanation when coming out.

When they reached home,Li Yanshu dropped Li Cola down and began cooking.

Soon she finished her prawn dumplings,the flour and few ingredients still remained so she kept them in the spaces she could find and easily remember.

Just as she finished cooking,Li Cherry and Mu Ze walked in obviously in a happy mood. Li Cherry had a new look on her face,her pretty and long hair was cut short into a bob reaching above her shoulders.

She had wanted the princess doll type of hairstyle but reaching the salon,she saw different kind of cute hairstyles and this one caught her sight.

Li Yanshu kind of missed her daughter's long hair which was silky and soft between her fingers but now the hair is so short that she won't be able to stroke the hair and feel nice.

It was such a pity...

Li Cherry rushed to her mother's side"Mama,is it pretty?"she said cutely, bringing out her two dimples.

It was such a gift that both twin has dimples on each cheeks,it was very beautiful keeping one in daze when the children smile.

Li Cola has such a dimple that makes one mesmerized mainly because of he hardly smiles,so when he smiles sincerely,the dimples makes him more handsome.

The doll in Li Cherry hand was suddenly snatched away by Li Cola"Why is your hairstyle so different from this doll's?".

Li Cherry eyes got watery real quick,she wanted her doll back in her arms where it belongs. Brother Hua gave her the doll and it was one of a kind,she doesn't want anybody to touch it apart from her.

"It's none of your business,gimme my doll"the bickering and quarreling of the twin went on for about ten minutes in which Mu Ze pulled Li Yanshu aside to speak to her.

"What's wrong?"Mu Ze turned to make sure that Li Cola and Li Cherry were coming over,he doesn't want Li Cola to find out what he was about to say.

When he was sure that the twins won't stop hanging on each other neck any moment from now,he began to speak"Shushu,I met with Mu Zhen and Wei Ye in the salon".

Li Yanshu had an indifferent look on her face,she doesn't really care about them"So?"

"He invited us over to his home inviting us for Wei Ye birthday,as the heir of the Mu family,he made it compulsory which means that..."he didn't finish speaking,Li Yanshu then completed the statement"Each men of the family or women have to come with their various spouses"Mu Ze nodded.

How wouldn't Li Yanshu know about it,she was married to Mu Zhen once which means she knows almost all the rituals of the family.

Apart from the Old Lady of the family,Mu Zhen controls everybody else as he's the first son and child of the family.

"Do you want to go?..."Mu Ze asked scratching his nape,he then spoke up again"If you don't want to go,i could find some excuse...".

"I'll go,the birthday is taking place tommorow right?"Li Yanshu asked and Mu Ze nodded.

"Alright, I'll go"Mu Ze was happy and nervous at the same time,he was afraid that Li Yanshu would be bullied by the women of the higher-ups or even be shamed or worst,get harassed by his cousin,Mu Zhen.

After speaking,the twins still weren't done with their petty argument. Li Yanshu placated both of them and urged them to eat.

The whole family sat down to eat while Li Cherry talks about her adventure to the salon. She even mentioned the appearance of a really handsome uncle which Li Yanshu knows as Mu Zhen.

Li Cola, not wanting to feel left out also talked about his own. Although what he mostly did was play chess with his mother, follow his mother to the supermarket and stay with her while cooking, it still got Li Cherry jealous.

Afterall,she thought of Mu Ze as a uncle and nothing more or less making the bond of the heart between mother and daughter strong. Of course,she also wants to be the one going on those adventures with her mother.

She sent her mother a puppy dog eyes,Li Yanshu then said"Next time when I'm going, you'll come along,okay?".

Li Cherry nodded eagerly and talked to her doll while eating.

Soon, everybody retired to their rooms except for Li Yanshu who tidied up the kitchen,she then took out her phone that she hadn't used since she came to this city.

She typed in a number she memorized by heart,the phone rang for a few minutes then disconnected,she called again but it was still the same.

Maybe the person had changed to another network or the person doesn't answer numbers he doesn't recognize. That was her thinking until he called again,Li Yanshu picked up the call.

"Hello?".

"This is Li Yanshu,am i speaking with Ya Shi?"

Not even a moment of recognition from him,he started speaking"Shushu,you still remember my number,oh,am so glad to have kept the network. I thought that you'd have forgotten about me. Do you need anything although i don't know how i could be of any help".

Li Yanshu allowed him to finish speaking"Tommorow is Wei Ye birthday,were you invited?".

"No,i wasn't and i don't care. I don't even care if it's her death day"He said bitterly,he thought back to five years ago and even uptil now. How she played him and Li Yanshu.

"I was invited and i planned to go. I was hoping if you'll take care of my kids while i was away".

"You are going! but she ruined your life and is probably with your ex husband yet you still want to celebrate her. Is this really Li Yanshu or a counterfeit?"
