13. TELL YOU LATER

But it's different in Ashley's case. He already spilled the beans when Lila was not around. If there was nothing, he would not have bothered to explain it to me.

'Besides, he already knows one of my secrets. So, it wouldn't hurt for him to tell me his secret too, would it?' I imagined myself pouting at him

But, if I put in more thoughts to this, he is too obvious about her.

Lila is the one who is more perplexed about him.

Then this cannot be considered as a secret. I would rather want to know what happened during the Interschool fall festival.

Let me first test him lest I get embarrassed if he refuses to answer me.

"I will forgive you if you tell me what is happening between you and Lila!" [Tiara]

He looked at me for a second and his ears flushed.

I wondered if it was too much for me to ask when I saw him looking at the tap water and my hand which was being clenched by him.

He released my hand and pulled a chair for me to sit down.

"Let's speak about this another time. I can't say it in Lila's presence"

Wooah! That was quite shocking for me to hear such words from him. He is not the type to reveal mysteries about his life.

He wrapped an ice cube under a small piece of cloth. He gave it to me and looked towards the door of the guest room.

I put it on my fingers. Maybe he feels comfortable to tell me since he knows about my secret.

'Hah! I don't know anymore. Then let me just wait a bit longer.'

'But why is it taking so long for Lila to bring the first aid kit? I am sure that it must be under the bed. What is she doing in there!'

At the same time, Ashley muttered.

"What is taking her so long?"

"Let me go and check her out!" [Tiara]

Ashley blocked my way using his arm when I was about to stand up.

"I will go and check up on her. You just sit down and wait here" [Ashley]

I hesitated for a moment to send him in and then nodded my head in agreement.

Having said that Ashley went inside the room. I heard a light sound of thud a minute or so, after Ashley entered.

I wanted to go and look if something happened. But the sound was not so high. I might have misheard it.

If there was a fall or anything like that, the sound would have definitely been clearer in this silent atmosphere.

Lila came out of the room with the first aid kit after a while.

Her face completely as red as tomato and Ashley came out later. His cheeks and ears were as pink as a sliced strawberry.

'Great! Now it is more obvious that something happened and what I heard was no coincidence'

I was about to ask Lila what took her so long. But I felt awkward to ask them when I looked at their faces. 'It looks like I made a mistake by allowing him to go. Is Lila upset about me now?'

However, she didn't look angry or upset. I guess it must be fine. I will ask Ashley later.
