You have been cheated

"Who dares?" Xu Cyan asked with a frown on his face. It was clear that he was extremely upset by Xiao Lei's sudden entrance.

"Don't be so angry, Xu Cyan. It's not good for your health." Xiao Lei sneered mockingly as he entered the hall with slow steps.

Everyone was intrigued by him and was waiting to hear more with eager eyes. They were all curious as to why the president of such a big company would try to ruin the company of Xu Cyan.

"Pff." Chen Mei sighed as she rolled her eyes, seeing Xiao Lei.

"Why the hell is he here anyway??" She mumbled with an annoyed tone.

"You said something?" Shui Mian asked as she glanced towards Mei.

"No, no. Nothing." Chen Mei smiled brightly and pretended like she never said anything while shaking her head.

Xiao Lei's gaze fell at the corner of the room. He sneered, seeing Mei looking at him as well. Their eyes met each other. Both of them were staring at each other intensely until Xu Cyan stepped in front of Xiao Lei and patted his shoulder.

"You better fix this before things go wrong between us, President Xiao." The man whispered with a low voice, keeping his smile on his face.

Lei chuckled and rolled his gaze towards the male standing beside him. He shoved off his hand and walked past him, heading towards the mike.

"May I?" He asked the man standing with the mike in his hands.

"I... sure." The man hesitantly handed over the mike. He was extremely anxious.

"Ladies and gentlemen, I am Xiao Lei, president of the XIAOZ company. I have an announcement for you all. You have been cheated!" Lei spoke with a firm tone, shocking everyone in the hall.

"What is he saying?"

"How's that even possible?!"

"The Sweet Love company would cheat their clients??"

"But we never heard of it!"

Everyone started to whisper and murmured among themselves until an old lady stood up from her table and glared at Xiao Lei.

"And why should we believe you, sir?" She asked with a frown on her face.

Lei chuckled and glanced at Kai who nodded his head and hurried outside.

"Wait a second, ma'am. The evidence is coming in a minute." Lei looked at his watch with a bright smile on his face.

-Lei's flashback-

Xiao Lei has ordered a few workers to do some research on his rival company to know what they were up to. He received an email this morning about it. He smiled and he opened it.

"Oh, my." Lei's frown face turned bright yet along with an evil smile.

The mail on his laptop indicated that Sweet Love has been in lack of ideas so they decided to buy a product from a small shop that isn't too popular. They would just pay them a little amount compared to the sum they plan to sell the jewelry.

A link was attached in the same email. Xiao Lei clicked on it and his eyes widen.

"What the hell is this?..." Lei mumbled in shock that he just saw. He averted his eyes from the screen as if it was something that was harming them.

"It belongs to Chen Mei? That woman?" He repeated over and over until an idea crossed his mind.

Just then, Kai knocked on the door.

"Sir." He opened the door and entered the room.

Lei quickly started typing on his computer as Kai entered the room.

"Speak." He said without glancing at his assistant.

-End of Lei's flashback-

"Sir, I bought him." Kai pushed a man on the stage.

The man was wearing a blue shirt along with jeans pants. His brown hair was a little messy. From his expression, anyone could tell that he still had trouble catching what was going on.

"What am I doing here?.." Zach scratches the back of his head looking at the people who were staring at him. "Who are you all?" He looked around at all the unknown people that were surrounding him.

"Zach Felz. Come here and tell us about this necklace right here." Xiao Lei spoke with a commanding tone that made Zach shiver for some unknown reason.

The man nodded and took the mike from Lei's hand. He coughed softly, to clear his throat before speaking.

"Ahem. So... this necklace was made for someone who never came to get it. It was a man that ordered it for a woman. He never mentioned his name just his surname, Rui. We waited for him for the past four years but he never came to get it. So I decided to sell it to this man who wanted to buy it at a higher price than this," Zach explained.

Everyone glared at Xu Cyan who wanted to pretend that he was the creator of this amazing jewelry when he only bought the imagination of a man that wanted to gift it to someone precious to him.

"Shame on you, Xu Cyan!" The old woman who stood up to defend him was ashamed of herself for trying to defend such a low life.

"We trusted you! How could you cheat us like this??"

"Thank God Xiao Lei came in time or we might have bought what doesn't belong to someone else."

Mei shivered as she heard the name "Rui". Her heartbeat started to increase and she stood up from her chair with eyes filled with tears. She blinked quickly to not let them escape and started walking towards the stage like a zombie without life.

"R-Rui?" She asked Zach who was still holding the mike in his hands.

"Yeah. But he put the name 'Chen Mei' as the buyer."

"Rui," Mei repeated as a teardrop escaped her right eye and she quickly wiped it off.

"Chen Mei?" Xiao Lei asked as he stepped closer to her. "Do you know this Rui guy?" He asked raising an eyebrow.

Mei didn't say anything and hurried towards the necklace that was in the dark box and was shining on its own. Her trembling hands caressed it carefully as if it would break if she touched it with too much pressure.

"Rui. Why were you always like this? You idiot!" She mumbled but people could still hear her since she had no control over her trembling voice. A few of her tears flew down her pink cheeks, unable to hold them back any longer.

"There was a ring with R&M on top and always inside." Zach bent down and looked at the crying woman in the eyes.

"..." Mei couldn't utter a word until a memory came across her mind, giving her shivers.
