Brutal kill

As time was passing Jin was becoming nervous.

He was sitting in the darkness lean on the wall and holding the threads with his hands.

He felt dizzy from time to time because he was exhausted and sleepy.

If not for his will to survive and the adrenaline, he would fell asleep long ago.

' Fuck! I can barely stay awake!' Jin thought this while constantly lifting his head and fighting to stay awake.' No, I can not fall asleep. I can not afford that!'

He then touched his watch. His watch turned on, and the light came from it.

Even though the light was not so bright but still, in the darkness, it was pretty noticeable.

Jin had a little more than twelve hours left to find and kill one person from the nine hundred eighty-nine that were alive.

Then he heard fast steps that were approaching him.

He immediately turned off his watch so that he could hide in the darkness.

" Keekeke! It's pointless. I already know that you are here! Don't hide!"

Jin's blood froze. Only by his voice could it be said that this was a madman.

The quick steps were becoming slowlier, until one moment when they stopped.

" Huh? A grenade with thread, not bad, Too bad you gave me your position. Otherwise, this could have killed me! Keeekekee!"

Jin didn't waste time.

He left everything and started running.

The madman started running too.

When Jin passed by where his second trap was, he took a smoke grenade, pulled the pull ring, and dropped it on the ground.

He did not stop running until he reached the next corner where he hid.

The madman was right behind him, but when the smoke grenade exploded, the madman stepped back.

" Stop hiding and come out!" The madman screamed in anger, and his words echoed everywhere in the maze.

Jin didn't answer.' Luckily I didn't drop the thread of the second grenade.'

Then he made a fast footsteps sound. Like someone was running.

Although the madman sounded smart, he was stupid.

Stupid enough to fall on Jin's trap.

He didn't wait for the smoke to disappear because he thought that his prey was running.

Without thinking twice, he jumped into smoke.

For Jin's luck, the madman hit the grenade with his leg, and that was a sign for Jin to pull the thread.

Jin pulled the thread and with it the pull ring of the grenade.

" Boom!" The grenade exploded.

The force of the explosion was so large that rocks were flying like bullets.

Jin was blown away by the power of the explosion.

As he was trying to get up and come to his senses, he heard.

" Ding!" His smartwatch turned on.

The watch gave enough light for Jin to see the terrible scene.

The blood was everywhere and pieces of the body from that madman.

The hand of that man was stuck in the half-ruined wall by the power of the explosion.

The most horrible thing was the piece of the head in front of Jin.

He immediately turned his head on the other side because he was disgusted by the view.

Although it was still ringing in his ears from the explosion, he heard the voice of Chronos coming from his smartwatch.

" Congratulations, player Jin Takumu you have made your first kill. I didn't expect that you were so brutal. You surprised me. As a reward, from now on, you can use your smartwatch with your voice. Continue like that."

The moment Chronos finished speaking, the watch turned off.

" Turn on!" Jin said, and the watch turned on.

With the light from the watch, he was looking for his resources.

The gun and rifle from the madman were unusable because they were damaged, so Jin continued where he placed his bag and grenade.

On the way, he took the water and food from where he was previously sitting.

Then, he took the grenade and the rucksack from where the first trap was.

' They must have heard the grenade. I better move from here before someone comes.'

As he was leaving, he noticed a bag in the dark corner of the maze.

" Huh? That caveman got some brain after." Jin muttered while he bent down and picked up the rucksack.

Jin opened the rucksack.

Inside was two grenades, two smoke grenades, and three flash grenades.

There was also some rifle and gun ammo.

After Jin looted the rucksack of the madman and placed the helpful things in his bag, he left.

He was wandering through the maze for two hours he came across one room.

This room looked the same as the one he woke in, but this was not that room.

When Jin stepped into the room, he fainted from exhaustion and lack of sleep.
