My work isn't in the rankings, either seasonally or weekly or any $hit!😭😭 ——————————————————————————

Previously

His heart sunk as he realized the inevitable.

Because the only island/land that he can remember describes as such is—

The Isle of Delos

F*ck!

——————————————————————————

'Fuck this shit I'm out of here!'

...

..

Kidding but to be honest, he's not pleased with this situation.

T-this...This the worst. Forget about going to Athens —again— in order to board a ship to Delos and forget about how Apollo and Artemis are extremely protective of their birth place and their mother. I mean they massacred an a entire household for fuck sakes! And they didn't even spare the children's lives!

The person who insulted Apollo's birth mother was Niobe, queen of Thebes, who entered in the midst of the worship and insulted the goddess, claiming that having beauty, better parentage and more children than Leto—Apollo and Artemis divine mother— she was more fit to be worshipped than the goddess. Leto and her divine children were so insulted when they found out about this, that Apollo and Artemis took revenge, killing all fourteen of Niobe's children. Fourteen! that's not a small number at all.

And that's not all, oh no. If it was, then it would've been simple because according to the Prophecy he would've to give Apollo Three unique gifts. Because there's no other sun than Apollo...well there's Helios but he is 'retired' so is Selene, they retreated behind the scenes so to speak. Anyway he would've to 'give' three unique gifts to Apollo, what shall he give Him? Icarus is many things, being Intelligent is one of them but he can't think of anything to give a God a 'gift'.

Nonetheless, it's no use thinking about this. It's better for Apollo to request them from him so that he can know what kind of 'gift's' He wants. He can figure out how to get them from there.

Sigh. Life... ——————————————————————————

"You got everything?" A gruff voice resounded.

"Let me see. Uhm Maps check, rations check, weapons check, Money check...hmm yup. Everything's fine" An a androgynous like voice spoke, belonging to one Icarus of Athens.

Chiron, his divine teacher sighed wearily.

"Alright. Remember to be cautious alright? Don't attack thing's you don't understand and don't insult anyone you come across, okay?"

Icarus looked at his teacher with half lidded eyes feeling like he's a child before the mother hen known as Chiron. But he didn't say anything because he, too is nervous.

He sighed, already he can feel his emotions drain away —Is it because I sigh a lot? people always said sighing reduce your happiness and life— He just want to survive this whole afair then go to rest in Medea's waiting warm hug and sleep the rest of the day with her.

'We don't always get what we want don't we? Otherwise the world would've been a better place...or not.'

Just as Icarus is starting to day dream about Medea, he felt a tight grip on his shoulder. He looked up to see his teacher looking at him with worry, he sighed... again.

"I'll be alright, teacher. Just wait to hear the bards song's about my success or the people of Greece praising me."

"I'll wait for it then." Chiron smiled warmly at the young man infront of him. "Alright, it's time for you to go, Icarus."

"Yha, yha." Icarus said that annoyed. He picked up his survival bag and hung it around his shoulders in a way that it won't hinder his ability to fight or his hand to draw the sword from his waist.

He walked towards the mouth of the cave, seeing bright light blinding him for a moment. Just before he completely exited the cave, he stopped.

"Hey, teacher."

Chiron, who was just a few steps back heard him and he answered a little puzzled. "Hm?"

"Thank you for the knowledge and Wisdom you'd shared to me for the last few years."

"It's alright, repay me by staying alive."

"Alright, let's leave all to Fate."

"And Let the stars align our paths again." And with a two finger salute, Icarus was ready to face the demon's of this world and purge them.

After watching the back of Icarus disappeared out of the cave, Chiron snorted, feeling amused.

'You? talking about Fate and entrusting your life to it?' Chiron found that hilarious.

He spent years with the boy and one thing that made itself apparent was that Icarus doesn't like Fate or anything to do with it.

Another thing was, he despise praying to the God's. Why he doesn't like that is a mystery but by Mother Gaia he hopes the God's won't find out about this.

Though, even if they found out what would they do? They're already helpless infront of Icarus.

Chiron shook his head and laughed. ——————————————————————————

A Week later

Few days later, Icarus found himself in Athens port... again. But before stepping a foot here he had concealed his sword, if he didn't then it would've drawn unnecessary attention when it was the last thing he wants right now. As for his physical appearance? Icarus doesn't think there's any people in Athens that can remember him, he left this place at the tender age of Eight; Now he's fifteen. He has grown from the child they knew to the man he is now.

Even if they discovered him, what are they going to do? he's many times stronger than he was when he left this place without looking back. Icarus is confident he can crush the whole Athens if he want's to, Fortunately for them he doesn't— He ignored the fact that Athena may skin him alive if he destroyed her city—

Nonetheless, Icarus didn't come here looking for a fight.

As he was walking lost in thought past all the huge ships around the port, he almost collided with a fisherman. Well he thought he was a fisherman since he's stinking fish, he may be a merchant but Icarus doesn't care about that.

"Sorry, sir. Are you alright?" He asked the.. fisherman.

"Never been better! hahaha" The fisherman responded with a jovial laugh.

"U-Uhm.. alright. Anyway, can you point me the ships that will depart to Delos?" The reason why he talked with this stranger was to inquire about the ships to Delos without being suspicious. There's nothing suspicious about him but he's that cautious.

"Ah, you're new here?" The fisherman questioned. "That's none of my business. Anyway, it's easy to find them. They're branded with Lord Apollo's divine symbol."

With that the fisherman walked past him in a hurry.

Icarus looked at the fisherman retreating figure and thought. 'Well, that's odd.'

Regardless of that, it didn't take a while to find ships with a golden lyr branded on their sides. When he saw them, he knew that, that's them. He immediately boarded the ship, as he does he came across what he assumed to be the captain of this ship.

Seeing him, he sighed. "How much?"

The person before him held his hand to display five fingers at him.

"Five drachmas? Well.." Icarus fished them and gave the Captain without complain.

After that, the captain gestured him to enter.

As soon as he does so, a heavy sea smell bombarded him so hard that he felt his head starts to hurt. Icarus have been on the sea before, he knows the smell of the Sea but this? This is too much, it's almost unnatural. When the wave of dizziness have faded away, Icarus took a deep breath to stabilize himself.

As he does so, he felt like he had tasted something fishy — No pun intended— The unusual taste lingered for a few seconds before disappearing. 'Isn't this the... ' Icarus pondered deeply for a moment then grinned.

Oh, boy. The voyage won't be boring at all.

Icarus smirked before heading to his cabin. ——————————————————————————
