Bitter truth

Quinn P.O.V. 

                                      "I'm a spirit" he said. Oh my God... Oh my God... OH MY GOD!!! I've been crushing on a spirit which is not even possible. Crap! Quinn, what have you gotten yourself into? Just forget about him, please. I was motivating myself as I went through a ball room full of pairs of people. At the corner, near the window, he stood there with glowing skin. "Remi" I called out as I neared him. He dusted his shoulder and took my hand from my side. He placed it on his lips and kissed it. He held my hand in his, as he spoke to me, "My love," and my heart swelled with love for him.

                                    His eyes went behind me and within the second his eyes held fear in them. "Please save me, save us from her" he whispered. As he leaned in to hug me, some force pulled him away from me. But as I tried to withstand it, his skin started to burn and our hands were slipping from each other's grip. "No!!" I screamed as his hand slipped away from mine and Remi went flying to my opposite direction. I fell down to my knees and saw weird symbol shimmering on my wrist. As I dried my eyes to take a closer look at it, the skin started burning. 

                                  I jolted out from my dream as I sat up in my bed. Again, I was sitting in a complete white room and hell, it was reeking of hospital smell. How am I here? I was with Remi, right? Suddenly, the door burst open to reveal my mom barging in with a small smile on her face. "How are you feeling now, honey?" she questioned. "Why am I in hospital, mom?" "Well baby, it seems you have fainted while you were looking for Pip and Felix had admitted you here" she said with concern and ruffled my hair. "It's this man's job to call me as soon as you wake up and look at him now" she gestured towards dad. "I have an idea mom!" I whispered to her, as I smiled wickedly at my dad who was now sleeping peacefully.

                             "My God... Luke!" mum shook dad vigourously. "What the heck Delta? She is sleeping and I closed my eyes for, like a minute!" he whispered yelled at mum. "Then suite yourself Luke" she gestured to my empty bed. He jolted up in a speed which pushed his chair down with a thud. Panic was written all over his face. "Shit!" he cursed. "It's that stupid devil lad" he spit out. "Sshh Lukas" mum said as she pointed her finger at me. "What's there on the table?" With great difficulty I squeezed myself out of that table and waved at my dad. "Why are you so angry at him" I asked him while I folded my arms. He is the the type of person who never curses anyone. "I believe he is reason you're here" "Yes of course" I chimed in.

                          He was dumbstruck and turned to me. "I mean, he is the one who admitted me here" I chuckled. My mum smiled and pulled dad towards the door and said, "We'll be back after we finish your discharge papers honey" I nodded at them and they left my room. A few moments later, someone knocked my door. "Come in" I said. It was a nurse and she did a few check-ups on me. In the middle of something she said, "You have a great friend. Don't let him to slip away.." I blinked in confusion. "I assume you don't know anything" "Yes ma'am" I said. "Oh please call me Hayden" she smiled kindly. "I woke up a few moments ago Hayden" she chuckled. "That's because you were sedated" 

                                "Well, your friend caused quite a scene. He barged through the doors with you in his arms. He looked terrified and called out a doctor and we were stunned by his attitude that no one moved in the lobby" I gasped, shocked that he carried me in his arms. "He then rushed inside Ms. Hart's room and admitted you here. Well, that guy had enough guts to do a stunt over here" "Thank you Hayden" I said sincerely. "Where is he now?" "Well, umm, he called your parents and he was speaking with them. I guess something happened between them cause he left abruptly after that" She said with a worried face. "He what?!" "Yes, he waited here till 7 and then this scenario happened" "Oh" I said. 

                               "Thank you so much Hayden for filling in the info" I smiled. " Hush now Quinn, you are free to go now" I smiled widely. "The given instructions include not to be over stressed and have sleep well, okay?" "Done" I said as I left the room with Hayden following me. I saw my parents in the lobby and went over to stand beside them. Suddenly my phone started to vibrate and saw that the caller Id was Mel's. "Mom, Mel is calling me" I said to her. "Go wait outside and we'll be back within a couple of minutes" "Okay" I said as I attended her call while walking outside. "Quinn, are you alright?" "Yep, I'm happy as a horse" I chuckled. "Then why the hell are you in hospital?" she asked. "How do you know it?" I asked looking around me.

                           "Cause we're here!!" the voice from behind me shrieked as Reni pulled me to a hug. "Oh my God guys!!" I exclaimed and squealed as I jumped in excitement. "When did you guys reach here?" "Umm, we reached here around 5pm or something. But to be honest, you look so fragile indeed" Reni said as she touched my cheeks. "Who is he?" she asked me. I turned around to see Felix talking with Mel. "He's Felix" I said as Hayden's words flowed through my mind, "He carried you in his arms, he made quite a show" I blushed. "He looks like a bad boy" Reni commented. The choice of clothes he wore screamed 'Bad boy' but who would have thought he would actually be kind and generous except me?

                             "He's the one who brought me here" I said as a smile crept on my face. I ran and hugged his back as I snaked my hands around his waist. "Ouch" he chuckled. "Thank you" I said to his back cause he was slightly taller to me and I inhaled his cologne. He smelled like mint and lemon to me. I retreated my hand when he pulled me to his front and kissed my forehead. "Hope you are good" he murmured. I felt strange tingles in my stomach and I felt all jittery around him. Thank God, he is holding me in place or I would have definitely fallen for him. I guess he would have also felt those strange tingles because he removed his hand shortly. "See you later then" he said as he winked at me and walked to my opposite direction.

                            When I turned around, two pairs of eyes stared my own. "Uh-oh" I thought. "Missy, you sure have a lot of things to explain to us" Mel said very sternly and we three laughed. My eyes caught something lurking in the shadows and I blinked hard as I thought I was imagining stuff due to my sedation. But hell no, it was a pissed of Remi staring at me before he disappeared in the crowd. "Crap!!" my mind screamed.
