" Quinn " his melodic voice called out to me . I knew it in an instant that it was him cause my heart skipped a beat. My body usually responds to him but not this time, not until he gives me some valid reasons. I gave him my silent treatment by ignoring his tempting voice and started walking away. "Why are you here?" he insisted me with an authoritative tone. "Quinn , talk to me !" "Why?" I bursted out unable to tolerate my anger . The temperature changed as I smirked at myself knowing the reason. "Why are you doing this to me ?" His beautiful face was scrunched up in confusion. "Why are you disappearing on me? Yesterday, you magically vanished within a second " I paused for a while and then continued. "Don't even try to make an excuse for that. It's humanly impossible. Aiden?

"I love you Merida" he smiled as he kissed my forehead and this small gesture, made me blush profusely. "I love y-" I was cut mid-sentence when someone called me, "Grace" But he hugged me even closer and placed his head on my neck. "I'm sorry I couldn't find you sooner. I'm sorry that you... You didn't love me" he whispered, as he let me from his hug. I did love him and why is he saying this to me? I was confused. What was he saying? I looked at his lilac blue eyes but he was staring ahead of me and his jaw tightened. I turned to see that Remi was standing near his red vintage car. I felt like someone stabbed my heart when I walked towards Remi.

All of me, wanted to go run into his hands but my mind wasn't listening to my own heart. It followed it's right path. It was as if I had no other choice except choosing Jeremy. He kissed my hand and gave me a bouquet. I climbed into his car and waved back at him. I saw him breaking down, but he pulled everything together as he smiled at me. A small tear escaped his eyes as our car moved forward. I couldn't tolerate the sadness when I left him. "Why are you crying?" I was crying? I touched my cheeks to see tears on my fingers. Did I make a wrong choice of choosing Remi? "What happened Grace?" he turned his attention to me. "Nothing" I said and the next thing I heard was a loud bam.

"Dude! You're a heavy sleeper. Wake up girl!!" Mel yelled at me. It was followed by a loud thud. "We need to go shopping!" Reni screamed. "Renita, shut it!" I countered back as I squirmed under my blanket. "We are heading back this afternoon" This spiked my interest and I was wide awake now. "Okay I'm up, but are you serious?" "Yep. We came here cause our school was off on Friday as well as on Monday... So we decided and ended up here" she exhaled. "But things didn't turn out good when we saw you at the hospital" "I'm sorry. I wasted our quality time!" I whined. "Don't worry, we still have a forever within our numbered hours" Reni winked at him. "Copied from TFIOS?" "Well, changed up a lil' bit" she laughed. "Where's my other dude?" "She's in the restroom" she said. "Okay" "Okay" and we both ended up laughing.

"I'm waiting!" I said to those two people who were bidding farewell to my mum. "Whose car is that?" grinned Mel. "I might or mightn't have got this for birthday" I exclaimed. "Wow, it's so gorgeous babe" "Yeah and it's brand new cause I drove it only once. Wanna try?" I asked them. "Me!" Reni caught the keys. "Well, it's not as beautiful as yours Mel" she chuckled. We drove a long way to reach the nearest mall, yes this was said by my best friend Reni. They both dragged me to the dress section as soon as we reached the mall. "Uh-oh. Not gonna happen ladies. You have to stuff me up with food" I said as I stopped in my tracks.

"Renita, you go select dresses while I stuff this panda with food" Mel instructed her and pulled me to Starbucks. "What do you want?" she asked me as she took her wallet. "Chocolate smoothie" "Done" she said as she went to the billing counter. "Babe, you go to Reni... Guess I won't make it in time cause the line is long" she exclaimed. I chuckled and said, "You go to her, I'll wait here... Deal?" She pulled up her eyebrows when she said, "No but..-" I cut her and said, "No buts, it's my smoothie. So, I'll stay" "Okay... okay" she said raising her hands in acceptance. I took her place in the queue and pulled my phone to kill some time.

"Your smoothie?" came the addictive melodic voice. I didn't dare to make an expression that I heard him. "I know you heard me because you flinched slightly" he stated flatly. Sensing the crowd, my hand automatically found the bluetooth at the back pocket. I know that you're judging me but I can't help it. I missed his intriguing figure. "So what? You're not mortal, I only talk to mortals" "Ah! I didn't see that coming" he said as he clutched his chest. I chuckled and gained a few stares around. Ignoring them, I asked, "Why am I the only one who is able to see you? Why are you following me? How are you in this state? What happ-" "Woah woah woah slow down lady" I blinked at him.

"I don't know why! It's like a magical string that connects me to you" he winked at me. "See Quincy, it would be really nice if I know all the answers to your questions but hell, I guess the favour of the fate is not with us" he chuckled. Wait, is he serious? Does he know what I'm talking about? I was beyond furious. "What th-" I screamed and he tried to cover my mouth only to get vanished. I got some weird faces and stares. Yes truly, if this happened to someone just a few days ago, I would have definitely judged them. But now, the roles have reversed. As soon as I got my order, I left the store. "Sorry 'bout that" came the voice. "Urgh!" I said out loud. "Look Remi, let's get somethings straight" I dared not to look at his mesmerizing green eyes.

"Hmm" he said. "Please don't disappear and spook on me later" I pleaded him. He smirked, "Miss me?" "No!" I said and walked into the shop to see my friends there. "Took you eternity to reach here" "Saw that hot guy from hospital?" Mel questioned as I heard muffled laughing sound from Reni. "Guys! I told you to close this chapter, didn't I?" "Who the hell is he?" snapped Remi. My God! Such a typical drama queen... Is he bipolar or something? "Answer me Quinn!" "I will explain it later" I said making eye contact with him. "What?" Reni asked as I signalled her that I was talking to someone over bluetooth. "Thank you" I said to no one to end my act like a master piece and joined them. "We're just friends!" I exclaimed. "Whatever you say so but I totally ship you guys!" gushed Reni.

"These dresses are for us and we have selected 3, for you to choose and we can leave after we pay for them" Mel explained. "Okay" I said and stood in front of the mirror. Remi was standing behind my friends more like observing me. First one was red, knee length frock which was plain as well as shimmering in the light. It didn't have a back as the strings on the shoulders made a knot on the back. Moreover it didn't have sleeves and it didn't suit me. Next was a navy blue dress. Simple and modest but it had a white collar. It was sleeveless too. But the black dress caught my attention.

It was plain black and reached my toes. It had flowers of pink and yellow light shades from the waist till up. The shoulders were covered with black net cloth plus it was a tight fit and showed my curves perfectly. I lowered my gaze down to the floor when my besties and Remi's mouth were wide open. "It's not nice right?" I asked them. "It's not good" he said making me frown. "You're gorgeous!" he completed. "My cheeks flared red in response. "Dude, you're rocking!" They both synced. The dress had a black satin bow and it glittered from the waist down. It had no sleeves too and overall I loved it.

"Where would you wear this?" Mel asked me. "I dunno. Maybe when I attend some grand party or when you guys invite me to your prom night at school. Until then, this dress will peacefully sleep in my wardrobe" This made Reni to grin. "Will you not wear it for me?" Remi whispered. Why is he whispering? I should be the one to. "You're dead" I whispered him back. Just after we paid for the dress, I saw a familiar person sitting at a café. "Girls, I'll be back in a minute" I said as I rushed to that shop followed by Remi. I neared the shop to meet my older reflection facing my side and talking to someone who is definitely in his twenties. "Maybe her friend who was visiting by, is sitting and talking to her" my mind assured me.

But my super hearing senses kicked in, okay, I used my powers to eavesdrop what they were talking. My mum frowned, "No, it's not the right time dear. She is not ready to face you yet" "So what? It doesn't bother me cause I hate her" came his strong masculine voice. "You tried to choke her!" "Pfft. She is still breathing now isn't she? Please keep your voice low cause I don't want anyone to hear this" My hands started to tremble in response to my fear. "Don't show up to her, for now, I beg you please" "Okay mom. But that won't stop you from meeting me, right?" " I will meet you dear cause I love you" she chuckled. My eyes started watering as I ran to the nearby restroom.

"What happened? Who is he?" Remi questioned me. I ignored him and splashed water thoroughly on my face till I felt the coldness. He was here. "No, is here" my mind alarmed me in fear. Though I love him, Fear always finds a way to overthrow that feeling. "Remi" I whispered and met his soft green eyes which was filled with concern. "He's back" I barely gasped out. He looks puzzled as his eyebrows formed a V shape. "My brother Aiden" I choke out.

Well, did anyone find out who he was before Quinn found his identity?

I guess I gave a lead of this brother character in the first few chapters... This character will have a major play in a few chapters more....
