Daddy Issues vs Technology

Alex's POV

Tony and I drank our morning drink when fury walked into the kitchen. "Stark did you tell Alex about school?" I rolled my eyes, "yeah i told her." fury got a smug expression, "That's what you get for blackmailing me kid, nobody blackmails me." Tony and i looked at each other for a second and then laughed. "Fury I think your plan would have worked, but you forgot one factor about me." He crosses his arms, "and what would that be?"

"I am literally in the small percentage of teens who actually like going to school to learn."

"You're a weird kid."

"That's what I said."

I roll my eyes, "Is that the only thing you came here for Fury?" he quickly went to business mode. "Actually no, I have a mission for you, romanoff and barton. You will get the details on the mission at 10." i was going to accept the mission but tony spoke up first. "Sorry fury they are sick." fury looked at me like he was interrogating me, "Mena are you sick?" "nah, tony is exaggerating. I only have a little sniffle."

"well then. stark they are going on this mission." He leaves to who knows where.

"Yessss!"

"why did you lie to fury?" I drank the last bit of my tea, "i didn't lie, i do only have the sniffles and if it was something else, it would probably only last a day or two. and i really want to do a mission." he sends me a look that I have never seen in person only in sitcoms when the kid did something bad and the dad would have THE dad look. "Alexis you can't even close a door with your magic without it slamming it." "That's better than earlier where i almost broke my door. Hey look that progress I'm already getting better." "but you're still sick." i get up and put my cup in the sink, "well tony, i don't know what to tell you, but im normally the brains in the household. I can do perfectly fine without magic if i suddenly don't have my magic. so i think i will be fine." i stick my tongue out at him and left the kitchen, "real mature, smartass!"

"look in the mirror, dumbass!" I rolled my eyes and walk to the elevator and stepped in.

"JARVIS where are clint and natasha?"

"They are in the training room, would you like me to take you there?"

"No, not yet i need to go to my room first."

the door closes and jarvis takes me to the living level where most of the avengers sleep in. "Jarvis do you think i was too mean to tony." "well boss never had someone he has responsibility to take care of someone like a child, or in this case, a teenager who humbles him a bit. He has always be in charge of his own life and very good at taking charge of anything really. and from what i can tell you also like to be in charge, and from my calculations you have never had a male authority figure, to humble you." i shake my head in realization what he is saying to me. "JARVIS are you telling me that tony and i both have daddy issues." "if you put it that way, then yes." the elevator door opens and i flip off the roof, knowing the fucker can take a hint.

"what did the roof do to you?" i hear as i walk into the living area of this floor. i look towards the couches and see bruce reading a book. "the roof didn't do anything, jarvis did." he puts a bookmark in the book. "what did jarvis do?" "i don't want to talk about it, fucker knows what he did."

"what were you reading?" "oh just some astrophysics, What are you doing?" i get excited, "I'm going on my first mission!" "aren't you sick?" i slowly walk towards my room, "whaaaaat, noooo im not." he was going to say something else but i went invisible and sped walked to my room.

once inside i checked the time and it was 9:30 am, which leaves me 30 minutes to get showered and dressed, i can read the mission details on our way to our destination.

Time skip

After my shower I changed into a black suit with yellow accents and added a black cape and hood. i put on my black converse that has yellow bees embroidered on the sides. I changed my hair to have a white streak in my bangs. I try to braid my hair but with no success. Maybe Natasha can braid my hair. i grab two hair ties and put them on my wrist.

I look at myself in the mirror and I'm satisfied with how I look, I noticed that there is a tablet looking thing on my bed. I turn around and grab it and leave my room.

As I'm walking to the elevator I pass steve, I don't take my eyes off the tablet thing, "hey steve." He walks besides me, "hey, alex. I heard your going on your mission with Clint and natasha." I try to turn the tablet on but with no success. "Yeah, I'm really excited but I can't figure out this tablet. It's too advanced for me to figure it out." Steve laughs a bit and we step into the elevator. "That's understandable, I guess we're both out from this time period." I let out a little laugh, "yeah, I'm from the future and your from the past. Just a couple of time travelers trying to figure this time period and dumb technology."

Steve smiles and I step off the elevator, "well then maybe you can teach me some things from your universe and we can both learn this time period." I shrugged, "why, not?" He waves and the elevator door closes.

I look up at the ceiling, "Jarvis, where are Natasha and Clint now?"

"I'm sure your old enough to find them."

I glared at the ceiling, "is this sass coming from earlier."

"I don't know maybe because you used a inappropriate gesture towards me."

"Well damn. I'm sorry that you're butt hurt." Jarvis doesn't respond anymore, I sigh and mumble. "Now I have another problem with another piece of Tony's technology."
