Battle of New York pt.3
Samantha's POV
I fly to where loki dropped the staff and picked it up, fly to where natasha is and throw it down to her. "Don't close it yet, ill let you know when to close it. Trust me, if you don't want a thousand people dead." she nods and i go look for tony.
I find tony on a street in midtown fighting some warriors and i help him, "Stark, Mena, you hear me? You have a missile headed straight for the city." come through the earpiece. "How long?" tony asks as we prepare to fly off. "Three minutes. Max. Stay loaded can wipe out midtown." "We got it fury." "JARVIS, put everything we got into the thrusters." We take off as we fly off we are taking out warriors that are in our way.
"Can anybody copy? I can shut the portal down!" natasha says through the comms, "Do it!" Cap commands, "No don't. Nat Tony and i have a nuke coming in, it's gonna blow in less than a minute." Tony and I fly towards the missile, following closely behind it. "And we know just where to put it." Tony grabs hold of it he begins to redirect it toward the city. I make an air proof bubble around my head and make one around tony's helmet. " Stark,Mena, you know that's a one way trip." "We got it steve, i know how this end and we won't be dying today."
Tony redirects the missile, barely missing Stark Tower, and pushes it up towards the portal. I fly close behind him, Tony lets the nuke go as all the lights in his suit go out. I stand close by and we watch as the missile hits the Chitauri mothership and it explodes. Tony's eyes close as he falls slowly toward the portal. We make it out of the portal and tony is now free falling and i am flying faster to catch up to him. Tony is plummeting to the ground, with the little bet of energy i have left i was able to use my magic to catch tony. I make my whisps to carry tony higher and to follow me as i make my way to where the others are. I place tony on the ground and i sit down to rest. Thor pulls off Iron Man's face plate and Cap listens for a heartbeat, then sees the arc reactor is not glowing. I send a healing spell to tony and suddenly hulk roars and beats his chest. Tony, shocked,gasps and opens his eyes, looking around.
"What the hell? What just happened?Please tell me nobody kissed me." I laugh, "We won." steve says. "Alright, Hey. Alright. Good job,guys. Let's just not come in tomorrow. Let's just take a day.You ever tried shawarma? There's a shawarma joint about two blocks from here. I don't know what it is,but I wanna try it." "We can do that later tony." I say as i get up. "We're not finished yet." thor points out. "And then shawarma after?" Tony suggests, I nod. "Thor is it okay if you can give me a ride, im to tired." "of course, lady Mena." he flys up and i hold onto his back. Steve holds onto Tony's arm and we make our way to the tower.
We land on the platform and i hop off thor's back. Loki crawls over to a stair and turns to see us surrounding him. Clint has an arrow aimed at his face. Natasha is holding his scepter. Hulk growls. I take a quick glance at where future tony and scott are, i see tony's head pop out and i put my finger to my lips gesturing him to be quite. He nods and scoots back to his spot.
"If it's all the same to you, I'll have that drink now."
I make my way to the wall where tony is hiding behind of, "Who gets the magic wand?" Natasha says. "SHIELD's coming up now." natasha hands loki's scepter to agent sitwell. He's about to touch the tip when natasha stops him. "Careful with that." "Unless you want your mind erased. And not in the fun way." Clint says as he pours himself a drink form tony's bar.
Sitwell carries the scepter to the service elevator where a strike team awaits, "We promise to be extra careful." As they leave i smirk and make a 'i'm watching you' gesture, "Yeah you wouldn't want someone to mind control you right?" they glare at me as the door closes. Thor walks loki past steve, and loki transform into steve. "I'm on my way down to coordinate search and rescue." steve says and loki mimics him. Thor slaps a muzzle on Loki, who reverts back to his own form."Yes, that's much better." He steers his brother into the main elevator. i stick my tongue out at loki, "Samantha stop harassing the villain." tony states as he uses his gauntleted hand to place the tesseract into an aluminum case. "Fine but ill meet you downstairs i have to take care of something." Tony sends me a suspicious look. "You coming, Stark?" Thor asks, making tony forget my lie. "One sec, just packing my lunch." suddenly scott is flicked onto tony's hand.
Tony then makes his way into the elevator and sits on the case. Hulk steps up to the already crowded elevator, but tony tells him to take the stairs. i wave at the others as the elevator door shuts. I fly to where future tony is, "Hey tony" "hey kid, you going to help us?" I smirk at him, "of course i am its my job, isn't it." He chuckles and hands me a earpiece. "Yes it is."
"Hey cap, how's 2023 treating you?" steve chuckles, "i'm guessing you already know." "Well yeah." "Okay, Cap, I make ten of them, just passing the 80th floor." "Got it, head to the lobby." "Already on our way, steve." We make our way to the alley next to the tower, tony lands and his armor turns into a jacket. i land, "so how is future me?" i ask as i make tony a shield suit and hand it to him. "Well your 27 and act the same but a bit mature." I make a face at him, "Damn I'm old. At least i act the same." We make our way into the building and the others get to the lobby. "Okay kid you go do your job." "Copy that."
