Chapter 53: I like your daughter !

David couldn't believe her. " Do you want me to call one of my men heard everything you talked with Calcel that day ? " He asked.

" Of course not sir. But trust my daughter , She can never do such a thing. " Gladys begged.

" I already lost my trust in her. Not until I find the real truth , Alyssa will not leave this house again ! " David swore . " Take her back in her room ! " He commanded the maid .

" Mom , Say something please ! " Alyssa cried out gain . But it was too late , David seemed not to change his mind. The maid started pulling her away from living room but Alyssa was struggling though the maid was too powerful that she dragged her away.

" Sir , Why do have to do this to my daughter because of such a small mistake. ? " Gladys wondered.

David chuckled and sat down on his sofa. Not looking at Gladys or Alyssa, He said. " Things have changed , Alyssa is nolonger just a contracted wife to me. "

" What do you mean , And why can't you really let it go ? " Gladys asked again .

" Just like other husbands there , When a wife cheats she has to be disciplined. " David said and looked up at Gladys.

" I like your daughter ! " He announced.

" You..you...what ? " Gladys couldn't believe her ears .

" Yes , I like your daughter. And this is nolonger about the money , She's now my wife and she will ever be. " David said.

" But sir...What about my daughter. Do you think that she will take this ? " Gladys inquired.

" Her opinion doesn't matter now the fact that she's already my wife. " David answered.

Gladys heaved a sigh not knowing what do say. But she was fine with it and she had wanted it from the beginning , But this wasn't not the time to show her excitement. She calmed herself down and pretended as if she cared for her daughter. She was going to officially become an in.law to such a wealth and known family.

" I have a lot to finish. I will leave now. " David said and then left to find his men who were already waiting for him.

Gladys sat down on the couch and and took a sip of the coffee. A lot was running in her mind at the moment. She knew that Alyssa was going to be shocked to hear this but all in all ways she had to convince Alyssa to like David back.

" Afterlol my daughter isn't in love with anyway one , I will make her fall in love with David by all means. Then my family can also become part of the Wong's and we can share their wealth. " Gladys thought and a smirk formed on her lips.

She was still there when Butler Jenny came. She was just from shopping food and at the time Gladys came she had not been around.

" Madam Gladys , You are here. Good morning. " She greeted.

" Ah...Good morning Ms Jenny. How are you ? "

" I am good. What's the visit this early morning ? " She asked.

" I came to check on my daughter. " Gladys answered.

Jenny's face turned sad as she said. " I am sure you already know that she was locked inside . "

" I Know that. I just hope that my daughter's understands that he did it for a good reason. "

" I hope so. " Jenny said.

" I am...I think I should leave for work. Tell Alyssa that l love her so her so much. " Gladys said before she left.

" Of course I will. " Jenny said and saw Gladys off.

Calcel was in his office doing some work as usual. He had a meeting to attend so he made sure that he finished all he could before the meeting started. He was there when his secretary May came.

" Sir , The meeting is set. Everyone is already there. " May inform him.

" Fine , Let's go ! " He said and got up from the office chair.

In the confrence hall.

They were in the middle of the meeting when they talked about the advertising department. Alyssa had not yet appeared yet she was the head and May noticed this. Only her assistant Ronny showed up.

" Sir , Why isn't Madam Alyssa here yet ? " May asked.

" Alyssa ? " Calcel asked and that's when he remembered her. That morning he had tried hard to forget her and the kiss they had the previous night but May talking of Alyssa's name brought it back.

" Yes sir , Since yesterday she hasn't shown up. " May added.

" Huh...I ....think... she will come anytime. She wasn't feeling well. " Calcel said in stammers.

He then sighed remembering all had happened and when he memorized how sweet Alyssa's lips were on his, he bit his lower lip and smiled.

Unfortunately he didn't know that all eyes were on him and a few people saw what he did.

" Sir , What do you think about it ? "

One of the workers asked but Calcel had not heard what they discussed. He had been lost in thoughts. Instead of answering he smiled again remembering the sweet kiss and this put question marks on their faces.

" Sir , Are you alright ? " May who had been watching him too asked.

That's when Calcel came back to reality. " What ? " He asked and made all of them to laugh except May.

" What are you laughing at ? " He asked them putting back his cold expression.

" Nothing sir. We were just asking what your opinion was about the idea. " The same worker repeated.

" It's good. Go ahead with it. " Calcel simply answered not even knowing what it was about .

After the meeting, Calcel went back in his office . He sat down and leaned on his chair. He closed his eyes and heaved several breathes wondering what was really going on with him. He still had to explain to Alyssa why he had kissed her , Otherwise she was going to misunderstand him which he didn't want.

" What was l on to kiss her ? " He hissed again and banged his desk when he opened his eyes and decided to focus back on work.
