Chapter 52: Calm down !

Calcel smiled at the message and then typed. " Thanks for dinner , Good night too. " He replied.

May was in her room sitted on her bed. She was ready to sleep when she thought of sending Calcel a message and here she was impatiently waiting for the reply. Seeing it , She smiled and typed again.

" Sweet dreams. "

Calcel recieved the message and read it. " Okay , Sleep tight. " He replied and then put the phone on the bedside before he covered himself with the blanket and finally slept off.

The next morning , Alyssa woke up by her by the sun's light that shone in her face. She could at least now move well so she had her shower and before she could walk downstairs , A maid came in with her breakfast and placed it on the table.

" What's that ? " She asked confused.

" Boss asked me to carry this here. He wouldn't wish to see you at the dinning table. " The maid said as she organized the dishes.

Alyssa chuckled. Was David really going to continue treating her like that ? She needed to do something.

" Do you have your phone here ? " Alyssa asked the maid.

" Yes ma'am , Why ? " The maid asked looking at her.

" Help me please , I need to talk to my mother. " Alyssa begged.

" Fine , But make sure you are fast. " The maid said as she got her small phone from the pocket.

" Thanks. " Alyssa said and dailed into her mother's phone .

" Ring ..Ring..." Gladys who was in her beauty shop heard the phone ring and picked it to find a new number.

" Who is this this early morning ? " Gladys' inner mind asked as she received the call.

" Hello , Who is this ? " Gladys asked.

" Mom ? " Alyssa called glad that her mother had received.

" Aly ? " Gladys asked.

" Mom , It's me.:" Alyssa said.

" My love , Long time .How are you ? " Gladys asked putting a grin on her face.

" Mom, Nothing is fine. I need you at Mr Wong's house right now. " Alyssa said.

" Why , What happened ? " Gladys asked shocked.

" Mr Wong locked me inside my room . "

" Why would he do that ? " Gladys asked.

" Mom , It's a long story . I just need you here then we can explain to him. "

" Fine , I will be there soon. " Gladys said and immediately left the shop.

After the call , Alyssa sighed and gave back the maid her phone. " Thank you so much. " She said said.

" Okay ma'am , Nice breakfast. " The maid replied and left.

Alyssa sat on her bed and looked at her breakfast. She didn't have appetite for it at all. All she wanted now was to see her mother.

It didn't take long for Gladys to arrive. She dashed out of her car into the living room where she gladly found David who was yet to leave. The maid was the first to inform him

" Mr Wong , Madam Gladys is here to see you. " She said.

" Ask her to come in. " David allowed her then the door was opened for Gladys to enter.

" Good morning Mr Wong. " She greeted.

" Good morning, Have a seat. " David said nonchalantly.

Gladys was calm enough so she sat down.

" What brings you here this early morning ? " He asked.

" I want to meet my daughter. " Gladys said.

" Why all of sudden ? " David asked.

" I have some good news for her but when I tried to call her phone , It was off. "

" Oh really. I am sorry , She just left for work " David lied not knowing that Alyssa had called Gladys.

" But am from her work place and they were like she's here. I also asked one of the maids and she proved me that Alyssa is around. " Gladys said.

David chuckled . He was caught in a lie. " Anyway , She's here.." He was still taking when they both heard bangs of the door and Alyssa Calling.

" Mom ! Mom ! Help ! "

That had been Alyssa's plan with the maid. If her mother arrived , The maid had to go and inform Alyssa and she would shout out loud to prove her mother that she has been really locked up in her room.

" Isn't that my daughter's voice ? " Gladys asked

David gritted his teeth in anger. He wondered how Alyssa knew that Gladys was around.

" Mom , Please ! " Alyssa called again.

Gladys couldn't wait so she got up from the sofa . " Where does my daughter sleep ? " She asked the maid who had just come to serve her some coffee.

" Up there ? " The maid pointed at the stair case.

Gladys hurried off and when she was that floor she could clearly hear the sound.

" Mom ! Mom ! " Alyssa called.

Gladys finally went to the door. " Dear , I am here. The act was good. " Gladys said to Alyssa in whisper through the door. They didn't want it to be obvious that Alyssa had informed her mother about this and this had been their plan which was a success.

In the living room, David was still cursing all that was happening. " Hurry and open the door for her. " He commanded the maid.

" Yes sir. " The maid said with a bow and then hurried to Alyssa's room.

After all that , Gladys sloped downstairs hand in hand with Alyssa as the maid followed behind.

" Mr Wong , What did this mean ? " Gladys asked. Alyssa all looked innocent and tears were all flowing over her cheeks.

" Ask your daughter herself ! " David said looked away from Gladys.

" Dear , What happened ? " Gladys asked.

" Mom , I also don't understand. He's just angry with me because I made his son get lost at the Island. " That's all she could say.

" What are you meaning , Try to explain ! "

" The day we left for donations at the orphanage , I had a quarrel with Calcel and we both ended up falling in water which after we got lost from another Island for the whole night. " Alyssa narrated.

" Is that all ? " David huskily asked.

" I said sorry but I don't know why you failed to understand me. "

" Why don't you tell your mother the reason why you quarreled with my son ? " David asked more serious.

Alyssa first looked at her mother who was ready to listen.

" Dear tell me , I am your mother. " Gladys begged

" It's because he thought that I was dating Herman and he's claiming I am cheating on his father " Alyssa cried out.

" Because he thought , Do you take my son for an idiot to just assume things ? " David was more angry.

" Sir , Calm down ! " Gladys begged.

" It's not that , But Calcel just misunderstood things. " Alyssa gasped.
