Upon hearing Kyros's words, Ultear's heart trembled once again.
If anyone else had said this, she would have undoubtedly labeled them as shameless or insane.
Grimoire Heart possessed the Seven Kin of Purgatory, each a formidable wizard, with Bluenote serving as Deputy Commander, an even greater force.
And then there was Guild Master Hades, a formidable figure teetering on the brink of magical abyss.
Yet, when Kyros spoke these words, Ultear found herself contemplating their feasibility.
For Kyros, the objective was clear: to dismantle Grimoire Heart.
Grimoire Heart, guilty of numerous atrocities, had become an enemy of Fairy Tail.
Hades had gravely wounded their Guild Master. This alone warranted the annihilation of Grimoire Heart. Many guild members had also suffered severe injuries at their hands.
Though these events were yet to unfold, they could be forestalled. Why wait for the inevitable confrontation?
Additionally, their misdeeds had summoned the black dragon, Acnologia.
The ultimate antagonist in this Fairy Tail narrative.
Even in the climax, its demise was only scripted. Kyros had spent years honing his abilities, intending to vanquish the black dragon Acnologia, safeguard Fairy Tail, and incidentally, the world.
Yet, recalling the black dragon's formidable might, even Kyros harbored doubts about his capability to overcome it.
Thus, it was prudent to postpone the confrontation until he had accrued more strength and attributes.
"Boom–!!"
The entire ruins quaked. Kyros's few strikes obliterated the ruins' main support, initiating their collapse.
"Crack!" A colossal boulder hurtled toward Lucy.
"Ah!" Lucy shrieked in terror.
"Boom!!"
Kyros materialized beside Lucy, smashing the boulder with a single punch. As he glanced toward Ultear, she had vanished.
In that moment, the tremors subsided, and the surroundings swiftly began to restore themselves. What Kyros had destroyed moments earlier reverted to its prior state.
"Arc of Time..." The magic of time was truly wondrous.
At this realization, Kyros understood that the collapse had likely been Ultear's doing, an attempt to evade.
Kyros's expression turned resolute. Though his Observation Haki lacked the embellishments of higher levels, its range sufficed. Soon, he locked onto Ultear's presence, fleeing outside Galuna Island.
However, Kyros furrowed his brow, momentarily abandoning the pursuit.
At the top layer of ruins,
"What?!"
Gray was taken aback as he witnessed the ground, which had just been shattered, returning to its original form.
"Is that Zalty's doing?" he wondered aloud.
Observing the ground's miraculous restoration, Lyon speculated that it must indeed be Zalty's magic at work. Zalty had always been enigmatic, unconcerned with the purpose of his magic as long as it served to aid Deliora.
"ICEMAKE · Hammer Soldier!" Lyon exclaimed, as a magic circle materialized above his head, summoning a massive ice hammer that plummeted towards him.
In response, Lyon swiftly gestured upwards. "ICEMAKE · Great Ape!" he commanded, conjuring a towering ice ape behind him, its arms raised in readiness.
A resounding crash echoed as the giant ape's arm collided with the descending ice hammer, shattering both in a spectacular display.
"You still rely on manual gestures to cast spells," Lyon remarked, pointing at Gray. "Old habits die hard, huh?"
"That's how Ur taught us," Gray retorted. "Using both hands ensures better stability during spellcasting."
But Gray wasn't finished. "ICEMAKE Lancer!" he declared, conjuring a barrage of ice spears from his hands.
Lyon countered with a flourish of his own. "ICEMAKE · Big Eagle!" he commanded, conjuring an ice eagle with a wave of his hand.
The battlefield erupted into chaos as ice spears clashed with the soaring ice eagle, their powers canceling each other out in a dazzling spectacle of magic and skill.
"Lyon, what are you trying to do?!" Gray exclaimed, his voice filled with concern and confusion.
Slowly, Lyon removed his helmet, revealing his determined face. "Do you not understand?" he questioned.
"Ur is my goal! Surpassing Ur is my dream! But you have stripped me of this dream. I can no longer surpass Ur," Lyon declared, his voice tinged with frustration.
"So, there is only one way. If I can defeat Deliorara, the one even Ur cannot defeat, then I will surpass Ur and my dream will be realized," Lyon explained, his eyes gleaming with determination.
Gray couldn't comprehend Lyon's words. "Are you serious? Is this your purpose? To resurrect Deliora and render Ur's sacrifice meaningless, all for this trivial pursuit?" he challenged.
"Cease your words! You are not worthy to face Deliora!" Lyon's expression twisted into a grotesque mask of anger as he gestured, summoning ice cubes to encase Gray.
Gray gasped as he felt the icy grip tightening around him. "You dare to belittle my dreams and tell me to stop? After ten years, you've grown arrogant, Gray!" Lyon's voice boomed with fury.
"You have forgotten the reason you must challenge Deliora—to honor Ur's sacrifice!" Lyon spat, his anger palpable.
"You have no right to speak Ur's name! Begone from my sight! Begone!" Lyon commanded, his voice echoing with menace.
Gray cried out as he collapsed to the ground, overwhelmed by Lyon's power.
Suddenly, Kyros's voice echoed in Gray's ears, cutting through the chaos. "You've taken quite a beating, Gray," he remarked solemnly.
