Chapter 51 : The Cracked Island!!

You can't allow the opponent to continue attacking, or you'll surely meet your demise.

With a swift gesture from Ultear, a crystal ball was propelled at Kyros with astonishing speed.

Kyros raised his hand and caught the crystal ball, then applied slight pressure.

"Crack!" The crystal ball shattered.

However, in the blink of an eye, the crystal ball reverted to its original state and collided with Kyros's body.

"Crack!" The crystal ball shattered once more.

Kyros furrowed his brows. "Is that all?"

"Not satisfied with one? Then have a hundred!!"

With a sweeping motion, Ultear conjured hundreds of crystal balls beside Kyros, all hurtling towards him. Kyros made no attempt to evade or resist.

"Boom boom boom!"

Every crystal ball shattered upon impact with Kyros, yet he remained unmoved.

"How is this possible?!"

Ultear's eyes widened in disbelief as she witnessed her magical assault prove futile against Kyros.

Lucy, observing from a distance, exclaimed triumphantly, "Kyros is a behemoth, capable of toppling even a train! What harm can a few crystal balls do to him?"

Ultear's expression darkened as she recalled Kyros's moniker, the 'Immortal Demon King,' a formidable entity whose physical prowess surpassed that of most beasts.

"Is this your limit?"

"Don't underestimate me!"

Infuriated by Kyros's retort, Ultear unleashed her magic, summoning a barrage of crystal balls that converged upon him. The shattered remnants reassembled at their original positions, launching another assault on Kyros.

"Boom boom boom!"...

"Kyros!" Lucy couldn't help but fret for Kyros's safety at the sight.

Ultear's relentless barrage persisted for a full minute.

"This... this should've finished him off..."

Ultear gasped for breath, gazing at the cloud of smoke, convinced that even a man of iron would've been reduced to rubble by now.

Suddenly, Kyros's voice echoed from within the haze.

"Well... not bad. It's been ages since I've had such a relaxing massage."

As the smoke dissipated, Kyros emerged unscathed. It had been a while since he felt so at ease. His physical resilience was too robust; conventional magic posed no threat.

While Ultear's magic hadn't harmed him, it did offer a slight sensation—a perfect massage.

Glancing at Ultear, Kyros remarked, "Anything else? Feel free to continue."

Gritting her teeth, Ultear retorted, "It's far from over!!"

Swish swish!!

Countless crystal balls materialized beside Kyros once more.

"May the gods shine upon us all!!"

All the crystal balls emitted beams of light directed at Kyros.

"Boom boom boom!!!"

A tremendous explosion erupted.

"Wow!" Lucy, concealed in the distance, was caught in the blast and couldn't help but scream.

"Do it… do it…"

"The power isn't bad. If it doubles, it might actually hurt me."

Ultear's pupils suddenly contracted, and for the first time, she felt a sensation called despair. She couldn't defeat him, not at all. Her magical power was nearly depleted, yet her adversary seemed unfazed. What kind of monster was this?

"Well, it seems you've exhausted your tricks. It's nearly time to end this."

"Om–!"

With a commanding aura, a long sword materialized before Kyros.

It was this very sword that caused Ultear's blood to run cold, instilling an incomprehensible terror within her.

I'm going to die! If that sword strikes, it's certain death!

Instinctively, Ultear resorted to ice magic, a power she loathed to use.

"Ice-Make: Rosen Krone!!!"

In an instant, Ultear conjured numerous ice thorns adorned with exquisite ice roses, hurtling them toward Kyros.

This was Ultear's most formidable offensive and defensive spell.

"Shuh–!"

The club covered by Kyros's Conqueror's Haki hurtled towards Ultear.

"Kacha Kacha!!" Black and red lightning crackled around the club.

The ice thorns and roses began to wither and disintegrate before they could touch the club.

"Boom boom boom boom!!!"

Ultear collapsed to her knees, breathing heavily, her face still etched with the specter of death, having narrowly escaped it moments before.

Turning her head, Ultear surveyed the ruined wall, a massive hole torn through it. Gazing through the breach, her eyes widened.

She beheld a vast canyon on Galuna Island, as though cleaved by some colossal force.

"Female… female?" Lucy exclaimed in astonishment, observing Ultear's transformation from a diminutive man to a stunning woman with flowing black hair clad in white garments.

Ultear's expression shifted, and she hurriedly touched her face, realizing her magical disguise had been dispelled, revealing her true form. Hastily, she concealed it with her hands.

"Don't play games, Ultear."

"You… you know me?"

Kyros didn't respond to Ultear's inquiry but pressed on, "Tell me, the whereabouts of Grimoire Heart, and I may spare your life."

Ultear was dumbfounded. Not only did this person know her name, but also her identity. How was this possible?

Forcing herself to regain composure, Ultear queried Kyros, "Why do you seek the location of Grimoire Heart?"

"Simply put, I intend to annihilate Grimoire Heart."
