Planned ambush

Orion and Vousch headed to the dining room of the abandoned castle which Orion learned was named castle Zancrow due to Vouschs mumbling.

They were immediately greeted by a group of necromancers upon arriving which included Secthir who Orion had seen chewing out Vousch earlier when he was summoned.

"Ah Vousch you are here.I see you also brought your skeleton with you.Did you do something to it?.It seems slightly stronger compared to before.Perhaps it's the effect of the special materials you wasted."Secthir got into a long rant intending to give a few jabs at Vouschs sense of competence and reliability.

"What did you need sir?."asked Vousch as he wanted to get straight to the point and avoid having his reliability insulted.

"Right I was planning our next ambush.Another trading caravan is going to pass through the Derbyshire woods.Those traders dont seem to learn although this time around they are presumably heavily armed due to our recent attacks on the trading caravans.I suspect they will be hiring adventurers from Ring City's adventurers guild in order to guard this trading caravan."Secthir explained the situation and seemed annoyed at the fact that this ambush would require more effort this time around.

"Right then whats our plan of action for the ambush?."asked Vousch who seemed excited for some action considering he was one of the necromancers summoned for the mission.

"We'll be having the initiates take a turn this time but they will be accompanied by some seniors and myself in order to prevent possible losses.We'll also bring some ghouls and ghosts along for the ride.We'll let the undead go first in order to enjoy the show.You should also bring your skeleton for laughs."said Secthir as he looked towards Orion with a grin.He was clearly expecting a show.

"When will we be departing for the ambush?."asked Vousch eagerly.

"We'll leave in two hours some initiates still haven't arrived yet and we need to get the ghouls and ghosts ready."Secthir replied and then stopped the conversation to get to work.There was a lot of things that had to get ready and prepared for the ambush.

Orion wasn't quite sure if he was ready since he was only level 2 and he hadn't met the enemies this world had to offer or what they were capable of.

Orion did however know that he would probably crush an ordinary person since he was slightly more then twice as strong as an ordinary person and had slightly more then twice their constitution.He was also twice as fast as a regular human.

Orion didn't think he would only be fighting ordinary humans however judging from how Secthir said the trading caravan would be heavily guarded this time around.The odds of him facing ordinary humans was slim.

He would have to wait and find out if he was a match for his enemies or not.

Mandar Schions POV

Mandar was sitting in the study of the royal branch mages guild.He hadn't gotten a report from the research squad in some time.

This made Mandar worried as he didn't want nothing bad to happen to his research subject.Speaking of which if something bad did happen he would have to pay heavy compensation to the family.The family would probably be better off for life with the compensation but they would no doubt hate Mandar for life.They would probably try and damage his reputation by exposing the experiments he had done on a human being.Albeit an abnormal human being at that.

Mandar Schion had originally heard rumours of a poor family birthing a freak child.Rumours were that the child was abnormally strong,fast,durable,flexible and intelligent.The child slept only three hours a day and when he was supposedly 'asleep' he was medically dead until he 'woke up'.The child also had an abnormal healing speed and felt a lack of pain which was rare among humans.

Mandar Schion immediately sent people to investigate upon hearing the rumours of the freak child.He promised to pay the family to keep the child (he had to let the child visit his family each week) and be able to perform experiments on it.These tests revealed a shocking truth.The boy Valdel had a constantly changing and adapting physiology.This was only heard of in the history of the Old Times before the light lords and the light arrived on Fritzia.

Mandar Schion performed countless experiments on the boy which resulted in the boy gaining a stronger body.It was a pity the boy had a lack of talent in magic as his mana capacity also increased.When Mandar Schion heard about the broken out dungeon and the effects of the fog that came out of it.He immediately sent a squad of researchers and guards along with his favourite research subject in order to see the effects of the fog on the subjects body.

Not to turn into a monster mind you but he wanted Valdel to ingest mutated plant and animal matter.He had to cross many obstacles in order to perform this test such as the isolation and quarantine policy when dealing with the fog.However he never got a report of their arrival within the fog of the broken out dungeon.

Come to think of it Mandar had heard of rumours of necromancers within the Derbyshire woods.Was his test subject kidnapped?No,never,he had to get him back in order to find out how his body worked.

"I guess I'll have to talk to Kerry the Slicer and get him to investigate.I'm far too busy studying space magic in order to attain the breakthrough I need to break through to the mid A rank."with that Mandar got back to his studies.
