If he can choose one thing from: to obtain immediate power through pain or grow stronger, albeit slowly, but no pain.
Then he would choose the latter. Other protagonists experienced all kinds of torture and died at least once just to obtain a treasure or something.
But Nai hates those kinds of things. This is his reality, and he knows nothing of the future or if he was favored by something like an illusory fate or fortune of the world.
Do I have a cheat? A golden finger, blue eyes, or red hair? Royal blood? No, I have none of those. If I hadn't met Garut, I would have thought the Moon's Blessing was my cheat to this world.
If I hadn't met those bizarre monsters that wore humans skin back then with their kinks He would have thought he was invincible.
"My body's capabilities have indeed broken through the limits recorded in my past world records. However, this strength isn't yet the real limit of the human flesh and blood physique."
"My body is still getting stronger and stronger day by day, with no signs of bloating or stopping."
"The explosion that will occur will not happen; Garut is an example of someone who grows up so old in age. How old is he, by the way?"
"As expected of the accepter's path." Growing stronger isn't just one thing; even a person's lifespan would lengthen. This is what the real path should be."
"Others pursue power and strength, while I pursue eternal life and abilities that can achieve anything. Strength only comes along to bear it's worth."
"Breaking the fabric of space with a fist? Don't expect to live on a planet with life, then. You might accidentally create a black hole that will kill us all."
"Long life is the real path! The eternal life! The immortal soul! The indestructible body! Who cares about destruction? Why not create more and then convert?"
"Who cares about balance anyway?" Nai took a deep breath as he calmed his surging emotions once again. He suddenly missed those days when he felt nothing but emptiness within.
"Although that's a bad thing, it won't be one if it's only sometimes." Shaking his head, he observed things around him and the moon's blessing for a while.
Seeing nothing else happening, he stood up and left. Before leaving, he freed Acacia from the house. Although she didn't ask, her face shows her curiosity in the eyes.
As if Nai would tell her that. There are things meant not to be said. As it will only cause a chain of reactions that might turn harmful to himself instead.
"I can be low-key while at the same time high-profile. Pretend to be weak at times and then become their danger at night." Standing on top of the castle's foundation, he muttered to himself.
"Strength dictates victory, while those who live longer enjoy momentary happiness. There's no right or wrong; it's only where you stand that you should choose where you belong."
Taking a deep breath, Nai bent his knees and exerted power on his legs and feet. With a thud sound, he floated up for five meters in mid-air before stopping.
"This is freedom, but at the same time a shackle to another way of thinking. There's neither permanence nor real freedom. The reason? It's always the minds that think that it wasn't enough."
"Greed is what dictates what kind of freedom we wants to have." Ah~ huh. I really should stop mumbling this kind of deep talk to myself."
"Reality is just harsh; to survive, one must adapt. Naturally, I mustn't forget my roots. Even if I can't see it, let my faith guide me with hope."
...
After some morning work piling bricks on the pillars, Nai decided to meditate on the Viridescent Vitality Breathing Exercise as well as its corresponding flow circulation.
"I'm just following where the bloodstream goes; others might have different veins, but most of them are the same." In the future, all the things that can be passed on will only become the foundation.
He would let others build what they wanted after that. There are more things to be discovered by having many brains and difficult bodies than a single one can do.
Breathe in, breathe out. Follow the rhythm and the pattern. Soon, he felt it—something flowing that is neither hot nor cold, entering his nostrils and then down to his lungs.
Exerting his will and thought on the flow, using his inner sight to guide it to its path. Soon the flow started following the bloodstream route on his body.
From his lungs to his heart, then to every part of the body as well as the brain, before finally returning back to his heart to be replenished by the flow coming from his lungs and then circulating once again.
One big circulation after another. After the tenth circulation, he was so deep into it that he forgot about the outside world and time.
In his mind, he was sitting in a dark place. Brown mist lingers around, with his eyes closed. His breathing followed the exercise.
Thick brown fog surged around and swirled around his body before getting sucked into his nose and entering his lungs.
With every exhalation, he would let out a pale, turbid, light gray mist that would disappeared thereafter.
Nai suddenly found himself surrounded by something heavy and smelling like dirt around him. There's something like a cracking noise of earth as well as the noise of soil moving.
Without him noticing it, his black hair suddenly gained a rich brown-colored strand that fell down beside his ears like a straight waterfall. However, it wasn't too obvious.
A while later, the surging brown fog around him slowly thickened. Before long, some pieces of rich-looking dirt and soil started gathering around him like loose sand.
And such sand turns into hills that surround him. In the end, they hardened and broke into countless pieces of dust that returned to the fog.
What they left behind was an amber-brown-looking stone.
...
Nai opened his eyes slowly, and light gently registered in his mind. The blindingly bright light that contained heat almost made him close his eyes again.
A few seconds later, he observed his surroundings as well as the sun. "Estimated to be three hours in meditation. I almost thought I had fallen asleep midway. This is real meditation, huh?"
He stretched out his limbs and suddenly found himself full of strength. "What's this? How did I suddenly grow so energized after meditation? The Viridescent Vitality Breathing Exercise had such an effect?"
There seems to be a rioting beast inside his blood that wants to let loose as he grips his palms into fists and starts exerting power in them. "I want to punch something."
He returned home to check things up before jumping naked into the pond. Acacia was dumbfounded at the scene. Her husband just likes to take a bath every single time.
When she thought that the water she was drinking also came into the pond, she immediately turned red and walked away shyly. No one knows what's on her mind.
Even if Nai knew, he would not care. Such is the way lazy people would care for another person. Everyone has space; we need to respect them to be respected too.
Splash!
Bop! Boop! Bop!
The pond soon churned for a while as the figure underwater seemed to have gone crazy fighting something within. Acacia has long gone to take care of things. If she saw this, who knows what she would think?
As if Nai would care! Five minutes passed or so, and the pond finally calmed down. The cool water helped him calm down.
The feeling of overflowing strength coursing through his body seems to have died down but has not vanished. Nai had a hunch in his heart. "I feel like I can crack the earth with a single stomp of my feet."
Emerging on the pond, he looked at the blue sky and suddenly wanted to try. Without further thought, he left the pond and jumped six meters in mid-air before stomping the ground with both feet.
Bang!
The ground shook, and the walls let out some dust in free fall. Acacia was alarmed by the sound of something heavy hitting the ground. She walked out in a hurry in panic, as she thought the walls around the house might have fallen down.
However, when she arrived outside the house, she was shocked to take a step back. Her eyes widened as her mouth couldn't stop stuttering strings of syllables that couldn't form any words or sentences.
The towel in her hand falls down without her noticing. in front of her, not too far away. There lay a caved-in, five-meter-wide and two-foot-deep, basin-like low pit.
Cracks crawled around like some kind of spider net that wrapped the place in some kind of eerie magic. There at the center stood a man, a naked man, looking dumbly at the cracks and rock spurs in the earth he had made.
Looking at Acacia not far away, he suddenly found it funny and laughed. "Hahahahaha."
Damn sick! I almost demolished my house! What kind of ability is this? Magic?
