Let's make a fire, or at least try to.

So, seeing my own face... checked. Water supply... checked. Food... checked. Base... checked. Ok i should make a fire now, or at least firepit, and I shouldn't forget to check if i can look into the info about "Spirit Wells". Let's start with those "Spirit Wells" since i would forget if i didn't do that first. While flipping through the book I really found a page where it said "Spirit Well".

(The Spirit Well is an area of magic-charged liquid. They are called Spirit Wells because spirits usually live in them. There aren't many Spirit Wells in the world. But if a strong beast appears near them, the spirit will usually either drive it out or kill it completely. Stronger beasts can use lakes of magical liquid to grow stronger. However, because of the spirits, they usually do not approach them. Therefore, weaker beasts often gather around Spirit Wells. Because the spirits defend them, they usually alert the spirit of external threats.)

So if the spirit allowed me to stay there, I would be completely safe. Great to know, but it's completely useless, because the beasts won't let me there. But if I stay nearby I will be relatively safe. The only thing I have to be careful about is not to upset the spirits.

Now it's time to start the fire. I will make a fire pit first. After I made a circle of stones, I put leaves and other materials in the middle that looked like they would burn easily. Then I put sticks on all of that. Easier part of making a fire done. Now how to start the fire itself? I can try to find some flint and some other stone to make a spark with, or I could do it with that thing with stick and bow. I think i have enough strength to use the second one. I don't have a bow, and it would be easier if i used it, but i will just drill with my hands.

I went into the forest to find something to start a fire on. But along the way I was attacked by a group of rats. The more I fight the easier it is. Of course, I immediately used the "summon Tool" skill. Needles flew at me but I quickly dodged them.Then rat attacked me from the left side. It got close to me so i hit it to the head. I quickly ran to those who were at the back shooting at me. They didn't have time to escape, because I killed them all one by one.

I was picking the rats from the ground, but at that moment my eye fell on a perfect piece of bark. I tied another rat to the rope and placed the bark next to the fire pit. I took some leaves that looks flammable and put it on the bark. I took a stick and started to drill as hard as i could. I've been drilling for a while now, and I'm exhausted. I don't understand why it's so hard. I should be pretty strong right? It's useless. I guess I'll try flint and stone.

I took a stone that looked like flint from the pile of stones I brought earlier. Well, now I have to find a stone with which I can make sparks. After several attempts I found the perfect stone. After few attempts at lighting a fire later, I have a fire. Finally, fire. Actually, I haven't felt hungry since I've been here. Maybe my race can last longer without food than humans.

I didn't want to eat rats, but I have a lot of them here so I guess I don't have a choice. I untied one rat from the rope, and I put it on the stone I put next to the fireplace. The first thing I have to do is I have to put those needles away. It took longer than I expected, but finally the rat is without needles. Now I should drain the blood from the body and pull out the organs. I took the stone that felt quite sharp and for a while I put it in the fire using a metal rod to reduce the possibility of bacteria on the stone.

I took the rock and slowly ran it over the rat's belly. It was pretty easy because of my strength. I probably didn't have the right technique when I tired to lit the fire before. My hands were covered in blood as I pulled out the rat's organs. Strange.. I would have expected that, because of my weak stomach from my past life, I would vomit. But nothing. It was disgusting, but I didn't want to vomit. Nevermind. I placed the guts on the stone next to the stone i had rat on. It's time to draw out blood.I cut off the rat's head and tied it to a branch by its legs.

Now just wait until at least most of the blood comes out. In the meantime, I should wash myself. Even my robe is dirty after all the fighting and running. There were blood stains in many places and it was torn in some places. Its shame that that robe is torn, and dirty. I started taking off my clothes so i could wash in the river.

The sun has almost set and a few stars are already shining in the sky. The world around began to take on a blue tint. I slowly stepped into the river. Unexpectedly, the water wasn't cool. It was quite pleasant. In a few minutes the sun set and the whole forest fell silent. The only thing that could be heard was the crackling of the fire and the bugs that would not have been heard otherwise.

I stepped out of the river feeling refreshed. I put on my robe again. Even though it's dirty and tattered, I definitely don't want to freeze at night. Even if I have a fire a little bit away, it could be quite cold. It's time to go to bed. If i had a bed that is. Hmm, but I should somehow ensure that no beast surprises me at night. What if I use "Create servant" and create something that warns me when something approaches. I can't create anything big or for a long time yet, but if it's small and has only one purpose, it could last until morning.

When I used the "Create Servant" skill, I imagined a small rock that would scream when the beasts were near. Out of nowhere, a strange creature that looked like a stone appeared in my hand. It had sharp teeth but the eyes of a puppy. I admired it for a while before I finally put it next to where I will sleep. And a while after I lie down, I fall asleep.

I woke up to birds singing. The stone creature I created yesterday is not here. Looks like nothing attacked me last night. Even so, I've have a strange feeling since morning. Well, I can't think of anything that could be causing it. My eyes fell on the body of a rat under which there was a pool of blood. It was full of flies. I guess I understand the bad feeling. I forgot about the rat yesterday!

"Fuck!" I yell as I shoo away the flies. Then I untied the rat and threw it away. I look at the rest of the rats, which are also full of flies. I guess I'll have to eat fruit for now because I don't know how to prepare meat so it doesn't spoil. I threw out all the rats in the forest and on the way back I collected fruit which according to the (Book of Knowledge) is edible... maybe. Book says it's not poisonous so i guess it should be alright.

After I sat down by the fire, which is slowly burning out and put some more wood in it. I took first fruit. At first glance, it looked poisonous. It was purple with green flecks. And it tasted like that too. It was disgusting, but that was it. After I tasted about 5 different kinds of fruit, among which I found one that tasted like rotten meat. I tried to find other types of fruit that would at least resemble those from Earth.

I found something called Racle fruit. It is a round fruit of green color with blue round projections. It tasted like banana and strawberry at the same time. It's a strange but delicious combination. After collect a bunch of Racle fruit so I can have more for lunch, I decided to prepare some things that could be useful for hunting, etc. After hour of work, I created the knife from the stone that I used yesterday to cut open the belly of the mouse. It was a simple stone knife made of vine stick and sharp stone. Ater little bit of training i looked at my stats once again.

Oh that's pretty cool. If I upgrade that skill, it could help me survive in the wild quite a bit. By the way, all that training and fighting made me stronger. From now on, exercise will be my routine. Even if it only helps a little, it's worth it. guess I want to play around with Stone Craft more.
