Was He Looking For A Reason To Separate Them?

"Mu Feng, notify Gu Xijiu as the messenger of The Lord that she is to make the necessary preparations for auditioning The Lord's apprentice tomorrow," Di Fuyi sent a sudden message to Mu Feng. It came out of the blue. 

Mu Feng was taken by surprise. "Hasn't this matter always been under the charge of The Lord? I don't think she would…"

"Hand this mantra to her and order her to do as she is told; you four will need to guard her later. Do remind her about that." Di Fuyi then retrieved a piece of paper.

Mu Feng took the paper and just stared at his master. "Master, are you trying to pass on everything that Celestial Master Zuo does to her?"

He always thought that his master did not want to take on the identity of Celestial Master Zuo anymore and thereby wanted to shift all of his responsibilities to Gu Xijiu.

Or might it because his master did not like seeing Gu Xijiu and Long Moyan together and wanted to find a reason to separate them?
