Chapter 9 - ANYONE COULD BE a GOOD FRIEND(5)

Robinson decided to meet and talk to Juliet one on one. He went to meet Zoe to help him out as she's a close friend of Juliet.

Robinson: "Zoe, I need your help. I like Juliet so much and I don't mind being a friend until everything works out for us."

Zoe: "You mean you want more than a friend with her?"

Robinson: "Definitely but if she didn't want, then we can be friends. I just like her."

Zoe: "Alright, I'll work on it but promise me that you won't disappoint my friend."

Robinson: "I won't disappoint; trust me."

Zoe: " I'll try and talk to her though it seems that she didn't like you."

Robison: "Did she say I offended her?"

Zoe: "No, she didn't."

Robinson: "Alright."

(He went on his way)

Zoe: "Imagine a charming guy that happens to be a hot cake in my street liking someone who didn't send him. I'll try my best."

(She went into the house to pick up her bag and ordered a taxi. She went to Juliet's house since it was on Sunday. She planned to pass her night with her for Robinson to pick them up together to the office the following day).

Juliet just came back from church. She was in the kitchen preparing food when the doorbell rang.

Juliet: (She went to the door), " hold on I'm coming. Who is there?"

Zoe: "Is me, Zoe."

Juliet: "Zoe?" (She opened the door)

Zoe: "I'm back again!"

Juliet: "As usual! I wondered what your house used to do for you that makes you run from there." (Zoe burst into a laugh)

(They both went in while Zoe joined her in the kitchen)

Zoe: "Babe, I want to ask you a question."

Juliet: "Go ahead, please."

Zoe: "Is it a crime for someone to like someone?"

Juliet: "I don't think so."

Zoe: "Okay." (She pretends as if someone hurt her)

Juliet: "What's the problem now?"

Zoe: "One of my neighbors rejected a man in the presence of all other neighbors and the guy was so ashamed that he wept."

Juliet: "That's not fair, it takes some courage to approach a lady. She should have done that wisely."

Zoe: "Really? But you're also like that Juliet."

Juliet: "How? Have I ever done that?"

Zoe: "Multiple times."

Juliet: "Your fever is back again Zoe!" (She looked at her like she was seeing her for the first time)

Zoe: "What's the look for? You know I'm saying the truth."

Juliet: "Yes, you are! You can give yourself all the credits as much as you can." (They both laughed).

Zoe: "Do you believe that anyone can be a good friend Juliet?"

Juliet: "Definitely!"

Zoe: "Okay." (She takes an excuse to use the restroom).

Zoe messaged Robinson to come and pick them up to work tomorrow morning. She went back to the kitchen. The food is ready!

Juliet: "I didn't go home this weekend to avoid dad's trouble." (She smiled)

Zoe: "I think I know why but you're not ready for the conversation."

Juliet: "Yes, because I need to eat and rest."

Zoe: "I know you too well.".

Juliet: " More than myself crazy girl."

(They both laughed). After finishing eating, they both went to the kitchen to tidy up the kitchen.

Zoe: "Let me wash the plates while you rinse them."

Juliet: "Yes, boss!"

Zoe: "Who is your boss? You'll meet your real boss tomorrow at the office."

Juliet: "You don't have to remind me of that, I've done all the necessary work. You're passing a message silently."

Zoe: "Yes, before you start complaining that boss shouted at you."

(They both laughed and went back into the room)
