Chapter 12: This isn’t fun

"AHHHH IT BURNS… IT BURNS" Kashin yelled in pain struggling against his restraints he had crystal clear tears in his eyes as he struggled hard the skin on his wrists and ankles tore apart revealing pink flesh underneath.

He struggled yelled and screamed in protest trying his best to get out but all was for naught.

Tears rolled down his cheeks as he broke down trying to understand why his father was doing this to him.

It was so painful as if thousands of fire ants were underneath his skin, Thousands more biting at his bones, while acid was burning his skin.

He resisted against the shackles that blinded him to the cold metal bed but it was futile even if he pulled as hard as he could till his wrists bled.

"Quiet…I'm just opening up your pores in preparation." Yamato replied softly the light reflecting off his framed glasses.

His hands were working swiftly each slender finger precise and calculated as if he had already gone through this procedure thousands of times before.

His breathing was calm opposite to Kashin below him whose breathing was erratic and panicked whose eyes were bloodshot and wide in fear and pain.

Tiny dots minuscule ones appeared all over Kashin's body millions to even billions if anyone with trypanophobia was here they'd have a meltdown.

Yamato nodded as he stopped with the procedure.

Taking the restraints off and swiftly sending the boy down into a vat of red black and purple liquid its thickness and consistency were like blood.

An oxygen mask was firmly planted onto Kashin's face as Yamato watched his masterpiece.

The reason Yamato had forcefully opened all the pores in the Kashin body was so that his body was able to absorb the liquid properly.

The liquid was the blood of his other failed experiments, Rather than wasting resources he might as well use them to not only strengthen kashin's body but also all of his senses.

The natural energy contained the blood of his failed experiments while minor was more than enough for the current Kashin to slowly adapt to.

His body still needed to be exposed to nature's energy before he was prepared as a vessel for Yamato.

Kashin's eyes were wide open throughout this entire process he felt every bit of it, You never realize how liquid touches your skin and interacts with your pores till every single one of your pores is forced to absorb said liquid.

Every bit of the blood-thick liquid slowly and painfully fusing into his skin and flesh going through the thin flesh and into the bloodstream.

Everything hurt not to mention how disgustingly hot and sticky everything was, His skin felt like it was burning off the bone.

He wanted to struggle but he couldn't move in this liquid, he could only see just two inches from his face and that was because of the oxygen mask.

'Help me…someone…' Kashin thought hopelessly he wanted to go to sleep and hopefully the process would go faster but nothing he did quieted his restless mind.

'Before I make him my vessel…. I need this delicious fruit to ripen first and foremost.' Yamato chuckled softly to himself lost in his thoughts.

"Will you continue staring or should I play your childish game of hide and seek?" Yamato said to none in particular merely continuing to write down things on the various papers atop his desk.

"Still….as sharp as ever Devil," A slimy voice replied from the dark, The word devil slipping off its tongue like a slur.

"Well seems like you're as racist as ever." Yamato snorted in disdain rolling his eyes not taking the other person seriously.

"You…At least your sharp tongue hasn't changed." The slimy scratchy voice replied aggravated as the person carrying it walked out of the shadows.

A lanky man with long black hair that reached the middle of his back, Pureblood red eyes unlike the gentle red like Yamato and Kashin his were rather violet and clamoring for blood, Skin as pale as sheets of paper, And pointy elf-like ears that poked out, oh and five pairs of pitch black wings.

"Are we cosplaying Kokabiel?" Yamato said taking a sip of his coffee not even meeting the eyes of the fallen angel much to his anger.

"Cosplaying? What're you talking-"

"You're dressed like Dracula from Wish get a wardrobe change by Christ." Yamato meant it taking the damage of saying the name head-on.

"I-….You fucking…" Kokabial was enraged his wings unfurling behind him as a red aura pressed down upon Yamato.

It was Kokabial's 'light energy' or just 'magical presence' putting immense pressure upon Yamato.

Against any other high-class devil, they would've instantly been crushed and kneeled but Yamato didn't even flinch.

With not even a trace of fear or apprehension in his eyes Yamato said coldly and unimpressed "Are you done with your little tantrum?"

"I'm not the person you disappointed kokabial, I'm not your daddy stop trying to impress me with a light show," he replied ruthlessly to the fallen Ange.

Kokabial growled retracting his presence "I'm not here to argue Yamato have you done what I've asked? I need the device."

Yamato looked up at the fallen angel finally making eye contact with his partner, He nodded before looking back down to his papers.

"I have, It should be safe and running…well come along." He sighed getting up as he gestured for Kokabiel to follow him who obliged.

"This device will kill the beings it's used on correct?" Kokabiel said after some silence while following Yamato, already used to the countless beasts and monsters imprisoned in the vast almost endless seas of cages.

"It will… it'll be quick and seamless hopefully I can't promise it won't be painful… you know me and hey…sometimes mishaps happen~." Yamato chuckled.

"Of course, I know how you are you damn monster," Kokabiel replied in disgust seemingly even he found Yamato as a ruthless person.

"Oh please…We are both monsters here, though I'm curious as to why you'd want something like this." Yamato inquired a bit his expression one of wonder.

"Hmph….It's a sacred gear extraction of course I would want it, to breed more chaos, to make war, to spill blood that becomes raging rivers, to bathe in the blood of all other inferior races Of course something like this would do me a favor." Kokabiel replied his voice deep and brimming with bloodlust.

Yamato snorted in disdain 'Frog at the bottom of a well.' what was the point of war when it did nothing for yourself?

To Yamato superiority or inferiority of race didn't matter as long as they were a useful and obedient instrument to himself does any of it matter?

"Still as insane as ever I see," Yamato remarked as they stopped in front of a set of rusted metal doors.

The door swings open revealing an incredible treasure room, filled to the brim with ancient artifacts and futuristic technology.

The room is lined with shelves, each holding a different treasure from beautiful ornate jewelry and weapons to high-tech gadgets and machines.

Books lined the top shelves and countless extermination objects were scattered across the hard wooden floor, most if not all of them as far as the eye could see were failed ones or prototypes.

Kokabiel wasn't surprised by this he had been here hundreds of times and knew this place like the back of his hand.

That's why he was able to enter this place even though he wasn't a senjutsu master.

Yamato randomly grabbed a gadget from the top shelf before handing it to Kokabiel "Here."

It was in the shape of a normal human index finger with a sharp edge but the materials it was made up of were anything but normal.

The tip was a pure imperial gold straight from Mountain Olympus which reflected any light shining off it, An intricate design of snakes wrapped from the tip to the bottom in black, Below the tip was made from pure Celestine bronze.

Kokabiel's attached it to his index finger "You sure this will work? You know I'm risking…Many things by working with a snake like you." He hissed out.

"You were the one who proposed to work together in the first place but no I'm sure this will work fine…just don't be an idiot when using it, Just infuse your light energy into it and you'll understand how to use it."

Kokabiel nodded 'Perfect…with this I'll be able to extract any sacred gear I come across....Azazel just wait you bastard I'll prove to you I was correct.' his musings were stopped by Yamato snapping his fingers.

"I want new experimental objects, Hold up your end of the deal kokabiel, or else." Kokabiel nodded.

"They'll be sent to you shortly."

An orange-reddish-haired young man had his face pressed against the vat of blood Kashin was stored in, His eyes were a vibrant green and he seemed to be 2-3 years older than Kashin.

"A new servant?… What does lord Yamato want with this guy….? I'm the only vessel that lord Yamato needs why has he gotten this thing…." He whispered to himself angrily his fists clenched in annoyance.

"No, I'm…the first and foremost….Lord Yamato wouldn't abandon me…"
