The Beginning

??? POV:

You know, Many people say that flags can be a big fat b*tch, they weren't lying. You might be wondering, why am I talking to myself, floating aimlessly in the dark depths of the abyss contemplating how the hell we got here in the first place? Well, it all happened 7 hours ago.

~3 hours ago~

??? POV:

My name is Gary Swanson, I'm a sophomore at XX College in the year 2052, my parents named me Gary cause they were fans of Gary Valenciano in the Philippines and they believed that if they named me Gary, I can be one of those Gary stu Mc's they watched in their animes they watched in when they were children. and my little sister was named Mary for the same reason.

Anyways, I'm a sophomore college student and a few days later our class will graduate and become juniors. I'm on my way to the school area, and I found Terry a close friend of mine up ahead. "Terry! wait for me, man." I shouted, he looked behind and saw me "Sup Gary, how you doin' in the last few days?" he asked "Fine, just the usual stuff" I reply, and we continued to chat for a while going towards the school.

Arriving at the entrance, we split ways as our classes were different from each other. and suddenly I saw a small child crossing the road to catch the balloon, being ignorant of the oncoming traffic just to the side of her.

'Not today SATAN!' I thought to myself as I rushed to save the child. jumping towards her, I tackled her to safety and successfully saved the child. The mother shortly came after the incident bowed and thanked me vigorously as I received the thanks graciously, I check the time and it was almost time for the event, I rushed towards the venue and was barely on time.

"Whoo!" I relaxed, 'made it in time!'. After a successful evening, we happily moved up to being juniors (3rd years), after the event my family went home to dine on at a rather exquisite restaurant. After dinner, I walked back to my apartment, which I rented, 'There's nothing that can go wrong today' I thought to myself, as I hummed happily walking back home.

3rd person POV:

In a space station orbiting the earth, an astronaut was doing a routine checkup on the space station and a sudden turn of the space station made the astronaut off balance and drop a 3-star dragon ball replica and it began to descend. "Well, that ain't good, hopefully, someone doesn't die because of that, Ehh, I can just get it back once I'm down there, I specifically ordered that in the RnD department to be made out of meteorite to make it survive this fall. Haaah, it's gonna be a pain though." Said the astronaut."Uhh sir, is he okay? He's been murmuring to himself for a minute now." A young man said to his boss.

"Ehh, leave him alone, he's been like that since the beginning." Said the middle-aged man "Oii Midorya GET YOUR ASS MOVING! YOUR WASTING OXYGEN OUT THERE!" Shouted the captain. This seemed to snap the astronaut back to reality "Yes Sir! On my way back!" He shouted through the comms and immediately went back to the space station.

Gary POV

As I'm nearing my apartment, I noticed a bright light in the sky, I stood there dumbfounded as the small ball of fire became smaller and smaller, and before I realised it, it was already closing in on me. I snap back to reality and immediately ran away making sure that I won't get hit by the blazing round object. As I was running I suddenly tripped on a pebble and hit my knee on concrete. As the object was nearing me, I started to crawl, hoping that it was enough distance away from the object. I positioned myself to face the sky and immediately saw that it was still falling in my general direction.

Seeing that I'm going to die, I thought to myself 'Might as well make it funny' And did the Yamcha pose before the object hit me? I close my eyes readying myself but all I heard was a loud boom, I opened my eyes and saw the mess of debris that was scattered around me, car alarms blaring at surrounding my general area. I get back up and got near to the crater.

I saw a mid-sized hole etched in the ground, I sighed resting my guard and laughed at the crater "HAH! NOT TODAY SATAN!" And started laughing like a madman, and then I heard a voice behind me "Oh really? Why don't you check the time on your watch?" I looked behind and saw nothing. But Ichecked my watch and saw that it was 11:59 pm, and a second later it became 12:00 am.

Cautiously I looked around and tried to see if there was anything out to kill me, but seeing nothing I shrugged my shoulders and walked one step and suddenly I blacked out.

3rd Person POV Space Station:

As the Astronaut named Midorya was nearing the entrance another dragon ball seemingly seeped out of his pocket and before he realized it, the dragonball was already on its way to enter Earth's orbit. "God Damn-" But before he could continue his superior officer shouted in the comms "WHAT'S TAKING SO LONG YOU SLAKER!!" "Eep, Sorry Sir!" He rushed to enter the space station"

Gary POV in the Abyss:

Yep, that's all I remember, and now I'm floating in the abyss aimlessly. Suddenly I heard a voice "Would you like to go again in life?" A female voice asked I searched around looking for the origin of the voice, but there was nothing I could see except the black surroundings near me. Then I felt a tap behind me, looking behind me I could see an individual covered in brightness. "So would you like to go again?" The being asked. "Hell no!" I said to the being, "Hahhh?!" said the confused being.

Hello! It's a me Lagz, this is my first chapter of DBX Rebirth, I searched the title on the internet to see if there were any other titles the same as mine, but so far there weren't any so imma keep it for now. Anywho Sorry for the unexpected hiatus, I was trying to get the new chap of Yugioh invoked magician, but I got writer's block, and a bunch of things happened and I couldn't upload a chapter for a while, but imma focus on this fanfic first tho, to gain some experience writing stories. anyways this is Lagz signing off for now see you next chap!
