'It makes more sense this way'

The numerical gap between Zes and Mushro was too wide for them to be able to fight evenly, no matter how adaptable Mushro was.

'After all, if Kiddo punched me using all the ki it absorbed, it would be able to match one of my punches if I didn't use any ki at all, provided it didn't explode in the process. This doesn't make Kiddo on the same level as me, it just means it can temporarily match my force output'

Broly felt like a blockage in his brain had been cleared and his understanding of ki deepened.

Broly removed the towel that was on his neck and started doing some stretches.

'Unlike the other Saiyans, I haven't been pushed at all by the Robots'

Broly had the only convincing victory in the entire tournament. Every other fight was either close or had taken out both participants.

"You couldn't have scripted a more dramatic finale! Both the Saiyans and the Tufffles are down to their last fighter! Who will claim victory? Find out after this short break!" Dr Announcer announced, reading his cue cards.

The Tsufurians in the crowd cheered energetically, hyperactive after the ups and downs of the last fight.

"Break?" Broly said aloud.

Zes was currently in the Tsufurian camp where an angry Dr Barrel was barking orders at several Tuffles who hurriedly operated on Zes, having already melted its ice armour.

FWOOOOSH!

Multiple guard Hatchiyak's all collaborated together and produced a huge heat blanket over the stage, the blue fire melting and evaporating the water in seconds. A wave of heat hit everyone in the arena but it quickly subsided.

Broly waited at the foot of the stage on the Saiyan side patiently, somewhat confused at why the Tuffles were given prep time for the final fight.

Queen Nana also mirrored Broly's confusion and cast curious eyes to her ministers who effectively acted as event planners. They all gave back equally confused looks back.

Dr Announcer was also puzzled at why the next fight hadn't already started and received perplexed looks from the crowd.

'He's going on again' Broly thought pre-emptively as Dr Announcer went on tangent after tangent.

A few minutes later Zes finally made his way onto the stage, looking as shiny as when he was first revealed, all signs of denting now gone.

"Fight!" the announcer yelled hurriedly, finally taking a break.

Feelings of anticipation welled up inside of Broly but he composed himself, he had a specific plan in mind. He wanted to push himself and learn from the fight as all he had going for him was his strength and speed, no technique.

Dr Console sat up in his seat this time, paying careful attention to the Saiyan.

'These Saiyans are like elastic bands, the more force you apply the more they stretch'

Several gun-like blasters appeared, mounted on Zes' wrists and shoulders.

'That is why it is necessary to change the type of force you apply'

"So cool!"

The crowd cheered as the Zes continued to change forms.

'I definitely need to talk to Dr Console' Broly thought, also admiring the blasters.

BYUUUUM!

Several long orange ki beams arced their way to Broly, flying through the air.

Broly stared down the beams that approached him, watching them come towards his body in slow motion. The beams collided with Broly, producing another sharp hissing sound as it roared against Broly's shirtless chest.

'It seems Zes' ki has flame properties, it burns against my skin like a fire whereas the other Saiyans' ki is just volatile, mine being more explosive than theirs. Does that mean that the properties change depending on who's ki it is?'

Broly ended up with more questions than answers when he felt Zes' attack hit him.

Dr Console guffawed.

'He didn't even try to dodge?' he thought, now changing his strategy.

Broly had no marks on him and he waved away the subsiding heat from the attack.

Zes approached Broly, rushing him down and swung a quick punch. Broly easily tilted his head, dodging it completely. Zes followed up with another punch but Broly took a step back and Zes whiffed. Zes then tried multiple to times land a hit on Broly but he effortlessly dodged and at one point Broly even closed his eyes.

Broly didn't know it but as his excitement grew from the fight, so did the ki in his body, quickly reproducing pushing him to his max state. Broly was busy analysing the Robot's actions and didn't pay attention to this.

Dr Console was maddened by this as it seemed that he was fighting a ghost.

'Don't tell me the youngest one is the most powerful! Agility must be his only strength!' Dr Console thought reassuringly.

'It's not even a competition when it comes down to agility, I'll slow down to slightly under its level'

As Broly had trained for the vast majority of his life without ki, his control over his body was watertight, he was able to accurately judge and limit his strength and agility down to a percentile.

'Hmmm, about 25% of my actual speed, not bad for a machine I guess' Broly thought, slightly disappointed in Zes who attacked him sluggishly.

Broly at this speed was not able to dodge Zes' attacks and so he received a proper punch to the forehead.

'If I power to max with all my ki, I'll just be disappointed' Broly thought, allowing some ki to be drawn into his stores.

Broly couldn't hide his disappointment, he had simply expected much more from the Robot and was more than upset, realising that it just could not meet any of his expectations.

Broly and Zes' fists collided.

'22% of my strength? Really? Not even a quarter!' Broly was now visibly annoyed, he felt like he had his time completely wasted. He had seen Aspa, Celery and even Paragus make consecutive breakthroughs yet what was supposed to be an impassable obstacle turned out to be a toy in his hands.

Broly took a deep breath, hiding his discomfort.

'At least I can get a zenkai boost from this' he thought optimistically, forcing a smile.

Dr Console was exasperated.

He had tried every trick in the book yet he still couldn't attack Broly.

Whenever he punched, Broly would always match his attack in angle and strength, causing damage to the surface of Zes. Whenever he blasted ki, Broly tanked it and strolled forward leisurely as if he was in his own house and he could see Broly trying to hide his disappointment at how weak his Robot was. He knew that Ice Zes would just break under any of Broly's punches so he was at a loss on how to beat him.

Dr Console for the first time in his life was about to lose.

This pushed Dr Console over the edge.

"Fine! If you don't want to go down, I'll force you to go down!" he said revealing his final trump card.
