Mushro Vs Zes (43)

Dr Console yawned as he sat back in his gaming chair.

'Another old man for me to stomp' he thought as he readied his command board.

Mushro walked up to Zes confidently, he had already seen its tricks during its fight with Paragus so he was sure he couldn't be caught off guard.

'You can only programme a robot to do so much' Broly thought, looking at the fight broadcasted on TV.

If Zes had ki absorption capabilities then Broly would be worried but it seemed that Kiddo was a one of a kind robot in that regard.

'Zes completely outmatches Mushro in every field but I still have a feeling, he has a chance at winning' Broly thought optimistically, from what he had seen there was something about Saiyans that meant when they were pushed to a certain point, they grew astronomically.

A brief thought flashed at the back of Dr Console's mind.

'It seems that anger is a trigger for the Saiyans, the other Saiyans got angry and their power levels skyrocketed. The same didn't happen for Paragus because he wasn't angry, that fighting junkie was even smiling as Zes jumped up and down on him.'

The thought appeared in his mind like a revelation.

Most robots just for the fun of it had trash-talking capabilities and Dr Controller actively disabled them to ensure no surprises took place.

Mushro looked at the Robot who stood motionlessly, almost de-activated, and his eyes couldn't help deviating towards Queen Nana who looked down on him with affection, a warmness he couldn't explain present in her eyes.

'Round Start: Ice Field'

Dr Console pushed different buttons this time and Zes instead took a knee, leaving only one foot on the ground.

Mushro reacted quickly.

"Beam Barrage!"

In a bold move, Mushro decided to spend some of his ki early, firing multiple beams of white concentrated ki at the Zes. The beams jostled and jived through the air, quickly bridging the distance and exploded fiercely, creating a white smokescreen.

Dr Console frowned as he saw his Robot had taken damage.

'The startup on this move is too long, I'll have to tweak it later'

Out of the explosion, a layer of ice covered the whole width of the stage, rapidly approaching Mushro.

Mushro flew into the sky, not hesitating at all and fired a single large slow-moving ki blast to the stage.

BOOM!

Upon collision, shards and flakes of ice flew everywhere but the solid stage sat smoothly, staying uncracked even under fire from Mushro.

Not even a second later, ice recovered the exposed spot, slowing growing thicker and thicker.

'I always forget they can fly' Dr Console thought passingly.

Two long night-black wings emerged from Zes and with a single flap, he was propelled high into the sky, rapidly approaching Mushro.

Mushro had already thrown ki at Zes and he knew while it did damage, it wasn't worth spending, especially when that was the only means he had to fly. He gathered his strength and flew towards Zes decisively.

Arms clashed between them, not providing the other with enough space to throw a punch.

Zes' wings flapped gently behind it as it stared across at Mushro.

Mushro's brain began to work, thinking of a hundred ways to get an advantage.

A second later Mushro disappeared.

'He copied Aspa's technique!' Broly thought, visibly impressed. Broly himself had to wrack his brain to figure it out and was fairly certain Aspa had dedicated a ton of time to learn it. A Saiyan with experience was a scary thing.

Mushro appeared behind Zes, his back facing Zes' and backflipped acrobatically kicking Zes, bang on the head, the force knocking his body down. Mushro then aligned himself and stopped levitating, gravity resumed effect and he fell down, driving both his legs into the chest of Zes who's back landed harshly on the ice, its wings taking visible damage as it was smashed.

Dr Console gritted his teeth.

The crowd roared at Mushro's display, thinking that he was almost glamorising his attacks on purpose.

"Big mistake Saiyan," he muttered.

The ice on the ground like a parasite, quickly grew on Zes, crawling onto it from both sides, inches away from Mushro's feet.

Mushro's eyes widened and he quickly leapt into the air, the ice barely missing his feet.

'Close call!' Mushro thought relieved.

He looked down, his vision browsing Zes' new form.

'This is Ice Zes!' Dr Console thought as he couldn't stop a wide smile from growing.

'This Dr Console guy is genius! He actually managed to manipulate ice in such a fashion! I thought about it before but I didn't think it was possible! I definitely need to talk to him before I build my ship!' Broly geeked out as he saw the ice armour on the Robot, completely forgetting that this was the same man who assaulted his father. His urge to fight grew even more as he restlessly moved about the room, shadowboxing.

Zes' black surface was now unable to be seen, in its place, opaque solid white ice armour spiked shortly from its surface. Zes' entire body seemed to be coated in small icy spikes, the little shards protruding in every direction.

Zes then stretched out its arm and from its icy grip, and two-meter long broadsword formed.

'It's a wrap' Dr Console thought.

Zes flew high into the sky, his wings now encased in ice flapping even harder and swung his sword precisely at Mushro.

A small smile formed on Mushro's face.

'Finally a challenge!'

Mushro barely ducked the slash and punched Zes' chest, his fist being cut by the sharp ice.

Zes' sword produced a loud hissing sound as it cut air cleanly.

'Let me put my back into it!'

Mushro shifted his waist, flooded his fist with ki and punched directly at Zes' solar plexus.

Zes, who was about to hit Mushro with a downward slash, stopped abruptly as the impact shuddered through him. Mushro used this opening and pounded Zes, cracking the icy surface and denting the metallic armour underneath.

Zes back dashed and waved its sword at Mushro, daggers of ice flying towards him.

Mushro didn't have time to dodge or reflect and so he could only raise his arms, blocking his chest.

Zes dashed forward and landed a strong thrust with the sword to Mushro's chest, it then followed through with a downwards slash.

CRACK!

The ice sword shattered all over Mushro's body who put up a ki barrier around his body in order to not get frozen.

Zes then prepared another punch which was matched in angle by Mushro who was covered in ki.

The two continued to exchange punches in the air, eventually clashing kicks and fought evenly.

"This freak is growing stronger as he fights as well!" Dr Console cursed as he rapidly mashed to keep up with Mushro. He was upset because he mathematically was supposed to hold a distinct advantage and even after using one of his trump cards he still couldn't overpower the Saiyan.

Furthermore, Mushro was sporting the cheesiest grin he had ever in his life.

Dr Console quickly realised how punchable Mushro's face truly was.

'Maybe I won't need to fight after all'

Broly watched Mushro evenly exchange blows with Zes, going punch for punch.

'Oh wait'

Mushro suddenly started falling, hitting the ice below in seconds.

'He can still run out of ki'

Although it appeared to be an even fight, Mushro had to, and was doing so unconsciously, spend much more ki than Zes to keep up. This rapid spending had finally declined.

Mushro hit the ice with a crunch and it quickly enveloped him totally, he was completely dumbfounded with his descent, a look of profound confusion present on his face.

Dr Console looked through Zes at Mushro dumbfoundedly as he spontaneously won the fight.

'He did well' Queen Nana thought, closing her eyes as the Medic Robots rushed to Mushro who was freezing over.

"What an ending!" Dr Announcer started.
