Grandmaster's Training (Part 1/?).

The next day, early in the morning Tang Ming opened his eyes from the meditation and took a deep breath.

Last night was quite uneventful if he say so as he and Zhu Zhuqing won their single team match very easily. As it was the first time they both were teaming up, their co-ordination at first was very crude. But during the match the co-ordination between them kept improving over time.

Their battle was against two Spirit Grandmaster of 28-th level as Tang Ming put an illusion to make himself to look like he was also a 29-th level Spirit Grandmaster. Zhu Zhuqing alone fought the both of them as Tang Ming didn't help her much. At first it was quite hard for her to fight against two spirit grandmaster but once Tang Ming engaged one to give her chance to fight one alone she defeated him in seconds. And fought the other after Tang Ming retreated.

Tang Ming also gave her some points on how to defeat them more easily, after which they both came back to the academy.

And after coming back, the first thing he did was to teleport himself to the mansion he had built in the Nuoding City forest near the pond where he usually trains and assimilated the three bloodline that he collected in his body. And he can say he was very satisfied with the gains as he got three new abilities.

The ability he gained from Titan Giant Ape bloodline is 'Gravity Manipulation', which he doesn't need to explain.

The ability he gained from Xiao Wu's bloodline can be said to very overpowered. He gained a very high affinity and a slight insight into the Dao Of Nothingness. He didn't gained any active ability like he got from Titan Giant Ape's bloodline but it can help him in the long term after he reached Titled Douluo. As he didn't want to inherit anyone's God Position and wanted to create one for himself, his affinity with Nothingness will help him immensely in long term.

And the lastly assimilating 'Battle Saint Ape' bloodline gave him the 'Domain of the Battle Saint', which when unleashing covers an area of 100m and gave him an increase of 100% in all his attributes and his allies an increase of 50%.

He was quite satisfied with all the ability he gained from the three bloodline.

Now he can increase the gravity by five times in a radius of 10m around him without straining himself but it will improve over time.

And now he can fully confidently say that he was invincible under anyone below Spirit Sage/Saint.

After sorting out everything, Tang Ming got up and washed himself in the pond. He was not in a hurry as he knew that everyone would just be waking up now. He wore his signature platinum coloured suit and teleported himself back to his room in Shrek Academy.

As he walked out of his room, he can sense a person in his Observation Haki passive range, sitting up on one of the house's roof. He didn't need to guess as who can it be, as only Tang San wakes up so early in the morning to cultivate his Purple Demon Eyes and Mysterious Heaven Technique.

Tang San also opened his eyes as he sensed Tang Ming and got down from the roof.

"Xiao San, let's go to cafeteria. Teacher must be there cooking for us." Tang Ming smiled slightly as Tang San also nodded with smile. This was not the first time Grandmaster cooked for them, as when they were still in Nuoding Junior Spirit Master Academy he used to cook food for them occasionally.

When they arrived at the canteen, Tang Ming found that there were already a few people in there.

Ma Hongjun, Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing were already there. He was a little surprised to find them so early in the cafeteria as they usually wake up quite late especially Xiao Wu and Ma Hongjun.

"Teacher, your cooking is so good!" Xiao Wu said while stuffing her face with with a steamed bun.

The other people were also gobbling up the food quickly.

Even Ning Rongrong, who was quite picky about food, was eating with lavishly as she kept gnawing while holding a chicken leg lightly.

Zhu Zhuqing on the side was also doing the same and was eating the dishes quickly as if the food might disappear the next moment.

Ma Hongjun was the one who was eating in the most exaggerated way as he kept wolfing down the food like an animal while holding two pieces of chicken legs in each of his hands. There were also quite a few empty plates in front of him signifying how much he had already ate.

The main reason they are eating so much was because the food cooked by Grandmaster was very delicious as it was one of the skill Grandmaster can really claim that he is a 'Grandmaster' in. And normally the food prepared by villagers didn't taste very delicious. They were already fed up with the food of the cafeteria only after a week. And even when Tang San and Dai Mubai went to Flender to request him to hire a good cook, he said, 'This is for your own good. By eating the food of cafeteria, I'm training you all to adjust in any situation you encounter.' That cheapskate of a Dean said with a righteous face and shooed them both away.

Tang Ming also walked over and sat beside Zhu Zhuqing and also ate his breakfast. Not long after Dai Mubai and Oscar also came.

"You all should eat as much as you can. A spirit master also needs a strong body other than spirit power." Grandmaster encouraged everyone to eat more as he continued, "And for a strong body, in addition to training, it also needs a good amount of food to keep you fully energized. From now on I'll make breakfast for you all every day. But everyone should be present at six 'o 'clock and if you are late and didn't come and eat, I'll throw them away. So always be on time otherwise you didn't need to come." Grandmaster said with a gentle smile. But for everyone it was anything but gentle.

Everyone except Tang Ming and Tang San was distressed after hearing this as they usually slept till late morning.

Especially Xiao Wu, Ning Rongrong and Ma Hongjun expression turned one eighty degree as they looked like someone had killed their mother. But they didn't say anything though. Ning Rongrong had already learned to not question the teacher's decision from the last time.

Everyone nodded solemnly. After half an hour all eight of them was done eating.

At this time the sky has also brightened as the sun also rose high up in the sky and the soft sunlight was spread everywhere.

The eight people then made their way to the academy's square. Grandmaster was already standing there alone.

"Starting today, I will conduct special intensive training for all of you." Grandmaster glanced at everyone sharply and his gaze finally stopped at Tang Ming as he said, "Tang Ming, you are out of this for the time being."

"Now Dai Mubai, you come out first." Grandmaster said.

Dai Mubai walked out without any delay.

"You are a 37th-level Spirit Elder, now you will fight against Tang San first. Tang San, you too come out. And also you can't use your hidden weapons." Grandmaster called Tang San and also forbid him to use any hidden weapons in the fight.

Tang San nodded and walked forward standing some 10m away from Dai Mubai.

"Teacher, isn't it unfair for Tang San. My spirit power is higher than him." Dai Mubai asked with confusion.

"There's nothing fair in this world. What would you do when your opponent in a battlefield wanted to kill you and has higher spirit level than you? Would saying that it is unfair can save your life? So a spirit master should be ready to face any challenges and difficulties."

They both then nodded their head and stood in position as Grandmaster said :

"Start!"

Next moment, the two immediately rushed toward each other and started fighting.

Tang Ming at the side was also watching the fight very attentively. The fight was not much different from what he had imagined.

Although Dai Mubai has higher spirit power but as a power attack system spirit master, he was inherently weak against Xiao San, who was a control system spirit master as he naturally restrained him.

If he can't get rid of the Blue Silver Grass or evade it, you will just play right into his hands.

More so over when the Blue Silver Grass has absorbed the spirit ring of Man Faced Demon Spider, which enhanced its toughness and poison very greatly. After getting injected with the poison of Blue Silver Grass, the speed of getting paralysed has also became extremely fast.

Tang San immediately retracted his Blue Silver Grass and also used his spirit to take out the toxin from Dai Mubai's body.

Dai Mubai was really upset. First because of Zhu Zhuqing going to Tang Ming's room at night alone and then again today, at losing to someone whose spirit level is even lower than him.

Grandmaster also sensed Dai Mubai's mood as he said :

"You don't have to be upset about losing to a control type spirit master. As an attack type spirit master what you most fear is encountering a control type spirit master as it inherently restrains you." Grandmaster said.

"Below level sixty, the control type spirit master can said to be strongest in one on one battle. You can easily win against Tang San, but do you know why you lost? It's because you underestimated your opponent because if his lower spirit power. You thought you have more spirit power so you can easily breakthrough all of Tang San's Blue Silver Grass forcefully head on using brute force. But you severely underestimated the toughness of Blue Silver Grass and also overestimated your own strength. The most correct approach you have just now is to avoid being trapped and restrained and wait for the opponent's spirit power to be consumed. And as an attack type spirit master you can't do this as your spirit power will be depleted before your opponent. So that's why you need the co-operation of companions." Grandmaster slowly explained.

"Your method of facing and forcefully breaking through can only be achieved when you have enough strength to directly crush your opponent."

The Grandmaster said in a deep voice, "Next, Tang San will fight Zhu Zhuqing. Dai Mubai you will fight against the combination of Ma Hongjun and Oscar later after taking a rest."

Dai Mubai nodded his head and sat down beside a tree to recover.

Zhu Zhuqing and Tang San walked out as they both nodded at each other. The Grandmaster then looked at Tang San and said, " Tang San, this time you won't use your third spirit ability."

Tang San nodded his head in approval as he knew Zhu Zhuqing still hasn't reached Spirit Elder and obtained her third spirit ring.

But at this time Zhu Zhuqing suddenly said, "Teacher, you can let Tang San use his third spirit ring ability."

Grandmaster didn't say anything as he only frowned for moment and then nodded his head at Tang San who was waiting for his decision.

"What's wrong with Zhuqing? Why did she suddenly asked teacher to let brother San use his third spirit ring?" At the side Ning Rongrong asked curiously to Xiao Wu. Xiao Wu also didn't knew anything and can only shook her head.

The others people also looked puzzled as they looked at each other.

Only Tang Ming was staring at Zhu Zhuqing and a small smile at his lips.

"Start!"

At the Grandmaster signal, they both immediately attacked each other. Tang San immediately used his first spirit ring ability as the first yellow ring beneath his feet lit up and he said :

"Blue Silver Grass! Binding!"

Tang San didn't wait for Zhu Zhuqing and used his first spirit ring as countless vines emerged from the ground and launched toward Zhu Zhuqing.

Zhu Zhuqing as an agility system spirit master was more nimble and agile than Dai Mubai and avoided the Blue Silver Grass binding. She kept appearing and disappearing trying to dodge all the vines sprouting from the grounds.

On the other hand, Tang San kept using his vines to attack Zhu Zhuqing. Numerous vines kept emerging from ground covering all the area making it harder for Zhu Zhuqing to have less room to move around.

Grandmaster at the side was also looking at the fight with full attention. He can only shook his head secretly, Zhu Zhuqing did a good job in avoiding the vines, which is a better decision than Dai Mubai's frontal attack.

But as he said before, below level sixty it is very hard for someone to win against a control type spirit master in one on one battle.

There is only one way to defeat a control system spirit master and that is to get close to him. But that nearly impossible unless you have the ability to teleport.

But what confused him more is, that even when Tang San showed a few opening to attack, she didn't attacked him and just kept dodging.

At this time as the area kept getting smaller, Zhu Zhuqing was pushed into a corner. Tang San seeing this chance immediately used his first spirit ring ability again.

"Binding!"

He was also puzzled by Zhu Zhuqing behaviour but didn't think much about it.

Just as the vine struck toward Zhu Zhuqing.

Suddenly at this moment, Zhu Zhuqing placed her hand on the approaching vine and extremely swiftly front flipped and stood up on the vine as her lip curled a little.

Grandmaster seeing this was surprised as his eyes opened wide after he finally guessed what Zhu Zhuqing was planning all along.

Immediately after the two spirit rings lit up and rose up from her feets as she said :

"Hell Rush Stab!!"

"Hell Hundred Claws!!"

Her speed instantly doubled as she vanished from her place and appeared in front of Tang San and as she launched the barrage of claws attack at him trying to hit him.

Tang San was also startled for a moment as he also didn't expect Zhu Zhuqing to avoid his attack and launch a counter attack so swiftly.

Only at the last did he managed to dodge the attack by a hair's breadth as he leaned backward at ninety degree and that too because of his Purple Demon Eyes which he activated at the last moment.

Zhu Zhuqing's was also surprised as she didn't expect Tang San to dodge her surprised counter attack. But before she can even gain a regain her footing.

"Cobweb Binding!"

Tang San suddenly said at the same moment he leaned backward to avoid as he threw his hand toward Zhu Zhuqing. His third purple coloured spirit ring immediately lit up and rose from his foot. He didn't want to take any chances and immediately used his third spirit ring this time.

Zhu Zhuqing didn't even have the chance to avoid as she was immediately caught in numerous vines which formed like a spider's cobweb and was trapped.

"You both can stop now." Grandmaster at this time said. He was really impressed by her thinking as she was just a single step away from winning.
