chapter 15 : the big quarrel and first snowfall

Now tell me what happened, I want the truth " the principal said with a firm tone after they got back from class , the damage they did to the teaching hall wasn't too much but the principal was a man who hated when people fought mainly destroying the school's property " he attacked me first and it's not bad to retaliate" silver replied with a nonchalant tone while the vampire whose name happened to be " Nero" he had an proud expression on his face but deep within him he was hurt not expecting that the strike to hit so quickly and precise " you mean you didn't do anything to upset him?" Principal asked, knowing fully well that silver wasn't the troublemaker but he still wasn't sure about Nero even if he looked like a proud and spoiled child.

" What about you?" The principal asked looking at Nero who didn't answer at first but after a few seconds did " I can't answer questions from you" Nero finally said in a low tone with his pride still showing on his face which irritated the both of them " look here you proud swine , mind your words even if you are a recommended by lady may that doesn't give you the right to be mannerless" principal said releasing a strong pressure which pushed Nero to the ground putting him on his knees, silver sulked in cold breath thanking his lucky stars that it wasn't him in that situation if not he didn't know the kind of condition his knees would have been going through.

" Silver you will be forgiven about this issue but Nero , you'll have to bear a little punishment " principal said dismissing silver who left happily going to his workspace to continue his progress

Silver arrived at his workspace and noticed Alexa inside tapping her right foot on the ground angrily giving a rhythm which meant nothing but anger " can you properly explain what happened in the lecture hall?" Alexa asked, looking at him with an angry expression but Silver didn't find it much of a problem walking to his seat" why did you keep it a secret from me?" Alexa asked getting more and more angry seeing his nonchalant attitude towards her " I wanted to tell you when the time was right" silver lied not looking at her putting his attention on the project he was working on and annoyed her more causing her to Punch the table the core was on causing a large crack to appear on the nucleus and this action enraged silver who didn't know what to do that instant, Alexa who wasn't satisfied with what she didn't wanted to grab the core but silver held her hand and almost punched her in the face stopping a few inches from her face

" So you have grown strength to the extent of hitting me? Do you know how much I had...….." Alexa was interrupted by Silver who was visibly angry " what the hell do you want to say about what you went through!?" Silver snapped angrily looking into her eyes and she had a shocked expression not expecting him to shout at her because he had never shouted at her since they became friends and now he looked as if he was going to attack at any moment

" You better leave" silver said in an angry tone " you know what, I'll leave but Know this what you did today have cut all the ties we had " Alexa said as they got to the door " remember lock the door behind you" silver said nonchalantly as he continued what he was doing while Alexa jammed the door behind her

Five months later

Silver opened his eyes looking at the window noticing the winter had already set In , he tried to stand up from the bed but he was too relaxed to move 

The winter had already set In but that didn't mean that he wouldn't attend school that alone was the reason why he wanted to leave the bed if not he would have stayed a little longer , he felt he was forgetting something very important but like always it was still blank and hard for him to remember

He managed to leave the bed and took a very cold bath before putting on his uniform and a cotton sweater which only shielded him from the cold he wore because he could easily shield himself from the cold with his essence. The past five months wasn't different for silver who spent all his time training with Lola who was impressed with his growth , he managed to learn all the techniques she passed to him and but he couldn't make large progress in getting to the next level of cultivation

the cultivation was divided into different stages; essence collection, core formation,  soul formation, spirit formation ,novice,master , grandmaster , overload, king , emperor/empress, sage , venerable, earth , heaven and god rank making it fifteen ranks that people would have to cross to become stronger and the higher one goes the harder it is to cross through apparently he was stuck in the novice second rank after all his effort and training.

" The first snowfall of the year,so wonderful Lola said with all smiles in her face dropping two cups of hot cocoa drink on the table before noticing silver coming down from the stairs with a gloomy expression which wasn't right as it was his favorite part of the year " are you alright?" Lola asked looking at his sad expression " I'm fine" silver replied as he took the cup of hot cocoa and began to take little sips " let me guess it's because your girlfriend didn't come to give you the morning winter kiss ? By the way you still haven't told me what happened to you both and I hate being in the dark '' Lola said with a smile which had mockery and her eyes were filled with curiosity . that was when he remembered what he was forgetting, Alexa usually sneak from her home every first snow fall to hang out with him and Lola but that seemed not to be happening that year since she and silver had refused to settle up,lola had been asking him what happened between them since she noticed he wasn't around her the way they used to be, silver on his part didn't answer, always saying nothing happened to them.

Silver remained quiet sipping it slowly looking very into the cup" I'll take silence as a yes " Lola said referring to her  first question " no , I'm just woke up on the wrong side of my bed " silver replied still on his cup " ohh , the wrong side because she isn't there….ohhhh my little silver is growing up" Lola said with a happy and mocking expression at the same time and silver had no other option but to gulp the remaining content and head out of the house because Lola was obviously in the mood to tease and frustrate him.
