Chapter 34

Addy arrived at the location, which is a fancy and luxurious bar. When they entered, not knowing to him, Clara was sitting in the corner of the bar with her friends chatting.

Addy guided Eva in the bar, as the manager personally came to take them to their private boot.

Clara saw them come in, luckily her friends didn't see them, and luckily for her, they won't be able to spot them where they are seating. She was so angry and jealous to see another woman with Addy on a Sunday afternoon when she asked him if he was less busy during the weekend, and now he looks like he's on a date with a woman.

She doesn't want her friends to notice and since she couldn't keep her composure, she suggested they go to some other place to have fun. They left the bar to another.

Addy and Eva enjoyed their company together as they spoke about general kinds of stuff and business, After two hours, Eva told him it was time to go back home, even though he didn't want that, he had already made up his mind that he wouldn't do anything to make her uncomfortable.

Eva wants to spend the remaining afternoon with her daughter, which is why she told Addy she wants to go home. On their way back to her house, they feel more comfortable and less awkward with each other as they cracked jokes.

When they got to Eva's house, she thanked him for the treatment and got off the car, but before she closed the car door, he thanked her as well and blew her a kiss. She blushed slightly before shutting the door.

Addy watched her as she walked toward the front door and a little girl which he assume was Rosie jumped on her to hug her. He smiled to himself, seeing the mother and daughter affection.

He could only see the side face of the little girl which looks awfully familiar, but it is really weird though, he could see his mother's face in her. "well that's very funny, I heard god creates two people with the same face in the world" he thought. Addy looks like his dad, but has his mother's pale blue eyes, with her smile.

He drove off after the duo has entered the house. Later that night he called Eva to check up on her.

Meanwhile, when Eva got back, she went to Lilian's room to check up on her. She knocked on the door before entering, Lilian was sat on the bed hold the card that Leo had sent with the flowers and the photo scan of the fetus.

"Lilian..." She knocked but there was no response, so she let herself in.

Lilian was shocked to hear her name called out of the blue, she quickly tried to hide the things in her hands, but she realised it was Eva, so she sighed.

"When did you get back," she asked. Eva had told Lilian she was going for a drink with a friend but didn't mention who, so she felt guilty.

"Are you thinking again?" Eva noticed the stuff in her hands.

"Hmm, I am..." she went silent for a while before she continued

"I have decided to forgive him since he's tried his best to apologise," Lilian said while still looking at the picture.

"At least for the sake of peanut, I will forgive him but I can't be his friend" Peanut was the name she gave her fetus then.

"You don't have to rush you know, and if you don't feel like forgiving him that's fine too" Eva encouraged her

"I know, I think for me to heal, I have to forgive him and try to forget the hurt"

"Either way you choose, I will be there for you, " Eva said as she hugged her.

After she's calm, Eva decided to tell her about her trip to City Y and how Addy has been calling her since that day onward, and that he's the friend she went out with today.

Lilian wasn't bothered about the fact that they were getting closer, she's only concerned that he's not like Leo. Although she doesn't like comparing people together an adage says "show me your friends and I will tell you who you are". She just hopes it's not birds of same feathers flock together.

Eva saw that Lilian was cool about it and wasn't angry. She was relieved, after a while of conversations to brighten her mood and having dinner, they all went to bed.

Sara on Sunday evening was skimming how she would get back on Eva and Lilian, she decided to call her manager to book an appointment with Eva concerning her upcoming wedding. She already got her wedding dress, but she thought this is the only way to gain her audience.

Her manager was confused and told her she already has a dress, but Sara threatened to fire her if she doesn't book the appointment. Her manager has no choice but to book the appointment the following day since it's weekend.

She then calls her ex-boyfriend to do a backgroundq search on Eva, so she can know her weakness and flaws.

Before hanging up her exboyfriend asked

"Did you know your friend Lilian was pregnant and was beaten up by some hoodlums and eventually lost the pregnancy. I honestly don't know how people can be wicked. I've tried to do more research on who sent them, by it seems the person is powerful enough to erase the incident" he sighed

"Oh really, that too bad, I just want to rekindle with her cos it's been a while since we've seen each other"

"Does Leo knows her as well because it was strange when I saw him around her building" he asked curiously

"I asked him about that and he said that building is owned by their company" she's trying not to give him any more information.

Her ex-boyfriend thought it was weird though. After they've finished their conversations, she went back to where Leo was, and smiled like nothing happened.
