Chapter 52

FieldView city organised a group journey headed by a Rank 5 Powerhouse from the StoneFortresses Government, in order to prevent any sneak attacks from the Eleflares.

But SS1 was unable to catch a glance at the powerhouse who led the envoy. He stayed within a gloriously decorated carriage pulled by two beasts tamed from within the Eternal Battlefield.

SS1 couldn't directly identify their strengths but he knows for sure that they are countless times stronger than him.

FieldView City ended up sending a total of 10,000 warriors to the city, this is a large amount for FieldView City, but the actual amount is quite small among the warriors that are going to participate in this battle.

And Samuel realised this as soon as SS1 saw StoneFortress City. Towering grey walls with various battle scars, crumbling down. But more noticeable was the swathes of figures entering through the huge gate.

There were easily a hundred thousand pouring in, and everyone exuded the aura of a warrior!

The Mortals who lined the streets looked on in awe at the convoy of people beyond their reach. And the Warriors were smiling happily holding a small cloth bag with two Spiritual Crystals sitting inside.

This is the same as a year's income for them, naturally they couldn't miss out on this profit.

When the Warriors arrived they immediately received the prize. After all, who knows how many people will survive so they naturally want their reward first.

As for the fear that someone will run away? The Government doesn't have that worry. The walls are all surveyed by powerful Rank 4 Warriors who are constantly on watch for the invasion.

Soon another month passed, and the number of warriors within the city grew to an insane number of 800,000!

And it was early on a Saturday that the horn of war rang throughout the city. All 800,000 warriors climbed onto the towering city walls while the rest stood behind the wall waiting for space to open up.

Samuel looked at the flood of people through the eyes of SS1 and was amazed, he didn't expect to participate in such a large battle so quickly.

However he still had no confidence as he looked at the thousands of humans preparing for battle, all of his attention was focused on the endless sea of roaring beasts lined up outside of the city.

The number seemed endless, and with their incredible size they took up thousands of metres in length.

Their consistent roars shook the ground and even knocked over mortals who were attempting to retreat from the area around the walls.

Suddenly SS1 lifted his head and looked towards the distance. A towering Eleflare over a hundred metres tall floated into the air hovering above the crowds of lower Rank Warriors.

The pressure it exuded began to push down all the Warriors on the wall, and just as SS1s body was trembling he began to wrap himself with the black smoke, a cricket old figure appeared above the sky over the Stone Fortress.

Despite his old looking body he produced an undeniable pressure easily comparable to the giant Eleflare outside despite being a fraction of the height.

Samuel didn't recognise the figure but he could guess that these humans and Eleflares were the star of the show today. From what he knows the strongest warriors involved in today's battle are Rank 6.

And these must be them.

These are figures near the pinnacle of the continent.

They can control a city with billions of people in them! That's the same as one seventh of Earth's population!

Of course SS1 isn't qualified to watch a fight between such bigwigs. With a strange puff of air both the Eleflare and the Old man disappeared and SS1 couldn't even see where they reappeared.

However not even a minute later all the Warriors below felt an insane amount of pressure as constant waves radiated from the atmosphere.

Clearly the battle above has started, which signified the start of the battle below.

Hundreds or thousands of figures from both sides floated up and disappeared once again into the distance. These were all the higher Rank Warriors above Rank 3.

With that starting signal, countless Eleflares charged towards the large walls. Unlike in the battle at FieldView City, the Human Warriors didn't dive off the wall to fight but instead kept the wall as a safety.

Countless arrows, stones, spears and even swords were thrown off the wall and flew towards the Rampaging Eleflares.

Blood Flowed quickly where their thin skin was pierced by the arrows. Many arrows accurately hit small targets, eyes, throats, even the interior of the beast's mouths were hit.

At this point the archers didn't have to focus and aim, they could fire shots repeatedly without a worry of missing the floods of Eleflares.

Samuel saw his points rise by 5 before the Eleflares even hit the wall!

But they did hit the wall, after at least fifty thousand deaths and more injuries the first wave of Eleflares smashed their sharp tusks against the solid stone wall.

And with a sickening crunch the second wave came, completely crushing their companions against the solid stone wall. But the effect was obvious, even the large walls couldn't resist thousands of warriors.

Cracks began to spread out as the Warriors above desperately released arrows and spears down below. Thousands of Eleflares fell with every wave, and bodies were starting to stack up.

But this didn't last long. 10 Minutes later the first section of the wall fell, taking thousands of Human Lives with it. This was a sign for the humans, except for those standing on an untouched piece of wall, the rest leaped off the wall as quickly as possible.

And so the hand to hand combat began and tough battles broke out everywhere. SS1 immediately summoned his copy and began to hunt down Low Rank 1 Eleflares.

He himself killed two Eleflares and got stuck in a tough battle with another Middle Rank 1.

The rest of the Dogs of War also jumped into battle. Unfortunately Samuel also lost 3 Dogs of War in the first half an hour of fighting.

But Samuels points were also skyrocketing, in the first hour he gained over 30 Points!

His total was closing in on 400!

By the end of this battle it is likely his Points will exceed 1,000! After all his Dogs of War can continuously switch out and return to the battlefield, the Eleflares will continue fighting despite being exhausted.

This makes it much easier to get kills and not worry about deaths. Not to mention a lot of the Dogs of War Samuel sent out had some sort of talent or Aura. Looking at the large number of warriors in this city there is only about 10% that Samuel could see with Auras.

And an even smaller amount have visible talents. Most talents aren't unique to the System after all, some Warriors will eventually develop a talent. But there are extremely small amounts of them and they often take hundreds of years to develop.
