"Really boring." Muria frowned as he appeared among a group of dragons watching the battle. He had swung his Axe of Awe ten times at that Demon Hunter Knight, who took all ten hits without striking back.
The knight had no interest in fighting, so Muria's craving for battle was not satisfied. But what could he do? He could only hold it in. Tonight, in Varianth, he fought everyone he could and approached those he could not, forcing a few moves on them.
Muria looked at the red dragon, whose injuries were still healing. "How long before you fully recover?"
"About two to three days."
"That's too long. Can you fly now?" Muria eyed the red dragon's wings, which he had broken but seemed to have healed.
"I can still fly." The red dragon, Othrales, flapped his nearly healed dragon wings.
"Good, then let's go!" Muria nodded, glanced around, and frowned slightly. "What about those werewolves?"
The four werewolves he had sliced into eight pieces were nowhere to be seen, leaving only four pools of filthy blood on the ground.
"Some humans in red robes took them away." The red dragon, Othrales, replied with a hint of disdain. "Those ants, seeing me lying here, thought they could touch me, but I scared them off with a roar."
"Is that so!" Muria glanced at the clergy cleaning up the battlefield, his eyes flickering. Those werewolves were his trophies, and the Dawn Church took them away without a word.
"Don't worry too much, brother Muria," the gold dragoness Caslana, sensing something, spoke up. "According to the rules of the Dawn Church, those four werewolves will be imprisoned in the Dawn Penitentiary.
And you, as the one who defeated them, will receive a generous reward according to their rules. Don't worry, humans dare not slight our metal dragon clan."
"Hmm."
"What do you plan to do next?"
"First, I'll collect Othrales's treasure with him." Muria said, turning his gaze to the twenty-four green dragons he had tied up and thrown on the ground. "Then, I'll deal with them."
"I can help you with that." The gold dragoness Caslana eyed the tied-up green dragons. "I can ask my grandfather to intervene on your behalf and demand a ransom from the Emerald Dream's Ysera."
"What compensation do I owe your grandfather?" Muria asked.
Even good dragons need to offer compensation for help. Clear accounts make for good friends. This is the best interpretation of relations within the metal dragon clan.
As for the chromatic dragon clans, sorry, they don't get the chance to keep accounts clear. When it comes to property disputes, fighting is the only option, even among mothers and daughters, fathers and sons. All chromatic dragons are naturally cold-hearted, with a very faint sense of kinship.
"No compensation needed." The gold dragoness grandly waved her hand, her gaze softening as she looked at Muria.
"Just help me... um." Caslana glanced at the curious red and green dragons around her and stopped. "Never mind, no compensation needed. If it weren't for your help, I might have been defeated and captured by these green dragons. That would have been a huge loss of face for me, so I'm asking my grandfather to intervene without any charge."
"..." Green dragon Fiona stayed silent on the side. It was normal for Caslana to be unable to withstand an attack from seven soul-level green dragons and thirty-two gold-level green dragons. But for them to capture her was a dream. Gold dragons, being innate mage dragons, could easily retreat. Even without Muria, Caslana could have easily escaped, losing some face at most. After all, green dragons don't have space-binding abilities like Muria.
...
"Is this your city?" Muria stood high above, looking down at a city with neat streets, buildings, trees, and a castle.
This city was even larger than Varianth, and although it didn't have as many visitors, its layout was much more orderly, and the peaceful atmosphere made Muria feel comfortable.
"Yes, this is the largest city in my territory, Bologna." Hearing Muria's praise, Caslana showed a hint of pride. She looked down at the bustling city below. "I oversaw its planning and construction. What do you think?"
"It's a beautiful city!" Muria admired the unique castle in the city center, genuinely impressed. "Caslana, I didn't expect you to be a lord dragon with such a prosperous city."
He had not anticipated that the first kin he met on this continent would be a renowned mage dragon and a lord dragon.
After Muria and Othrales collected his treasure, the gold dragoness Caslana invited Muria to her home. Without hesitation, Muria accepted the invitation, leading to the current scene.
A thousand-meter wide elemental vortex, shining with multicolored lights, slowly rotated above the city ruled by the gold dragon.
At the vortex's center stood a mage tower reaching into the clouds. This elemental vortex formed because of the nearly kilometer-tall mage tower.
"Welcome to my castle." Caslana observed the mild smile and calm eyes of Muria, feeling slightly disheartened. She realized that Muria's compliment was just a polite remark.
But it was understandable. The son of her idol wouldn't be as easily impressed as some naive rural dragons upon seeing her territory and city.
The green and red dragons beside Muria eyed the prosperous city with greed, but after noticing the massive elemental vortex and the seven mage towers, they shrank back.
This city was beyond their reach. Even the Crimson Wing Othrales could only leave with a bruised nose and a battered face.
"By the way, Caslana, where is your territory in Ionia?" Since they had traveled through a phase gate over a long distance to reach Bologna, Muria had no idea where he was and was curious.
"My territory lies at the intersection of the Norton Kingdom, the Baiye Duchy, and the Stan Duchy."
