Ability Awakens

After saying that he didn't care whether they listened or not, he started to demonstrate peculiar animalistic movements with yoga-like postures with rhythmic breathing.

"This technique is called the Shadow Wolf Refining Technique," he said.

"It consists of thirty-six distinct movements and nine postures, all coordinated with rhythmic breathing. Practicing it will gradually increase your strength and speed."

The instructor shifted through various poses—like a wolf pouncing on its prey and others with fluid, beast like movements.

Ash carefully observed every step. In his previous life, he hadn't practiced martial arts, as it had been easier to rely on genetic modification injections. But here, the circumstances were different. He would need to build his own strength if he wanted to protect himself in this unfamiliar world.

The instructor named Lucas demonstrated every step carefully and slowly for a few minutes before he ended his demonstration.

"Now, follow the steps I showed and start practicing," Lucas ordered.

Quickly the group started to train in the shadow wolf technique and show various degrees of understanding and mastery over their movements, as it wasn't their first time training.

Ash, who was seeing and trying this first time, felt weird, as it seems these weird and complicated movements and breathing didn't feel difficult.

He calmed his mind and carefully tried to follow the steps that Instructor Lucas showed.

His first movement was shaky, as his weak, unconditioned body struggled to keep up. However, on the second attempt, he improved slightly, and by the third, the progress was noticeable to the naked eye. He became lost in the rhythm of the training, entirely focused, ignoring everything else around him.

At first, Lucas didn't pay him much attention. But as Ash continued, the instructor couldn't help but notice his rapid progress. What initially seemed insignificant soon left Lucas bewildered—Ash was improving with every attempt, showing no signs of slowing down. After just a few tries, he had already surpassed others who had been training for days.

"This..." Lucas muttered, his expression filled with shock.

Ash kept improving, becoming better with every movement. But after a few more seconds, a sudden wave of pain and weakness spread through his entire body, forcing him to stop.

"Hmm..." He exhaled, trying to steady himself.

"Ahh." He felt pain and tired like he needed to rest, but after this minute and two of using this technique, he felt something about his body was different and could help him feel surprised.

'Could it be he is a genius? Otherwise, he shouldn't feel like this.'

He remembered that although martial arts were famous in his previous life, it was also the most difficult one to improve, as even after training for a year, the person might not be able to beat three or four ordinary people at a time. Whereas taking a few shots of genetic medicine can make you stronger than that within a week.

But Ash wasn't sure how talented he really was, so he glanced at Instructor Lucas. Lucas was watching him with a surprised expression, but the moment their eyes met, he quickly masked it.

Without a word, Lucas stepped closer and placed a hand on Ash's shoulder. Instantly, a warm, calming energy flowed through Ash's body, soothing his pain and making him feel at ease.

While he was feeling good, instructor Lucas brows furrowed as he felt the condition of his body.

"Your body is still too weak. You didn't need to train for two days; take rest and recover; otherwise, practicing the Shadow Wolf technique will have an adverse effect on your body."

Hearing that didn't feel much, but the other young guys present there felt surprised. As for them, instructor Lucas is a demon who will make them grind until dead, but now he suddenly became humane for Ash.

Ash nodded and walked to the side, sitting down in the shade of the trees to rest and gather his thoughts while the rest of the group continued practicing.

Earlier, he had wondered if he might have some talent in martial arts. But now, after seeing Instructor Lucas's reaction, he was certain—he really was a genius in martial arts.

Thinking of this, he couldn't help but feel lost. If he knew that he should have learnt martial arts, then he might not be this helpless facing those bastards from the founder clan.

But it also be possible that this is the original talent of this body and nothing to do with him or something else, as he didn't understand much about martial arts.

"Sigh! Everything is a mess. And damm again this pain!"

He felt the strange pain return, but this time it was different—his eyes began to tingle and the world seemed to slow down. A peculiar sensation stirred in his mind, and he caught a glimpse of a colourless crystal, something that felt oddly familiar, as if he had seen it before.

Boom!

His mind erupted, and in that instant, something changed within both his mind and eyes.

"Ahh... What is this?"

He was confused and shocked because he was seeing something weird and couldn't help but feel his brain might be a problem or is he hallucinating because he was out of breath.

[Lucas Stark – Level 08]

"What the f**k!"

As Ash stared at Instructor Lucas, he suddenly saw text floating above his head—his name and level, written in red.

He couldn't help but feel shocked and looked at the others who were training in the field.

[Adam- Level 01]

[Mark - Level 01]

[Anu - Level 01]

[David - Level 01]...

He naturally saw the floating names above their heads, with the only differences being that almost everyone of them was level 01 and their names weren't in red but in green.

"Calm down... Calm..."

He quickly took a deep breath to calm down his agitated heart as one after another weird and unimaginable thing was happening to him without giving him time to process all of this.

Although the world in previous life was mostly devastated, there were still all kinds of literature and games. The current situation was clearly similar to those shitty books. For some reason, he was able to see the names and levels of the people, like in games or novels.
